Online Code Fails

I was given a 40% off online code on Cushionwalk and Barratts shoes. When I go online what do I see, those brands are already discounted. Fair enough, I said maybe the code works only on full priced items (of those brands) and guess what, THEY DONT !!! So, all the decorated email from barratts about a valued customer, etc was all a farce. Don't trust this company anymore.

Black shoes ordered, tan shoes arrived... nobody answers the phone or emails.. paid over £8 to send back.. impossible to make contact with them... Avoid at all cost.. dreadful company..

Awful Company

I ordered some shoes on the 18th January. Waited a week and messaged them in regards to where the shoes were. Nothing back. Messaged the next day and I had a message back saying they'd look into it. A few days later nothing back. Left them a comment on FB and actually got someone's attention. However two days later waiting for them to locate my missing shoes or at least give me my money back. A waste of space company.

A Complete Waste Of Time

I could write war and peace on the subject of ordering from this company. My best advice is DON''T, not unless you want a load of hassle, aggravation and excuses. If you do foolishly order something and have to return it note that the Freepost address they give you does not allow you to track the returned item thereby ensuring safe return. They eventually sent me the wrong item which I have returned and because the shoes cost almost £60, I thought it wise to send them back so they could be tracked.......it cost me £8.45 which Barratts have now refused to refund. I will never use this company again. Just waiting to see how long the refund takes to go back into my account now.

Cheap Rip Off Shoes

Ordered some school shoes for my 7yr old son and they lasted 3 weeks before completely falling to bits- waste of time and money! The shoes came apart at the front then the bottom just flapped open eventually after using glue to repair them they gave up completely with the rubber sole just falling off! Never would buy again from barratts the shoes were £14.99 and £3.99 delivery- waste of money

Stirling Store An Absolute Joke.

Took a pair of boots that I'd bought for my daughter back five days after purchasing them.The reason for taking them back was because the heel protectors had came off both heels revealing metal which was abusing my daughter to slip!.The general manager,maybe late fifties early sixties,just told me no,she wasn't going to offer an exchange and I'd have to go to trading standards.When I asked for her head office number she wouldn't give me it,she said I'd find it somewhere online.I had told her I'd bought the boots for my daughter to wear to school,her reply was fashion boots are not for school and it was the way my daughter was walking that had caused the fault.Absolute joke of a lady.I will make sure friends and family are told about this disgraceful customer service and we will NOT be returning in future.

Was Not Even Told Order Had Been Lost In Trasit

I ordered a pair of sandals for my daughter. This was nine days ago. So I ring customer services for the man to tell me they have been lost in transit and they had no more in stock. So I was on my mobile for about 7 minutes, so no shoes and its cost me money to ring them. Will not be buying anything from barretts again.

Appalling Slow Service - Cancelling Order That Was Paid For

On 2 May 2013 I ordered a pair of shoes from Barratts as a present.

I received an email acknowledgement with order number and acknowledgement

of payment. I waited to receive an email telling me the shoes had been

despatched. No email arrived until 7 May 2013 when I received an email

from Barratts telling me that "due to quality issues" with stock, they had

cancelled my order. A bit late for me to find a replacement present!

I understand the law of contract says if a seller accepts the buyers

money for the order that is a contract. Barratts should have offered

me an alternative and not just broken the contract to sell me shoes

without offering that.

A couple of years ago another on line shoe retailer emailed to say

they couldn't supply my shoes from their warehouse, but were asking

their branches to search for a pair. They responded promptly, kept

me updated and did supply my shoes.

What a contrast to Barratts. There is no telephone number to contact

on their online site and no address. I had to use the Barratts

Customer Support link on their website to complain - so have no

access to a copy of my complaint, made on 7 May 2013. Surprise,

surprise, they haven't even acknowledged my complaint.

I've now found your website, so at least I can warn other would-be

customers. Not only is Barratt's service slow and inefficent, their

response to complaints beggars belief. I regularly shop on line and their customer service is the worst I have come across. To add insult

to injury their email stated that it could take 7 days to refund my

money.

Wrong Delivery, Great Customer Service

I ordered a pair of boots online, and was delighted when they arrived ahead of the estimated delivery date. However, when I put them on they felt kind of funny. Turns out I had been sent a size 40 left boot and a size 39 right boot! Customer services were very apologetic and offered to send out a new pair, but they were out of stock. I received a full refund and a large discount on my next order from Barratts. Yes, it was inconvenient, but they picked up the phone straightaway when I called and offered to fix the problem immediately. The people I spoke to were really friendly and professional. I've never experienced this quality of customer service with any other company, and I think it definitely makes up for the initial error.

I bought shoes from Barratts in Debenhams. I have only had them for under 3 months and they have already come apart from the side and bottom. Can I exchange them, although I would prefer to get a refund on them. Can you advise me on what to do?
