Hermes

The click and collect service which is contracted out to Hermes is appalling. My items which I'd ordered in good time for a weekend away did not arrive in time and Boden did nothing to assist, insisting that although they were able to confirm where the items were (at Hermes depot),they had no way of expediting delivery or talking directly to anyone at Hermes. I have had a similar experience with Hermes when ordering thro' another mail order company and I will steer well clear in future. Boden - you need to sort a better courier or start losing custom.

i love mini boden clothes very cute and good quality. however don't like the fact that so many clothes now are produced in china and some fabric seems thin- however if you not happy you can return for free if you order during promotion and can keep labels for later. returns are fast and loads of discount codes available if you do a little search. customer service is good first time ever had problem with delivery and boden sorted all themselves yes a bit incovinient but mistakes happen. and also not to forget they regulary reward their loyal customers with £10 credit

Wrong Item Sent!

Sent me completely the wrong item, had to chase them up twice as no one replied to me. The item they sent me was also wrong in value, so they ended up taking more money off me for an item that was not worth that amount.

After all this I was offered nothing in compensation for having to send the incorrect order back or the fact that this was a birthday present that was now going to arrive late, or the fact that I received bad customer service.

For a first time order I'm disgusted, I won't be ordering from them again.

It's a shame as the clothes look lovely but clearly they haven't got the hang of online orders. They need to sort it out and offer their customers something extra when it's them who make the mistakes.

Unhappy customer.

Poor Quality, Even With 15% Discount

Have been ordering from Boden on and off for many years. The quality has definitely declined and some of the fabric is really thin. I have got two tops which I bought about 8 years ago and they still fit, believe it or not, and still look good. The three items delivered today looked poor quality, even before I took them out of the bag. The jeans don`t fit, yet I have ordered that same size before. Inconsistency in sizing with Boden is another problem. The normal price of the shirt is nearly £40, which I wouldn`t call cheap, but it looks cheap. The long sleeve crew neck is really thin so don`t know how it would wash. All being returned, I`m afraid.

Clearly Hermes have no intention of delivering your goods and you have persistently failed to do anything about this other than waste my time

I am beyond furious. Hermes HAVE NOT once attempted to deliver since Saturday. I have waited in on all three occasions and Boden HAS NOT once attempted to assist the situation other than regurgitate Hermes feeble and dishonest excuses.

Clearly, you no longer have any concern for your customers or your own reputation.The way I have been treated is an utter disgrace.

Poor Quality Blouse

I bought a long sleeved ladies' blouse. The cloth was really thin and when I washed it, it shrank considerably. I was dismayed as I had got the impression Boden sold high quality stuff. Boden, you need to improve quality. I don't mind paying high prices if the quality of the items is good.

Mini Boden = Poor Quality - First And Last Time As Customer

As a mother to a 3 1/2 year old, I like to buy quality clothes at a reasonable price. Clothes have to be of good quality and durability, hence I prefer to buy from MS and Next for my LO generally at sale time or second hand items on Ebay.

I was enticed by a £15 money off voucher sent in the post to me last month by Boden which coincided with their November sale. Knowing of the Boden brand being a middle class, expensive but quality clothing (how have things moved on!), I ordered a pack of 7 pairs socks of star design and 2 pairs of footless cable knot tights for my LO having read the product reviews. After the money off voucher and the sale prices, I only paid £10.20. Bargain I thought. The socks were part of a Xmas stocking gift and the tights to be worn when my LO is older. My Lo wore the 1st pair which were put in the wash but came out all bobbled, equivalent to several weeks worth of wear. I had thought that the socks were caught up with something else in the wash but unfortunately the quality of the socks were confirmed when a second pair was worn and inspected before being put in the wash. Despite my Lo wearing slippers with the socks all day today, the socks were just as bobbled. Having read the small print for returns, Boden will accept returns but the return delivery is at the expense of the purchaser. How unreasonable is this! These socks are of a funky design but let down by wear quality. Socks are of worse quality than socks you would get from Poundland. Will not buy from Boden again and will stick to the usual outlets. I also suspect that the product reviews may not be of a general selection.

I can not comment about the Customer Service other than the products were delivered on time and I did get a personal message on my answering machine a couple of weeks later from Boden to follow up the delivered order which I thought was a nice touch but maybe it was a sales ploy!

How The Mighty Have Fallen...

I've been a Boden customer since the early 1990s when they were slightly quirky, fun and the quality of the clothes was superb. Customer services, on the rare occasion they had to be contacted, were fabulous. I still have several items bought nearly twenty years ago and they still look good!

I became increasingly disillusioned with the quality during the 2000s and finally gave up on them altogether around 2010 when I had an issue with some trousers being the correct size; customer services didn't want to know.

Times move on I accept but the old Boden appealed to young and old alike and the quality was excellent. I used to get regular comments asking where I had bought a shirt, pair of swimming trunks or whatever.

It's sad when a company looses sight of it's USP. RIP the real Boden.

Delayed Delivery And Poor Customer Service

I ordered a coat showing a one week waiting time, as a birthday gift. When it didn't arrive I phoned Boden and was told it would be delivered within about 3 days. It did not arrive. I phoned again and was told by a different operator that she did not know where the coat was but thought it might be in final inspection and would be delivered soon. It did not arrive.

I emailed Boden Customer Services (a misnomer if ever there was one) and received a reply from James Malyon saying that he would contact their Merchandising Department and would let me know a delivery date. Seven (yes, 7) days later I am still waiting for an answer,

The birthday in question has now passed.

I shall never order from Boden again - it is no wonder that their business is in trouble.

Further to my review above. I have just been informed by Boden Customer Services that the coat will be delivered by 14th October and I have been given a £15 discount, so well done, Boden, finally.

Down The Drain Definitely They Have Gone

I used to love Boden, I would wait eagerly for their Bodenpreview page to appear, announcing the next season's stuff. I had people here in Italy asking me where the hell I got my clothes...and that's a comment coming from style- crazy Italians. I loved their qiuirky Englishness and it suited me as a sort of exiled Brit over here in southern Italy.

No more the case, sadly to say. The last few orders I've had from Boden have been badly fitting and cheap, quality-wise and not pricewise. I realize stuff has been made in China for years now but the quality is noticeably worse and there is no uniformity in the fit of things. The worst products of all are shoes. They often come one longer/wider than the other and the last pair I had were fabric and dirty. I can't afford to return stuff from Italy as it is expensive and fiddly.

On a final note i would say that customer service has gone to being personal and attentive to purely inefficient and indifferent. Sad because they had built up quite a business there. At least there will be plenty of stuff in stock when their sale comes round, if it's worth buying at least.

Not only is the quality suffering but I think the styling is off as well. Seems they only style for the small among us. I'm not a large lady but I am busty. I love a V neck but all of the dresses are either high necks or so low I need a cami. Being busty I hate to have to add another layer up top.

When I wear the dresses from past years all I get are compliments. I love my wrap dress - my first Boden purchase and still my favorite.

Please bring back the style. I need dresses.
