Wo Fat, Loughton

This is our local restaurant and we often use to get take aways from this restaurant. WE have not been there for nearly 9-12 months.

In a recent visit, I did not enjoy the experience at all, Service was bad, TASTE of food has completely changed. It was very bland - did not taste like chinese food. threw away most of it. Seems like management has changed and Chef definately must have changed. Sorry but did not enjoy!

we have eaten in this restaurant since we have lived in loughton over 20 years and have never had a bad meal. the staff are welcoming and can't do enough for you. i would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

After going for the lasst 10 years i have to report that Wo's has deteriorated considerably, the take away service is now awful to top it off, having waited 1.5 hours for our last ordered meal...never again

The reasons behind the fall in standards are due to the fact the previous owner, who was excellent, managed to lose the restaurant gambling. Obviously he did look the a gift horse in the mouth!! and the new owners are pants

Very sad and now on the hunt for another local Chinese that will offer the old Wo Fat standards !!

I have been coming here now with my family, for it must be 28 years. It has always been the best in Loughton. The food is always excellent, and the service is beyond perfect. If you go on a Sundays its 25% of your bill, the same on Mondays before 8pm I believe. Try the sparking wine with your meal, goes down treat..

Wo fat is the best chinese in Loughton, and perhaps locally apart from the Mandarin Palace in Gants Hill which is miles ahead but comes with the slight extra cost. The food at Wo fat is of a good quality with portions to match. The staff as always very friendly and they always look after the customer, with a free nightcap to finish off the meal. Also on weekends they tends to be alot of birthdays so it has a buzzy atmosphere. Definately worth a try!

I have eaten Chinese food in many restaurants worldwide but Wo-Fat in Loughton is never beaten. I have lived in London all my life so the choice of restaurants locally are many but a couple of times a month we just have to go and enjoy the food and atmosphere of this great establishment. We also celebrate Birthday's and Anniversary's (even Christmas Eve one year!) here as they 'do it' so well - the staff really go out of their way to make it special. So amazing food, lively atmosphere and friendly staff - they truly deserve the busy business that they enjoy.

Wo Fat is the best Chinese food in Loughton hands down. Super service family run for many years I have been going for 26 years, clean and tidy very nice kind people who work very hard to please you. Discount days on Sunday 25% off and Mondays 6 to 8pm, book on these days as they do fill up fast. The only small down side is that the wine is priced high.

good food. The meal was superb. Good service with friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I enjoyed my evening there. The manager was friendly and took time to speak to the customers. They gave us a complimentary drink at the end of the meal.

I will definitely eat there again. It was a pleasant experience and to be able to eat in a clean warm and relaxed atmosphere was a pleasure.
