Juboraj Tandoori Restaurant, Brentwood

This was our favourite Indian until last Saturday, The food was average to say the least! We had previously been here before and was impressed with the food, But for some reason Saturday nights food didn’t meet up to expectations, All thick sauce which tasted same across the dishes,, Meat tough! When the waiter asked if everything was ok I very politely said it wasn’t as good as last time. The Manager came by and laughed and said "Next time we make it good for you" Then landed me with full price Bill,,, I paid never left a tip and won’t be chancing it again since we travelled from Chelmsford,, Your only as good as your last service, This was not good. Got to find another favourite now.

Always go there, they been around for years, I used to go when I was young with my parents, now go with my other half, they always look after us. Genuinely nice people who run this place. Consistent food for years. I'm addicted to their dansak! Always busy in the weekends but they are quite big inside so theres always a table free if ur prepared to wait a few minutes nut best to book.

This was our second visit to the Jubaraj, the first visit I thought my friend's King Prawn Dansak was the tastiest so I ordered that this time, as did my friend again. He is not one to complain ever!

When it arrived it was just luke warm, whilst eating it my friend commented that it didn't have much taste, I agreed but didn't mention it. My husband and his wife had a different dish and said their's was ok. When the manager came over and asked how everything was I did, reluctantly, tell the truth and say that it was barely warm and had no flavour. He just said "next time". We finished our meal and got the bill. It came to £94, we asked the waiter to take £50 from both our cards. When my friend took her receipt she didn't check it and then my husband went to put in his pin number and noticed that the waiter had tapped in £51! My husband said we said for you to take £50, upon looking at her receipt my friend had the same thing, they had taken themselves another £2 tip. May not seem much but it mounts up on everybody's bill. I looked at the receipts and he had put £43 plus £8 tip!!! When we asked why he did that another waiter came over and said he didn't understand and then said he made a mistake with the keypad, I pointed out that this couldn't have happened as the zero and the one are nowhere near eachother. They made their excuses and ignored us. I would say with the amount of Indian restaurants we have to choose from I wouldn't choose this one for both of those reasons.

We visited Juboraj Indian in Brentwood last Saturday. The food in general is pretty good and has an extensive menu but we were so rushed that evening, in the end it really spoilt it for us both. I'm not usually one to leave reviews on websites but felt very strongly about this one. When I asked for a 2nd glass of wine, I asked for a smaller one and was givven a large, so I sent it back and all in all I think the meal lasted about 50 minutes, for poppadums, a starter and main course!! They wasn't very busy either so they weren't waiting for our table. There were only 3 other tables taken and they did not appear to be rushed (although they had ordered a bottle of wine compared to a glass for me, husband was drinking beer)so maybe that was the case. In the end I was so irritated by the service, we ate our meal and left. I doubt if I would return again.

Very welcoming staff who have been working in restaurant for many years, they always remember a face and make you feel welcome. Food lovely and very good value for money.

Juboraj Tandoori Restaurant has excellent food with delicate flavours.Great staff who did not pester us and were very polite.Good value for money.Menu has a wide selection and variety.Very clean crockery, glasses and tablecloths.

Highly recommended. Although this restaurant was very busy on Saturday evening, our booked table had been kept for us. The atmosphere was great and staff made sure we were well looked after without pestering us. The food was excellent with some very delicate flavours. We were so full we didn't cook a Sunday lunch the next day!

Juboraj Tandoori Restaurant has really nice food, a good atmosphere, great service, a good selection of booze/and probly drinks and friendly staff that are always up for a laugh. Highly recommended!!
