Corfu Nightmare Airport
Airport itself is just another airport however, two things happened that will make me never return.
First was passport control. Three young women in the booth I approached. Passport was snatched out of my hand. Bit rude but whatever. She then started talking to her buddies in greek and I heard 'anklikos malaka'. I told her I understood what she said and she nearly fainted. Told her how RUDE she is and the three of them sat there with their mouths gaping.
Second, a lady had dropped scalding coffee on her leg. We asked for a first aider only to be told there aren't any and that we could call a dr but meh, who knows when they might turn up.
Absolutely appalling.

Not Fit For Purpose
When we arrived we got through customs but had to wait nearly an hour for our bags. When we returned to leave we was dropped off by our coach and was greeted with our tui rep. We was told to join the line which went down the outside of the building. Blazing sun, no shade. The staff came with water. It took near on 30 minutes to get into the airport to cue to check in. When we got through with 30 mins spare ans the board said gate 2. It then went off and didn't come back on for ages. Knowing we are now late it came on to say we were at gate 1. Still waited forever with no staff to explain what is going on. Eventually we were now 30 mins late they started to load the plane. Pilot said we were running slightly late and we were now ready to take off. 15 minutes later the doors opened again for 2 passengers to get on. Pilot said the bus shuttle had delivered these to a Stansted airplane. We now had to wait for another slot to take off. Ridiculous. THIS AIRPORT IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. The manager should be sacked.
We were at this airport 30 years ago. No improvement whatsoever has been done. Disgusting. Won't return.

Hijabi’s Targeted By Security And Treated With Hostility
I am disgusted by the hostile treatment by the security staff on my journey home from a wonderful holiday. My two hijabi (female Muslim) companions were stared at and targeted while in security line unlike other people in line for security checks and were singled out by security for an abrupt attack they said was a pat down of their head scarfs. The women without warning grabbed their heads roughly with poor communication as to why. She gripped and tugged on one of my companions bun beneath her head scarf. She then proceeded to swab their head scarf still not explaining what was happening and rudely told us to wait as she checked the swabs. They were the only hijabi’s in the airport and were clearly singled out because of it. I understand security measures but this was blatant discrimination and prejudice from staff who still didn’t off up an explanation as to what was happening when asked and told us to leave when the tests came back negative. This it ruined our trip.

The Airport From Hell
Returning home from Corfu airport on Thursday morning 20th June 2019 was a truly terrible experience from beginning to end! The queues were ENORMOUS, we were lucky enough to be inside the building but others not so fortunate. 3 queues were allotted to our Tui flight but only one operater checking everyone in for a long time until another assistant came. It took us and hour and a half to move 12 feet in that queue and another three quarters of an hour in security line. Corfu is beautiful but won't return due to the shambolic airport.
and the luggage belt broke down every 5 minutes!

Chaos
My family and I had the misfortune to travel back to the UK on the morning of Monday 20th May. What a shambles. Departing passengers were in a queue stretching out of the terminal building. Inside it was pandemonium, no control, people joining any part of a queue. All passengers had to check in on three desks. Then we were informed that the computer system had broken down. After about a half an hour were told it was now working. My flight to Cardiff was due out at 1220 but half the passengers had not been able to check in as other passengers on later flights had been allowed into the same queues. Apart from one person at each check in desk and a few ineffective TUI reps.there were no other officials on duty. It was only after repeatedly telling the said TUI staff to take a grip and ensure the delayed flight passengers were allowed to get to the front of the queues we would probably still be there as more passengers were being allowed to join the front, back and middle of the queues.

Absolutely Awful Airport
I flew in and out of Corfu Airport for the first time 25 years ago. It was awful then and is just as awful now. Travelled through in June 2018 and again September 2018. Calling it an International Airport is a joke considering it hasn't improved and moved forward with the times and the amount of travellers now passing through the airport has tripled. Hardly any facilities, crowded both in the check-in areas and when waiting at the Gates to open. People stand in long queues by the Gates as there are not enough seating areas. Queues blocking pathways. Flights are noted at one Gate and then half an hour later, changed to go to another Gate. As the Gates are all in the same very small area, queues everywhere. Passed through security to Passport Control. The lady on Passport Control was on her mobile and talking to her colleague in the next booth, didn't even look up at me when I stood there showing my passport and waiting for her to wave me on. Just sat there chatting to her colleague and waving her phone at him and laughing. Noticed I was STILL in front of her, tool a sideways glance at me and waved her hand in the air for me to go whilst still chatting her her colleague. Won't ever be in this airport again. Blood pressure can't take the stress

Clean And Efficient
My wife and I have been using this airport on holiday for 23 years and (from a very low base)it has improved year on year. Today, we flew home - busy Monday - but we experienced no queue at check in, same again to scan luggage and about 10 minutes to pass through the new multi lane security. Washrooms have been upgraded, terminal is clean and cool. Hint is to pass through security in to the departure lounge as late as you feel comfortable as it does get crowded with limited seating airside.

Cattle Comes To Mind
Checking in wasn't to bad and fairly smooth. But once your in and waiting to board, it's horrendous! Absolutely red hot to the point I could have passed out. Way to many people for what it can actually hold, no seats, took us one hour to pounce into a leaving passengers seat! Toilets disgusting, rubbish bins over flowing with food on the floors. Run down and dated airport. We're not coming back to Corfu anyway but the airport would definitely put us off from returning!

Stressfull!
Nothing to like about this airport. As others describe it is total chaos. Got the impression that staff were not interested and really spoiled the end of a lovely holiday. Sadly it is the only way to get to the lovely island of Corfu. The airlines really should invest in the airport if they continue to fly from there. The delays meant that we had no time for duty free or eating

A Filthy Disgrace
We were forced to wait for hours in the domestic departure lounge. No water in the vending machines. No information about our delay problem. Toilets filthy...my wife said no seat or soap in the ladies and the gents floor covered with soiled paper...at 6.30am. Greece and Corfu should hang their governmental heads in shame
