Shafique Bengal Blues Café, Writtle

Went there for the. First time last night Monday August 24th with 3 others.

The Restaurant was Empty except for us.

The Gentleman that Served us was Excellent and could not do enough for us and was very Pleasant.

The Food was very good, and what was left was packaged up for us to take Away.

Good Value for money, only Problem the Credit Card Machine would not Work, so we just about had enough cash to pay the the Bill !!

I firstly checked the toilets for cleanliness and it was dirty (what does that say about hygiene?) The food was tepid. The tikka masala was extremely sweet. The rice was served on a tiny plastic camping saucer and megre for £3.95. In all, a disappointing first date. Needless to say, we will not return to the Shafique Bengal Blues Caf.

We used to frequent this restaurant, Shafique Bengal Blues Cafe. Quality of food was always good & found the buffet meals very good and reasonably priced. recently they put the price up by £5 and included a starter & a popadom that we didn't think worth the money. so we now go elsewhere to dine out.

Shafique Bengal Blues Caf - Nice food although money was pushed to the limit. Drinks were nice and well-priced.

The Shafique Bengal Blues Caf is in a good location, nice ambiance.

Buffet good for those wanting to try different food

Good value before 7:30 mid-week.

Lately a lot of the food has become quite bland.
