I've had my Mojito Custom 50cc for two years. In this time I've only driven it for about 5000km, which is a really low mileage. I've had the scooter serviced on a regular basis, which is 1000km and 5000km intervals. So with other words I've just had my 5000km service. In these two years the I've had to hand in my scooter to the workshop twice (besides the two regular services) so 4 times in total (this already kind of gives you an indication of the reliability or should I say the lack of it).The first time I had my scooter in for repair it was in the workshop for 4 months... this because they had to change the "stop switch button"!!?? The reason for the time it had to spend there was that Aprilia in Italy wasn't responding to the warranty claim they were making! Thanks for the service Aprilia...The second time I had to take it to the Aprilia Centre was 1 month after I had my 5000km service. Apparently the exhaust pipe had broken!? The exhaust pipe!!?? A new exhaust pipe costs £265 and this is EXCLUDING any work. With labour I've been told it will set me back around £370... I asked them how this can be possible, first of all how can an exhaust pipe break after such a short period of time, and what do I do if this happens in 6 months again.. do I have to pay another £400... Needless to say they did not have an answer. My advise is to stay clear of Aprilia, it's not worth the hassle. I paid £1700 for my scooter, in the two years I've had it, I've spent about £700 in repairs and service charges...It's beyond me how a scooter that is regularly serviced, well cared for, rarely driven breaks down to the extent that it will cost over £700 in service and repair charges in two years...
It ' S All Very Nice To Say The Aprilia Habana Is
It ' s all very nice to say the Aprilia Habana is the best riding scooter, or it looks retro, or I love the colors. But there are 2 important things you guys leave out; parts and seat height (from ground to the top of the seat). It seems not many people think that's important. If you can' get parts or have to wait forever to get them, oh well! If you ' re short and your feet can't touch the ground because you're afraid of heights, oh well! Seat height for shorter people who are touchy about riding these things anyway, should make seat heights between 26" and 28". Otherwise start building trike scooters. The baby boomers will love them.

The World Is Waking Up To Motorcycles, Scooters, A
The world is waking up to motorcycles, scooters, and hopefully, trikes! Some may find the Aprilia Habanas have wide seats, can't get your legs down easily, it's like straddling a kitchen chair.

All my friends have speed fights and nrg's but I have a sports exhaust and a 70cc kit, so my Aprilia Habana 50 keeps up with them now. Before I had anything done, it went 35 flat, but now I get 60+. It's cool and looks great! Like a Vespa but I would say better.
I would say if you can get one for about £700 and have around £300 to make it better, which includes speed and acceleration, you will have a very nice and fast bike, but if you don't have that sort of money, stick to the speed fights and nrg's.
I've got a Habana 50cc and I want to put a 70 kit on it and a sports exhaust on it, I just wondered where you got yours from?

I have a Aprilia Habana 50 Scooter and they are exelent to ride. They are very comfortable but do have bad acceleration so its not easy to get out of some situations. The wide handlebars on the custom make it very easy to handle. They also don't use much petrol and oil.
