Initially The Kodak Easyshare Was A Good Looking C
Initially the Kodak EasyShare was a good looking camera & with the Kodak name you expect a good quality product. Unfortunatally it is a cheap & shoddy camera with a terrible battery life. Something you would buy in the market place at a third of the price. In a word rubbish.

There Are So Many Good Cameras Out There Now, That
There are so many good cameras out there now, that to me it doesn't make sense to buy this one. Problems include: 1) the infamous lens cap issue i.e. it doesn't always stay on. 2)battery hog: I find it will last about a day and half of normal shooting, although the battery low indicator comes on about 1 hour after first use. 3)lag time between pressing the shutter release, and actually taking the picture, is really annoying if you are trying to do anything but take posed pictures. 4) In my opinion, the worst problem is an issue with shutter speed or light metering, because many of the pictures are blurry or greyish, even when care is taken to hold the camera steady. What this means is that image quality is hit and miss - sometimes you get great pictures and other times not. I haven't been able to figure out the secret. Perhaps I am expecting too much from this entry (entry) level camera.

I Would Not Deal With P.c World Again Or Buy Anoth
I would not deal with P.C World again or buy another Kodak camera. I noticed an advert in the press the same week for a camera with the same spec at the same price they quoted for repair at £89.
I now have a Fuji S7000 camera that is excellent.

I Love This Kodak Cx4300 Digital Camera. I've Had
I love this Kodak CX4300 digital camera. I've had mine for a year or so and never had a problem. My sons can use it with ease. Kodak's batteries dont last long but it likes rechargeables.
My only gripe is I now want it to take filters, be able to change lenses and basicaly give more control. I know i'm expecting too much but that's the only problem here :)
Great camera for everyday use though.

This Kodak Cx4300 Digital Camera Is Excellent! Th
This Kodak CX4300 digital camera is excellent! The picture quality is phenomenal, my five year old son can easily take pictures with it, the batteries last forever, and the flash is really great too. Bought it at Best Buy as a refurb, and it has worked flawlessly since. I like the lens cover, and the slider power switch also works well for me. having to wait for the camera to take a picture, and waiting for it to process a picture can be a little frustrating, but the quality of the photos more than make up for this mild annoyance. Two thumbs up!!!

The Kodak Cx4300 Is An Excellent Digital Camera Fo
The Kodak CX4300 is an excellent digital camera for beginners. The cost being about one hundred and fifty dollars makes this an attractive price for people just getting into digital photography. At more then 3 megapixles it is a camera that exceeds most 35 mm cameras, and can be used to transfer the photos right into your computer and so much more.
I would have liked some optical zoom features, but for the price of the camera that is something that I would have gladly paid a bit more for. If I use the digital zoom I have to initialize it prior to taking the photo, and if I shut off the camera I have to start that all over again. Also, I have heard a lot of people complaining about the lens cap that is not secure. I found that if you take your finger nail and GENTLY run it around seam of the chrome ring right at the front of the lens assembly to just bring it out a very small amount and then snap the lens cap on with the KODAK on the front of the cap being straight across it will then hold.

Beware Of This Digital Camera!!! My Friend And I
Beware of this digital camera!!! My friend and I each bought a Kodak CX4300 in November of 2002. By the next summer, his could no longer take photos (the "eye" was broken, but all other functions worked). By the end of the summer, mine was randomly shutting off and on. At this point, it will only stay on if I keep my finger pressed against the "on" switch and hold it upright. Even when set down for uploading photos, it will shut off halfway through the upload and freeze the program.
I suppose you get what you pay for, but we would gladly trade in these broken cameras to get our money back. By the way, we've always treated them gently and kept them in cases when not in use.
I'd would *never* recommend this camera to a friend.
I agree fully. After about 1 1/2 years of very loving use...exceptional care I found the same results...
"At this point, it will only stay on if I keep my finger pressed against the "on" switch and hold it upright. Even when set down for uploading photos, it will shut off halfway through the upload and freeze the program."
I am so upset about this I feel although the warranty is out that Kodak should stand behind this camera...

Kodak Should Promote The Cx4300 Digital Camera Bet
Kodak should promote the CX4300 Digital camera better. I got mine from Wal Mart online during the holidays of 2002 when they first came out and payed around 150.00 US dollars. That is half of what other 3.2 mp camera cost. This is an ideal camera for the beginner while at the same time getting high quality photos that will enlarge to 11" X 14". The only drawback is that you do need the docking station for the battery charger capability as well as the one step download to your computer. Probably the best quality 3.2 mp camera on the market for the price and ideal for the beginner.

This Is A Good Overall Camera. It Does Not Have A
This is a good overall camera. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles but for the price you can't beat it. The photos I print out on photo paper are great. No trouble with the lens cap but it would be great to have a automatic one but hey for the price I will make do. Buy this camera if you are on a budget and want great pictures. You will need a computer of course.

All In All I Think That This Camera Represents Exc
All in all i think that this camera represents excellent value for money, and if its a family camera you are after then this will more than meet any requirements. The camera however does have alot of weaknesses, which is a shame given its terrific resolution. For me personally a camera like this needs optical zoom, as using the digital zoom just ruins the photo quality (one of the main reason for buying this camera!). Also the user needs to allows approximately 30 seconds for processing between each picture, again this was another let down for me. Finally the camera come with no added feature such as sepia and black and white shots, which is one of the reason i recommed this camera for someone not wanting to take professional photographs.
