Amazing Accommodation With Lovely Views
We don’t normally leave reviews but we feel compelled to leave this one.
When we arrived late at our caravan we were in good spirits, this was quickly dashed when we found there was no heating or hot water.
The next morning we rang reception who told us that there would be someone there within the hour, a plumber arrived within half an hour but was unable to fix the boiler straight away.
Reception rang us and immediately offered us a free upgrade, which I have to say was absolutely fantastic it turned our holiday around from a disaster to an absolute pleasure.
Thank you blue dolphin who looked after us, going above and beyond to help us. Well done Haven in rescuing our holiday :-)

Amazing Caravan Fantastic Site
We stayed in a caravan which was perfect at Blue Dolphin Filey. It is big enough
for families or a couple. Well behaved dogs are allowed. That person provides cleaning products tea and coffee. Her prices are excellent. The caravan is located on Hill Top which is perfect for getting to where you can have lovely walks along the cliffs or you have a short walk into the sites main attractions, there are plenty of choices for food, Papa Johns, Burger King, the restaurant and bars we ate here the food was good and dogs are allowed in this area. There is another bar near the boating lake which was nice family friendly and dogs too. There is lots to do on the site its very good for everyone. Everything is clean and the grassed area is kept short. I would definitely recommend his caravan for somewhere to stay it's in a perfect pitch, very peaceful and relaxing. The van itself is beautiful inside, plenty of space two bathrooms! We came home after a long weekend, the sun shone each day, totally chilled out. We both agreed that we need to do this more often. Thank you, We had a perfect few days. Can't wait to go again.

Very Disappointed In The Accommodation
We have visited most of the Haven sites over Great Britain on your touring sites and but this last one was in a static caravan .
First impression looked very nice until my Daughter went into the Main bedroom there was a smell of damp so disgusting you couldn't stay in the room,
In the kitchen area, we found a dead moth underneath the dinning table also down the settees a number of peices of rubbish which should have been checked by the housekeeping staff, there was also a dirty sock and dirt and grim round both the table and door handles we are very disappointed with the lack of empathy from the bosses I contacted and received something more than just sorry , there was also the report of the outside light not working which was still not corrected when we left , very disappointing

Brigg House Restaurant
We booked a table for two, we then ordered 2 starters, 2 main course with a bottle of wine and 1 beer.
The bill came to £73.00, the food was cold, we had to ask and get our own cutlery.
The second drink didn't arrive, we asked the staff for 30 mins meal times.... be main meal came within 10 mins after asking 2 staff the 30mins waiting time.
The food came out quicker than the drinks as the staff forgot the second beer.
My wife queed in the bar for my second drink, when she got back the meal was even colder... we complained to the staff, my wife got her meal replaced and her chips.
The gave us our £3.00 back in which we left it on the table, my wife didn't enjoy her main and left it.
Value for money ... NOT !
Good Service ... NOT !
Recommend to friends .. Absolutely NOT !
This place is ran by young adults and this place is just here ripping people off and making as much money as it can !
Brighouse Restaurant
Shocking service all round completely disinterested staff not even busy,
About 12 people in when we arrived poss hold 200 waited ages to be seated, sit here guys” three chairs 4 people, food half comes no cutlery, then a main course missed off our order 15 mins later I cancelled it, again disinterested , and shaking heads
Just don’t waste your time and money, not the cheapest which you sort of expect but god knows how bad it would be if they were busy
Whilst sat down we watched others stood waiting to be seated for a good while even though there were as many staff as customers

Brighouse Bar And Restaurant
Caravan at resort was excellent however the food at this restaurant was expensive and mostly inedible, manager was not interested in discussing my complaint, feel like I just threw away £46. Mash potato was green and fish was grey yuk, never again!

Very Good Value & Service & Disabled Friendly
We've just got home after two weeks on the touring caravan site, we had a lovely time all round, we stayed on a euro pitch which was very clean, the only problem we had is that the TV Ariel was broken.
The couple who looked after the disabled toilets were great, they always did a fantastic job, they were very friendly & helpful, they had to sort out difficult customers and there problems which they did fantastically, even though it wasn't problems they should have had to deal with.
The prices for the mash & barrel & food outlets was ridiculously high but the spar were similar to home.
All the staff wherever we went were very pleasant & helpful, & for a disabled person like myself that meant a lot.
Everywhere I went was disabled friendly which were great as a lot of places aren't.
I would definitely recommend the touring park to others, look out for the lovely couple who look after the toilets/showers they are great & deserve a medal for what they have to put up with.

Unclean, Unpleasant Campers
We stayed over the bank hol weekend in a touring caravan myself, husband, two boys age 6 & 4 also my daughter partner and my grandchildren age 3 and 18mths.(my sister and partner were to join us later that day in a tent on the next pitch) when we arrived at our pitch it was muddy and litter in the bushes,my grandson only 18mth did cry hear and there as toddlers do, to which people in a tent in front of us only to shout loud abuse at him whist hiding in their tent! we didnt want to report this due to not wanting any trouble from them. when my sister arrived late afternoon had to ring reception because there was some one still on their allocated pitch which was very inconvenient to have to get someone removed.
As for the site itself the rubbish bins were overflowing hence litter scattered about and the pitches very poorly marked out we had two families saying they was on our pitch 76 (they were on 76'A were ever that was??)also the toilets in the entertainment area were smelly, didn't flush properly poo still floating around when people have used the loo! never any hand wash and the dryers didn't work. Food in the mash and barrel was basic and the coffee awful music very loud for a restaurant couldn't hear your self think. staff were polite though so that was a little positive I suppose. staff can only work with what they have got. The onsite chippy closed very early when kiddies entertainment finished thought we would get them some tea maybe not,so had to do food shop at the spar and cook hence very hungry tired children by the time this was done. Will not be returning to Haven anytime soon to say the least.

Fellow Campers - A Bit Of Consideration Please!
The site is in a good location and the grounds are well kept. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful.
This was my first stay at the Blue Dolphin but I wouldn't go back to stay.
The site was clean, but there was definitely a lack of refuse bins. Despite the bins being emptied daily, there was always rubbish lying around the bin areas due to the seagulls pulling at the black bags and emptying them over the surrounding areas. More bins would help.
The water temperature in the showers fluctuated from scalding to freezing and there was always a queue for the showers. The water spurted everywhere and soaked dry clothes hanging in the "dry" area of the shower cubicle. The dirty water didn't drain away as the floor wasn't sloped enough. Every time you went into the cubicle you had to step into dirty water left by the previous person.
The sinks in the washing up area were left filthy by the guests staying on the site, which meant you had to clean the sink before placing your bowl of dishes into it.
As regards to the entertainment, I did enjoy this. The only thing that put me off going was having to walk through the arcade. The drinks were incredibly expensive (I was £9.00 for a pint of larger and small glass of white wine).
The pitches for the tent area not defined, so you pitch your tent where you like. This caused a problem for us when someone set up their tent immediately opposite our tent and left no room for our vehicle. If there were defined pitches there would be no inconvenience to fellow campers and everyone would know where they were supposed to be.
Q&A
Hhow easy is it to move pitcher but stay on the same site?
