The Old Vienna Restaurant, Leigh-on-Sea

We are currently at the Old Vienna Restaurant having a great party night. 12 of us have had a great meal, all hot, and we sat down at 7 desserts served at 7.30 & mains at 8.15 just finished coffee and desserts. Despite reading all the bad reviews we carried on with our booking as I have eaten here many times over the last 20 years and never had a bad meal. Xmas decorations were up and crackers on the table. The staff were very polite and the oompa band kept the evening lively. Please do not believe all you read and give this restaurant a try.

This was probably one of my worse experiences I have had at a resturent. Very bad service, very bad food and the resturant itselfs is a throwback from the 1940s. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Took my aunt for a meal sat4/09/2010 food quality poor Iwas going to eat from the al,carte but went for the set menu scallops under cooked where replaced ,sirloin steak was cut off a striploin poorley cooked and full of grisle. Waiting staff good not their fault but please replace the chef.

the Old Vienna Restaurant - Superb choice of venue to dine out locally. An enticing variety of dishes to choose from; generous servings and cooked just right! Entertainment lends authentic Austrian atmosphere to the proceedings. Overall, a reasonably priced meal and a great night out. Would definitely recommend to friends as we were made to feel genuinely welcome.

I had occasion to dine at the Old Vienna on Saturday 25th July 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed myself, soaking up the atmosphere and the delicious (and generous) fayre. I did notice that there was a group of women enjoying a Hen Party, but they behaved themselves and caused no offence to anyone else. I don't know whether your reviewer was actually present on that night or are they trying to discredit a very good local restaurant. I definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

The Old Vienna - Great fun. With excellent food (and plenty of it) and great entertainment. The food was to die for and the staff were friendly and polite and very efficient. The entertainment was excellent, not only with non in vasive music in the background whilst you eat but a great sing along for all ages, and the gentleman in shorts (great legs!!) was witty and entertaining, including everyone not just the dolly birds! After that there was a disco with music that you could really dance too. What more can you ask!!!

A bit expensive but worth it. Would consider it for Christmas or for a party as long as the price doesn't change too much.

Fun for all irrespective of age.The restaraunt offers something for everyone. A quieter night in the Old Vienna or a livelier night in the Emproer suite if you want.

Been before a few times and dependent on the occasion have been in both restaraunts. Never been disappointed.

Great night on Saturday 25 July sharing celebrations with what must have been over 85 other folks out with birthdays ,wedding anniversaries and a hen party celebrations.

A great place to go which ticks all the boxes for a fun, safe night out with a certain amount of refinement and no drunken lads or laddetes to contend with,just people enjoying themselves in a party atmosphere.

Keep it going, a great venue for a good night out.

we had a fantasic night at the old vienna, food good, service secon to none, helpfull, polite but professional. the om pah pah band was entertaining, 2nd half with the sing along sheets, great fun. disco just finished it well. will be back. thanks to all the staff at the old vienna for making our night great.....

The Old Vienna Restaurant - had great times in the 80's with the Ompah stuff which I previously hated.

Was there on a Thursday night recently and enjoyed the whole thing - food and service, would recommend (and have) am planning to return soon, thanks.
