Good Bike
Have owned two of these first one was a 2000 model 100cc it was quick but didn't last long blow the engine and lots of other things went wrong, just bought a 2007 model and been cruising around on it seems very slow to pull off but pretty quick for a ped, mine has "aftermarket" exhaust which does give a little more top end but haven't fully gone flat out yet

Eating My Fuel Like Crazy!!!
I seem to be putting in a full tank every other day on this costing me about £8 every other day in fuel - i worked out from 6pm yesterday to 3pm today i had done 68km and was nearly empty
Also wont start on back brake & have to use front brake all time which doesn't always kick in first time normally have to keep my finger on the button for a bit before it fires up
Its just had a full service so dont know what to do
its an 06 plate DE restricted with an aftermarket exhaust ive had it about 10 days and had rac out 3 times
thanks
carl
can any of you guys tell me what the master key looks like plz,, bought a 100cc 3 mths ago and the immobilizer has kicked in and i dont know if i have master key, sot 2 keys with bike so not sure what one is what??
Because youve got it de restricted and you have aftermarket stuff for the bike you will loose reliability from the bike I suggest you take all the aftermarket stuff off and buy standard stuff as I have one of these and I fill up every 5 days at 6.80 for full tank and I do 40miles a day

Really Good Bike If Kept Stock
First of all this is one bloody tough bike. I have the 100cc good acceleration. The previous owner had 2 high impact crashes into another car head on but there is no damage at all! I myself am a mechanic and know my bit when it comes to bikes, I have to say despite the single arm it is really tough. This bike has also been sliding down roads on its side from the crashes and does have some deep scratches all along both side but the bike is mechanically sound, in fact these crashes have somehow magically fixed the immobiliser. Before, it used to not start sometimes but now it has started perfectly every time for months. The ride is good and looks great apart from the back being a little fat but all in all this is a bike for someone who is not interested in tuning their ped like Runners, tyfs etc... I have beaten a 125 geared 4 stroke in a race on mine.

Just Bought A Well Looked After Speedfight 2 100cc
Just bought a well looked after speedfight 2 100cc, it's never been crashed or owned by a teenager, the previous owner was a thirty year old man who had a 1200cc fireblade he just found the speedfight to be great value for money in comparison, and he's right, it gets you from A to B fast and efficiently, however after owning the bike for 24hrs the crankshaft went. It is going to require a complete engine rebuild and there was nothing anyone could have done to prevent it. This just goes to show how even if you look after your bike and never crash it and use it responsibly, there is always the problem with general wear and tear, although my 24hrs with this bike was wonderfully smooth and fast, it makes you think if it was ever worth the money you pay for a bike which has 'a history of design faults', according to a specialist mechanic in Leicestershire who only deals with Peugeot scooters, he sees 'this thing all the time'. So overall a wicked bike to ride, and very cost effective until it comes to repairs which really could have been avoided by the manufacturers.

Had My Speedfight 100cc For 12 Months Now And Its
had my speedfight 100cc for 12 months now and its been completely reliable and great fun i'm in my thirties, and got fed up with it taken me nearly an hour to get back from work in the car it now takes 30mins max and costs a whole lot less getting 80 mpg travelling through town and not half as tired when i get home like i said fun.
I fitted a 37cm sports screen to keep the weather off abit and it works when your moving keeping the cold and rain off upto my helmet(i'm 5ft 8)and i was amazed that it now does a genuine 60mph and cruises a lot better at 50mph so must be doing better mpg as well.
the brakes are excellent and make it a lot safer than other scooters, the handleing to me is very good, light enough to through about(when you need to get out of trouble)and good enough to have good fun round the corners.
I've had quite a few big bikes and scooters over the years and really do find the speedfight the BEST for using daily as its light to handle in and out of the garage, has built in imoldilizer, built in chain for putting round a lamppost etc,and of course underseat helmet storage which all means i can walk away in seconds knowing its save and secure with no need to carry a helmet and bike gear around with me(i have a topbox fitted)also the scooter keeps me alot drier.
(why don't all scooters have this security,i've my garage broken into 7 times and theyv'ed have never even bothered trying to steal it).
parts are dirt cheap off ebay(i've nether gone to peugeot ) all though you shouldn't need many if you spend a little extra and buy a good one and look after it.
depreiation as got to be one of the lowest around 2000 models still sell for 500+ and only cost around 1800 new.
shame its a 2 stroke but you carn't have everything
pionts to look out for, front fork keep well greased as bearings wear and it can rot through.
shockers are prone to going
worst if not maintained/replaced(£1) the nut comes off the crank and this will write off your engine(£200 plus to get fixed)
imolbilizers(keep your battery charged) can pack up and cost £55 to £120 to bypass(way to expensive to replace)
easy to keep on the road as parts are everywere

I Got My Speedfight 2 100cc As A Step Up From A 50
I got my SpeedFight 2 100cc as a step up from a 50cc Trekker moped at 17, and the power difference is really quite noticeable. Really fun to ride although i didnt ever feel 100% safe with the single-sided front suspension so that has been swapped for a pair of Trekker front forks which i feel improves the handling greatly. My only concern is the speed of my bike, its de-restricted, has an aftermarket exhaust, different rollers and a polini clutch and it does accelerate quite rapidly, it tops out at 58.9mph (gps speed), which i find surprising as some people on here are claiming 60mph bog standard. I'm not finished tuning but if you're looking for a quick bike to tune, i'd recommend a Piaggio Zip 125 or Gilera Runner 125 as they have the most tuneable engines (the Zip especially). That said, the SpeedFight is still a good bike and one of the better looking on the market in my opionion.
i have a speedfight 2 100cc and the bike does 70mph and still has some more revs on it. i love my bike and i have had a gilera runner sp 50 vx 125 and i would recommend the speedfight due to its just the best bike on the market at the moment
