Poor Customer Service

I booked a return flight from Manila to Tampa with Cheap Tickets via Kayak.com in March of 2019. I found a pretty good price for a two-stop flight each way with Asiana Airlines from South Korea and Jetblue Airways in the USA. The tickets were bought about five weeks before departure but at four weeks or so before departure Asiana Air made a small schedule change of 45 minutes from Seoul to JFK. What followed was a whole week of unnecessary incompetence concerning my trip from Cheap Tickets' customer service.

All that needed to be said was that JetBlue wanted a minimum of 2 hours 30 mins to take responsibility for international transfers from sister airlines like Asiana Air but Cheap Tickets started calling and telling me that I had to cancel my trip and rebook. My layover was reduced from 2 hours 54 mins to 2 hours and 9 mins because of Asiana’s small schedule change.

I actually had three options for this common situation that any literate travel agent should have seen straight away: 1) Accept the change and take responsibility for a missed connection at JFK. 2) Take a later Jetblue flight from JFK with its longer layover or 3) Cancel the tickets and get a refund.

I was told by several customer service representatives via email and on the phone that option number 3 was the only option for six straight days. I refused to believe that was true and refused to cancel my trip. Rebooking at that time would have increased my total travel time and cost me about 25% more on tickets. The agents at Cheap Tickets clearly do not understand their job.

It took a week of daily phone calls and emails to get to a point that I would have expected on day one. The emails I received had grammar errors, generic cut and paste verbiage that did not apply to my situation, and incorrect information. Even the supervisors at Cheap Tickets don't seem to understand their job at a basic level. If I would have listened to the advice in the emails or the information I was getting over the phone, I would have canceled my trip and because I couldn’t afford the new prices, I would have missed an important medical appointment. I will never use this company again.

Two Terrible Experiences Within Two Months

Well I have had two terrible experiences with your company within 60 days. Just this weekend I used CheapTickets.com. Upon arrival the information they had on file stated I used Expedia. I tried to give them my confirmation number and their comment was “That Number has nothing to do with us”! Now this was a Holiday Inn, that advertises “Free Breakfast”. The next morning when we went downstairs they had the audacity to say “Customers who use Expedia do not receive free breakfast”. I am done. I again tried to show them my CheapTickets confirmation information. At that point they were out right rude. When I initially checked in I told them I had a coupon. Their response was “You need to speak to Expedia about that”. They charged me for breakfast. At this point I am going to place a terrible review for your company every where I can. There is no excuse for the level of service I have received from your company. After the last bad experience I tried to give your company a second chance. This most recent incident was worse than the previous one. I am a senior partner with a large national company. I will inform everyone I know to not choose your company.

Taylor Swift Tickets

In May I ordered three tickets from cheaptickets.com and after reading the reviews I was literally freaking out. I didn't get an email confirmation and was very concerned I was scammed. I asked my husband to dispute the charge as this was not going to end well. He did not and I am grateful as everything worked out perfectly. Three weeks before the concert I got an email on how to print or use my phone to get into the venue. My husband teased me that we won't know until we were actually in our seats but it worked out great! We had the seats we paid for and it was easy to show my phone code and get in. No complaints here about cheaptickets.com, I got my tickets no problem.

Cheaters - Avoid At All Cost

Cheaters : avoid at all cost - lost 70k+

Booked international return tickets : first flight was cancelled and moved to another airport resulting in 4:30h delay - Could'nt get international connection with another airline (same agent).

Blocked in the airport, both Airlines deny redpondability and forward to agent cheapticket.in : Agent doesn't want to do anything and even the worst hold unusable return ticket while refusing to reschedule flight.

50k lost in ticket and another full journey to rebook at heavy rate for last moment (70k+).

3 days expenditures to stay in unknown city while waiting for other flight (obviously other agent).

The Worst!

Cheap Tickets was cheap but it also came with the worst customer service I have ever seen. I would not recommend using them EVER again. It was an overall terrible experience. One is better off making the booking with the airline direct.

Complete Ripoff Don't

I made the mistake to believe Cheap tickets when they quoted they offered better deals if you purchased more through them with travel expenses. I got a rental car from them and they quoted $274.07 due at pick up. The end result was being charged from their car company called Sixt $605.55. I was charged $200. with no explanation really for what for. I had my own car insurance with 2 companies and never asked for theirs. This company never answered 2 e-mail requests asking about charges. They are a complete rip off company. I will never use them or their car company again.

Highly Recommend To Not Use Them!!!!!

I booked my flight more than a month in advance with cheaptickets and when my husband arrives to depart he was informed that his flight was changed to leave 3 hours earlier, which we were never notified!!! I immediately called to ask what was happening. To make a long story short I waited 1 hour and 46 minutes on the line, being transferred multiple times, just so that they can tell me from Corporate that the have in their records that an email was sent to me to notify me of the change. Which I told them that due to work I check my email everyday, all day, throughout the day and I DID NOT receive an email from them. Basically it was my word against theirs and the person from corporate made that very clear to me. After being on the phone with them exactly 2 hours and not getting anywhere with them the call was "dropped" and no one returned my call even though I verified my number with them multiple times! I called back and it has now been 4 hours later and I am still on the phone on hold because they are trying to charge me $900.00+ to get my husband to his final destination which I already paid $600.00 for the original ticket. Long story short my flight was changed without anyone notifying me and cheaptickets and NOT taking responsibility for this. They are still trying to charge me more than $900.00 for my husband to have to spend the night at the airport and for a ticket I already paid for months in advance. You make the judgment as to if this is how a customer is supposed to treat a customer!

Cheap Tickets Concert

I contacted Cheap Tickets for concert tickets to see Chris Stapleton in San Antonio , TX on October 20, 2017. This was over 5 months in advance. I had placed the order and then another page popped up that showed $50.40 service fee then a charge of $7.95 to send them to my email address. None of this showed up when I placed my order for 2 tickets at $105 each. They did show a $7.95 fee if you had them send out what I assumed for hard tickets. Evidently they never panned to send out the hard tickets but planned on me downloading them the day before the event. When I asked for my money back I was given the total run around game both from agent and then from her supervisor. They said I could not get my money back and if I wanted to check out the charges I could send another ?bogus charge for tickets (however with correct information) to their website to see where they identified these extra charges were. This is crazy they had not even finalized my order when I asked for a refund (hadn't hit my bank only showed charges pending). I asked my bank to cancel this charge, which they will do once the charge is not pending. This is crazy for this to happen and not show all the add on's before you purchase something. I would NEVER refer any of my friends or family to these people. Also you can not print the receipt for this. Somehow it is blocked from printing. I copied everything and then went to Microsoft and pasted it into a document. I have to admit I was fooled. I always check the pages for any and all add on's or additional charges but this site does not show them until you are done. Nasty people to deal with. I really wanted to see Chris Stapleton but not this way with a bad taste in your mouth for the ticket providers.

The Worst.

Bought a plane ticket and Insurance (Vacation waiver)through Cheap tickets . The flight was cancelled and had to buy a ticket from another airline at the airport. Cheap tickets did not refund the money paid for the other airline ticket even though I had Insurance. Definitely would never recommend this agency.

Never Use Cheaptickets For Airline Tickets

I booked a flight a few days ago and had to cancel my reservation. I purchased flight insurance just for this reason and also when you purchase the tickets it states free 24 hr cancellation fee. Well to someone that has never had to cancel a reservation for a flight it looks like the same one the hotels use where you can cancel your reservation 24hrs before the stay. Well, I just learned the hard way that its 24 hrs cancellation after you made the reservation. Who is going to cancel a reservation within 24hrs after making it? They are misleading the consumer into thinking you have 24hrs before the flight takes off. Well, I also bought flight insurance and alot of good it does me. The insurance has specific reasons when they will refund the cost of the ticket like, death in the family or sickness and they will want documentation that you will need to file with a 3rd party insurance company. Never again will I ever use a 3rd party company to purchase tickets!!! Never use Cheaptickets.com for anything. I cancelled my reservation 12 days before the flight takes off so they have plenty of time to rebook the seat. Even better news if I decide that i need to change the date they charge a $300 rebooking fee and the original ticket cost me $400 for it was going to cost $700 for the ticket if I rebooked it. Never Never Never again will I use Cheaptickets.com!!!!!
