T20 Tickets
My tickets arrived on time. I went to the post office and signed for them. The day of the festival I checked that I had my ticket and I noticed they did not have my name on it!!!
I was a bit anxious as they were checking ID aganst tickets to let you in!! My tickets had a male person name on it and I am female!!
As it happened they did not look in too much detal and I went in ok. The problem was as the weekend went on they tickets were checked again and again (eve thugh I had my wrist band). I had to x my fingers and hope all was ok.
I cannot understand why this happened as the envelope the tickets arrived in had my correct details. I did not think to check the actual ticket.
My advice is to chck all details immediately that they arrive so avoid ay unneccesary stress!!
I would, however use this service again as it was quick and simple.

Another Year And Another T In The Park, And How I
Another year and another T in the park, and how I love the Scottish as they know how to party. This year was no exception for anyone who has never been before the real success at T is the crowd and this was backed up by a good line up from The Killers headlining in the main stage, to Jet over in King Tuts Sunday evening and all those bands that you just know are not going to last like The Gossip who really grossed me out when Beth Ditto took of her sweaty tights and sniffed the crotch before throwing them away and Mika who really is just a one hit wonder trying to get as much out of his 15 minutes as he can.
Food on site was all the usual suspects however after my 4th Aberdeen Angus burger (£4) I noticed a sign that read - this outlet is registered to sell Aberdeen Angus Carcus - although it did say other things on the sign I did turn Veggie the rest of the weekend just on that thought. One thing I didn't notice on site which I later found out when I was home is that they had some celebrity chefs in the green quarter doing cooking presentations, I wish I'd have checked them out but I was too busy with the jam packed line up.
The weather was everything you expected it to be; from the proper mud puddles up to your thighs on the Friday night (believe me I jumped in a few) to warm and dry weather on the Saturday and Sunday - we, my good friend and I came back totally sun burnt on our faces but it was so worth it.
Now to leave on a bad point. The camp site. This was the first year I had stayed on the official site usually opting for Hattonburn up the road but with the extra Friday night for campers we decided to stay on site. This was possibly the worst decision ever made, the entrance on to site from the car park was a long one but expected and although there was heighten security this went with minimal disruption to the happy campers. Once on site we pitched our tent and started the long long long long long long long long (are you getting the picture) hike to the arena. Honestly there really was no need to walk almost the full perimeter of the site just to gain entrance to the festival. I know that there is a bit of a walk at Leeds and absolutely no walk a V Stafford so why did the promoter feel that we needed to walk a full hour to get from are tents to the arena and back again. Also they advertised free water on site and this was true but it was only a trickle and no good to man nor beast. Lastly and the worst of the whole weekend was the toilets. Now I am not a prude and I know what to expect and it is not pleasant but to have a small amount of toilets available and not to have them cleaned once over the four days is appalling. The contents of the toilets at best on the Saturday evening was higher than the toilet seat. I was on the Blue camp site and at no point where these cleaned not on the Sunday or Monday. This was not only disgusting but a huge health risk. I hope some one reads this and rectifies the problem for next year. (Arena toilets were fine)
Overall the best festival for acts and atmosphere but I would not recommend camping on site.

This Is The 4th T In The Park I've Attended, And B
This is the 4th T in the Park I've attended, and by far the best, the crowds were great, the bands were awesome, but the food outlets were very repetative, the car park staff didn't know where you should be parking, still managed to get out OK. Its a large festival site, larger than Reading/Leeds
I too was at T this year and would agree that it was by far the best festival. However I thought that the car parking was badly organised as it took us 2 plus hours to leave on the Sunday night. I would also have to disagree about the size of the festival in comparison with Leeds as I think it is the larger but as you said very poor in comparison.

I Went To T Having Acquired Tickets Off Someone Wh
I went to T having acquired tickets off someone who couldn't go. Sadly they were weekend without camping so required us to camp 4 miles up the road. The facilities there were lovely but the 4 mile hike on Saturday night in the rain was abysmal.
Having said that, everything else about this festival was brilliant. I go to at least a couple of music festivals every summer and I've never experienced as friendly and happy an atmosphere at any festival. This is what Glastonbury is supposed to be like but is not. People were polite, talkative and a lot of fun. The bands were varied and with something like 6 stages there was always something to see from the mainstream bilge of Hard-Fi to the manic strangeness of Animal Collective. You'd be hard-pressed to not find a band you liked, unless you were a metalhead.
We had 2 days, basically, friendly fun, fantastic music, highlights of which for me were Eels, despite appearing 50 minutes late, delivering a remarkable rock set; the celebratory dancing of Alex Ounsworth of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the lush beauty of the Guillemots and the urgent indie pop of the On Offs.
If you wanted more than music there were plenty of rides, stalls and really just wandering about talking to people was good fun too. This was a fantastic festival in every way, well organised, well-executed and well attended. I am only sorry that I didn't have the £115 necessary to buy a ticket in the pre-sale for next year cause I will definitely be attending T in the Park again.
I like your review and believe you summed up the excellent crowd and line up, only things I didn't agree with is your thoughts on Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (each to their own), however the on/offs where superb. One other point I would like to make is your comment on the toilets, I guess you weren't at V this year as they were the worst toilets in the world and the queues where 10 times worse.

T In The Park Was An Excellent Experience. I Would
T In the Park was an excellent experience. I would like to point out that whoever signed up Orbital and Snow Patrol to King Tuts Tent grossly under estimated the amount of people who would want to see them. The crowds were ridiculous for these events. Might I suggest that Orbital and Snow Patrol should have played at the NME Stage as King Tuts was too small. Saying that, both were excellent and having the Darkness close on Saturday was an great idea. I would recommend the experience to anyone and top marks for the overall fantastic atmosphere.
