We've eaten here several times and never been disappointed , the staff are

always friendly and professional even when under pressure during busy times , the menu is always varied , the food fresh , delicious and very nicely presented . Excellent wine list too . The three course set menu excellent value . All in all ; fine dining with old fashioned service in a modern , relaxed setting.

First time was great and really good food was served, however we went a few weeks ago and the food was poor. The seafood sauce on the main dish was overcooked and the prawns were really tough. The desert appeared to be from the cash and carry. The saving grace was the wine as it made the evening out bearable. The Staff were friendly but the value of the venue is questionable. Would I book again? Probably not at those prices. The Boathouse in Leigh on Sea has the wow factor and the food is always excellent and better value.

The Magic Mushroom a wonderful way to spend Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is relaxed, food wonderful and staff pleasent and friendly.
