Tarantino, Brentwood

I have been a customer for many years but on visiting Friday 10 October disappointed. The potatoes were cold. The vegetables extortionately priced for 2 £17. Wine was overpriced at £9.l per glass coke £4.50. They are charging excessive prices for an average bistro. It isn’t a high class restaurant . Wouldn’t go back

Hubbie and I booked a nice romantic evening for two. Soft lights, sweet music, good food Aaaaaahhhhhh

We got stag do x 14, hen do x16 and a big family from grandma to great grand child.

Food was cold and boring.

When we complained were told we should have booked a table downstairs.

Never been here before who the hell knew.

If you want a stag or on do great,,, romantic dinner. Try somewhere else.

My husband and I went to Tarantino's in Brentwood for an anniversary meal. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and value for money. It reminded us of a 1970's cliched Italian restaurant with paintings of Venice on the wall and quantity instead of quality for the food. It was our first time there and will be our last.

The staff were very good and attentive, however this will not make us return or recommend this restaurant to anyone.

what an amazing little find!! Its just like having a taste of Italy right here in Brentwood! My friend suggested I take my girlfriend here for a surprise romantic meal and well we were not disappointed at all! Food and service were spot on! I opted for the Scallop and King prawn linguine and I have never tasted pasta like it! My girlfriend had the calamari to start with, normally calamari has a heavy batter...this was the lighest most delicious calamari! I even tried some and I am not a fish lover! The menu has something to suit all tastes and the chefs are flexible as the food is prepared straight from scratch so if you don't like something you dont have to have it!!

I have been coming to Tarantino in Brentwood for several years. The food is always fantastic and the staff are extremely accommodating.

I recently discovered that they also have another restaurant in Hornchurch which is slightly larger than the one at Brentwood. The food here is just as amazing and authentic. Friday and Saturday nights their famous party nights with live music and a disco. Perfect for my boyfriends 30th birthday!! Absolutely amazing will definately be recommending this restaurant to all my friends!!

Tarantino in Crown Street, Brentwood, is a top quality restaurant. All the food is freshly prepared, so if you don't like mushrooms, for example, like me, then the chef will cater to your requirements with no fuss. the restaurant is cosy and has fantastic mural scenes of Venice (we have seen the artist painting at lunchtimes too - what a bonus), painted in a way that you feel that you are really there. The waiting staff are charming and polite and enthusiastic about their restaurant and happy to advise you on your menu, wine choice, italian language or even where to stay when visiting Italy! My summary - it is like a mini holiday when it is a matter of lunch or dinner - a wonderful escape - I still haven't managed a live music night, but it is next on the list!

Our first visit to Tarantinos was a big let down, after reading all the splendid reviews. The service was great but the food was overpriced and of poor quality. The bill came to £90 for 3 of us eating only 2 courses of below average food, which was frankly a disgrace.

The food at Tarantino in Brentowwd is Italian food at its best, the Italian way. The pizzas are cooked with real mozzarella for example. It is a relaxing, friendly environment.

We first discovered Tarantino in Ilchester on the way back home from Cornwall. We were very impressed, and wished we had a similar Italian restaurant nearer home. It was only when we looked at the restaurants card some days later, and we were amazed to find that there were two sister restaurants in Essex. It took us a year to get around to going to the Brentwood one, but we were not disappointed. The food was every bit as good as the one in Ilchester, and reasonably priced. We live in the North of the county and do not know of a better Italian restaurant in Essex.

I was told about Tarantino by a friend who lived local. Been there on a number of occassions. The staff are friendly and the food is very good. Ample portions and well presented. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. I took my girlfriend there on our first date and it impressed her enough to marry me :o)
