Buon Amici, St Albans

Had a meal on the 28th January. The main course was excellent and service good but the sweets (which were very mediocre and tasted mass produced) were overpriced and a mandatory service charge of 12.5% was added when there was no mention of this on the menu. We used to go to Buan Amici when it was based in its former location and the sweets at that time were delicious and the wine more sensibly priced

Buon Amici. Our evening was blighted by the presence of a large party. We felt almost ignored upon the arrival of this party. The initial welcome was very good, but the service became unacceptably inattentive as the evening developed. We waited forty minutes between our starters being cleared away and the arrival of our main course. After our main course was cleared away we were completey ignored. No deserts or coffees were offered, we asked for the bill and twenty minutes later had still not received it.

We appreciate that the presence of a large party puts pressure on staff but it should not be at the expense of other diners. We were not the only people to experience this.

We used to eat regularly at Kamillo's old Buon Amici,the new Buon Amici is even better.Excellent service,outstanding food and fairly priced.You get what you pay for,quality.We went there for my wife's birthday,our wedding anniversary and I am taking 30 people for a xmas lunch later this month.If you want romance,book the table with the view overlooking the cathedral.As always Kamillo is a fabulous host,congratulations Kamillo,once again you have the number one restaurant in St Albans.I would recommend this restaurant to everybody.Graeme and Bronwen.

This restaraunt is an unforgettable experience.it suits any season,any familly,any parties,its atmospheres suit everything.No wonder its rewarded best restaraunt in St.albans. if you have kids the service is great with everyone and the choice is good for adults kids and even vegetarians! the food is quality and the price is fine. I RECOMENEND IT TO EVERYONE!

best restaraunt in my life i go there so much and im never tired of it.

Buon Amici - This is by far some of the best Italian food I've tasted, and I'm Italian! Of course the service is good but not as good since the last manager died recently of cancer. He brought the whole place alive.

But I definitely recommend it.
