I Have A Problem With My Screen Quality, The Probl
I have a problem with my screen quality, the problem is comming from the p.c.b below the screen. when the unit is switched on and the front cover is removed you can get a perfect picture by pressing the p.c.b, i have noticed that the p.c.b is twisted and there are subminature variable resistors on the board if so can a replcement be purchased.

This Is A Superb Peice Of Kit That I Got From My L
This is a superb peice of kit that i got from my local safeway for just £250 !!!
The built-in screen is excellent quality, and with good headphones the sound is superb too.
I am impressed that you can hook it up to your TV so that you can watch dvds on there too, plus it has an input so you can plug in anything that has a S-Video output or 3 phono plugs

The Naiko N-888 Offers Everything You Can Possibly
The Naiko N-888 offers everything you can possibly need for a powerful DVD experience. For a little more than the price of a normal full-sized DVD player, you get all the features of a standard DVD player in a compact unit.
The 16:9 format screen is 5 and a half inches wide, and offers fantastic quality for it's size. The Picture can be changed from 16:9 to 4:3 at the press of a button, so no more stretching the image on non-widescreen disks.
The Stereo speakers located underneith the screen are a bit quiet for my liking, and are hard to hear over the noise of a train or heavy traffic. But the unit comes supplied with a pair of earphones which offer great sound, and stop you from annoying fellow passengers.
The unit has Audio/Video ports on the side, which allows it to be plugged into any AV-capable TV, or a Scart socket with an adapter (not supplied) and use it as a normal DVD player. At the flick of a switch you can switch the ports to "AV-in" and plug in a portable games system such as the Nintendo Gamecube, without the need to buy a seperate portable monitor for it. It also has an S-Video out port.
Not only does it play DVDs, but it also plays regular CDs and MP3s burnt onto a CD-R. It's also multi-regional, a switch on the side allows you to play either PAL or NTSC disks, which means you can take it abroad with you and play any-region disk.
The Battery supplied clips onto the back of the unit, and fully charged offers 3-hours of continuous watching. It takes aproximately 5 hours to charge fully.
The unit is shipped with an AC/DC adapter, which allows you to plug it into the mains and not waste the battery (the same cable is used to recharge the removable battery pack). It is also supplied with an adapter for a cigarette lighter, so you can easily power it in a car or boat.
The Battery is quite heavy (heavier than the unit, in fact) but doesn't present any major problems. The unit is also supplied with a Naiko PRM-100 credit-card sized remote control, offering zoom functions, audio options, subtitles and more. Basically, everything you'll find on a full-sized remote for a normal DVD player.
I bought mine in Safeway for £250 and regularly use it on long-distance rail journies to work, the three-hour battery allows me to watch a full-length movie (sometimes even two, depending on the legth) before running out, and has made the four-and-a-half hour trip from Newcastle to Aberdeen much more pleasent.
Anyone who travels a lot will find the N-888 a godsend, ideal for use on long distance car journies (don't watch it while driving though ;), trains, boatrides and aircraft. I would recommend this to anyone who gets bored easily on such journies.
Anyone got a copy of the instalation manuel please?

Overall I'm Quite Pleased With This Player. At &po
Overall I'm quite pleased with this player. At £250 in my local Safeway it was half the price of a similar spec offering from Panasonic and the picture/sound quality wasn't far off. You'll be a little disappointed if you're intending to use the Naiko as a proper dvd player though as the playback quality while fine on a 5in screen is pretty poor on the big screen, optical output is provided for 5.1 digi sound though. Battery life seems ok (watched Lord of the Rings-just) but as it comes with both mains and car adapters unless you actually intend to take hiking with you it shouldn't be too much of an issue. It's quite a heavy and bulky unit compared to more upmarket ones and lacks some of the 'wow look at that' effect. To sum up as a fun toy and to keep the kids happy on long car journeys it's great but no substitute for a full size dvd player at home, but what did you expect for that money....
BTW even though it says it's region 2, it is actually multiregion and is now only £130 in the safeway sale!
