I had a really positive experience dealing with Barons Auctioneers recently. They sold my 1998 Porsche Boxster at Sandown Park. It was such a pleasurable experience dealing with three people, and one was especially helpful, responding to any queries I had in the lead up to the sale. I have no hesitation in promoting their excellent service.

Absolutely useless company to deal with i have purchased many cars from many auctions in the past and never had any problems until I attended barrons very misleading descriptions there was cars with new mot's that clearly weren't legal ones the after sales service can only be described as being run by a load of toddlers learning how to count please do your self's a favour and go to a properly run company and maybe pay a slightly higher fee rather than dealing with thease muppets

I bought a Porsche 924S from Barons Classic Car Auctions early in 2011. On inspection day I was a little cautious about spending my hard earned cash so asked one of the Directors for advice; He could not recommend the car more & revealed he had worked on it prior to sale. All it needed was a new back box to the exhaust and it would happily 'get me to Scotland and back'! On picking the car up this turned out to be a complete lie. It would not go into gear and needed a new clutch, over heated, the power steering did not work and it needed a complete new exhaust not just a back box. On further enquiry this Director buys and sells cars and has his own garage which explains how he came to know this car but not why he completely misled me. Being over £2000 down I can't tell you how angry I am and they describe themselves as professional!

I am amazed that it has taken Barons-Auctions.com over 6 years to fully establish themselves. When one considers that this company charges less than half the fees of people like Bonhams and Christies and also pay you in only 8 days. Some of the larger houses can take up to 90 days to pay. One particular auction house is known to have failed to pay out £1.7 million but they are still trading. Barons is as good and probably better than most of the competition. Barons are less expensive than most of the competition. Barons puts clients money into a client account and always have done. In short, this company deserves to be at the top of the tree and I do not think it will be long before they get there, despite the snob culture in the UK. Even rich people get fed up with being ripped off and that is what some other auction companies are doing.
