The Olympus Mju-300 Is The First Digital Camera Th
The Olympus Mju-300 is the first digital camera that I have owned (have used them for work over the last 7 years or so). Completely blown away by the picture quality, even with the digital zoom provided camera shake is absent (it is equivalent to a 400mm conventional lens, after all!). I couldn't really justify a higher pixel count before I bought it - definitely can't now.
Battery life seems OK (2 days of use - 100 shots + review / replay for friends) - probably the most flakey bit - a spare battery might be on my Xmas list.

Genesis Communications - What a camera!! Very sturdy and takes a real beating, good for a family camera that is going to be used a lot. Easy to use menu and with XD memory slot it has the possibly the best storage medium to save your pictures to. This camera looks amazing and has the performance to match.

This Olympus Mju-300 Is Typical Olympus Quality Wi
This Olympus Mju-300 is typical Olympus quality with a superb lens, the program selection requires some study to master all the available modes, but once mastered this digital camera gives sharp pics which are easily blown up to A4. The default setting on opening the shutter slide gives you instantly available standard point and shoot pics which also are sufficient quality to enlarge to A4.
An all round delight to use

The Olympus Mju-300 Digital Camera Is Very Attract
The Olympus Mju-300 Digital Camera is very attractive and this is what gives it a head start over other cameras in its category, saying that its a very capable compact camera with the ever reliable olympus lens,3x optical zoom and at 3.2mp you'll have no trouble printing A4 enlargements, the shots ive taken with natural light are crisp and clear and of a very high standard, for shots needing flash there is a choice of different settings which are easy to access within the digital interface. The lens barrier cover opens & shuts with ease and feels like quality, unlike some other high end digicams where the barrier feels fragile & cheap. The digital interface includes a menu wheel which rotates giving you an option of presets like portrait, landscape etc which can come in handy for quick shots & users who dont like to fiddle with the settings manually. The lens looks diminutive but dont let that put you off,the lens is a very powerful precise piece of equipment with all the quality that you would expect from a market leader, the optical zoom at 3x is about right for this category although i feel a 4x would'nt go amiss! The digital zoom is a waste of time on any optical component yet it is highlighted as a selling point by a lot of manufacturers! don't be fooled by digital zoom,it is a very poor media. There is also a short quick-time movie mode, which is ok,shame it does'nt have any sound! The lithium rechargeable battery supplied with the camera takes a couple of hours to charge and depending on your use of the moniter should last a long time.Overall the olympus mju300 in its metal chassis(waterproof)displays quality and looks expensive, you wont be disappointed.

I First Toyed With The Idea Of Part Exing My Minol
I first toyed with the idea of part exing my Minolta 404SI, lenses and flash, but decided to keep them and buy an average Digital. My budget was £200 and I was advised 3MP was ample for a first digital camera. I bought this Olympus Mju-300 digital camera four days ago in Jessops after much research through magazines & web sites. It was a toss up between this and a Canon A70. The Olympus won on build quality and pocketability. The Canon battery cover was very flimsy, plus reports on your previous reviews about parts being easily scratched. A local shop was asking £270 and Jessops was £289, Argos want £350, all bar a couple of pence. The local shop in Swansea was not able to do a price match with Amazon (£229)but Jessops sold it to me for £230 and £40 for a 128MB XD Card, which was £50, but again did a price match for me. I am very happy with my purchase so far. I haven't seen my own results but I have seen other peoples with the same camera. Nobody seems to have the stick on display protectors though.
I've been considering the Canon A70 and been put off by other reviews; I already have a mju-II 80 (35mm compact) with a weather-proof case, so the mju-300 appeals to me.
Is lack of manual features on this camera a problem?

Have Had This Camera About A Week And Havent Been
Have had this camera about a week and havent been able to put it down. Aside from it looking absolutely fabulous!!! (doesnt help taking pictures but doesnt half get people admiring), pictures are very easy to take and modify to suit....remote control and timer easy to use! menu option simple and understanable...a joy to own and use in short. Pity it didnt come with a carry case to protect, ah well only real complaint i have, fabulous quality for the money! would advise anyone to buy one
