Had A Logitech Trackman Wheel For Over 6 Years No
Had a Logitech TrackMan Wheel for over 6 years now. has never broke, occasionally the sensors require cleaning (takes seconds with minimal effort).
If you have a computer (or even a laptop) this is an essential bit of kit. You will not regret it. I cannot see why these have not made the conventional mouse obsolete. I guess the price puts some people off. But if you use your computer reguarly then whats £30- £40 over several years for one of (if not the) most used piece equipment in the modern home?

Been Using This Logitech Trackman Wheel For A Few
Been using this Logitech TrackMan Wheel for a few months now, takes a bit of getting used to and I really like it. Nice and comfortable in your hand, Small Footprint and no elbow/wrist movement means less chance of RSI. Is a bit of a change from a standard mouse if you're not used to a trackball, but worth the effort.

Overall A Good Piece Of Equip. I Use It For Gaming
Overall a good piece of equip. I use it for gaming and have had some decent success with it, DPI is hard to determine and not easily found. Don't know if it can be increased? However saves from getting mouse pad burns on the wrist, well recommend Logitech TrackMan Wheel.

It Has A Better Ergonomic Design And Is Easier To
It has a better ergonomic design and is easier to use than a normal mouse. It is ideal for laptops and does not need a flat surface.
Some versions freeze and require the mouse ball be lifted from the sensor (tuning the mouse upside works) to "unfreeze" it. Logitech provides free replacement if still under warranty.

The Logitech Trackman Wheel Is An Entirely Optical
The Logitech TrackMan Wheel is an entirely optical trackball (i.e. no mechanical parts), with the exception of it's scroll wheel, possibly. The ball itself is operated by the thumb of your right hand (it is not suitable for left handed use at all). It has two buttons and a scrolling wheel, much like a mouse and these are operated with your fingers. I've found it reasonably comfortable in use (although Microsoft's similiar "Trackball Optical" seemed better suited to my hand size - fairly big, blokey hands). I would expect children or more dainty handed ladies would find it fitted their hand perfectly. The ball itself almost never needs cleaning (which is dead easy anyway) and runs extremely smoothly. Micorosoft's device in contrast needs cleaning frequently and is rarely smooth in operation.
All in all this is a well made piece of kit that fulfills it's function well. Mouse users should consider moving to a trackball to keep fully functioning hands and wrists, and this wouldn't be a bad start for most. Big handed or left handed folk may do better with Logitech's Marble Mouse which is also excellent.
