Be Very Careful
I PURCHASED 2 INSURANCE POLICIES FROM PHONES 4 U, ONE OF THE PHONES HAS A FAULT WHAT DO I DO, I HAVE SENT TEXTS AND SENT LETTERS BUT NOTHING. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE ADMINISTRATORS ARE NOT DEALING WITH THESE PROBLEMS, OR ARE THEY JUST TAKING THE MONEY EACH MONTH FOR NOTHING?

Rude Staff, No Sense Of Urgency
I'm supposed to have the cover which allows me to switch my broken phone in store. When I went to use it, I found there was an issue with the set up of the policy. A week later, I am still waiting for them to obtain a call recording to verify that I had requested it. There is no sense of urgency to resolve this and they have been rude and obstructive on the phone, completely lacking in empathy. I'm paying an expensive contract for a phone I can't use and they seem to think I should just shut up and wait indefinitely and can't understand why I am so appalled. I have no confidence in them finding the call or treating me fairly if they do. They are unprofessional and unreliable and I will never use them or Phones 4 U again.

Disgraceful Company With No Customer Care Or Values
Having taken insurance with phones 4 u my phone broke (manufacturer fault) (I was told when buying insurance from jerome in the Ipswich town store, if there's a fault down to the manufacturer to take my phone into store and it would be replaced on the day) having taken my phone in I was refused a new phone and told to do a factory reset and go home for 24-48hrs, not the way it was sold to me. I argued with them in store and with the insurance department on the phone which made no difference. This happened twice! The second time, after going home for the required amount of time, I was told my phone had been discontinued so they offered me a different make and model only to be given the phone and the phone alone! I couldn't even turn it on as they wouldn't give a charger! The insurance was mis sold as they refused to do as I was told they would and change the phone on the day. I put in a complaint only to be told there was nothing wrong with the way it was sold to me so I furthered the complaint on more. After arguing my point for the last 2 weeks through emails I've been offered £15 to buy a charger. I've woken up this morning and looked at my bank only to find out my insurance has now been put up without being told!!! I wish I had looked through the reviews before I went to this horrible company, the customer service is terrible and they must be trained to lie to their customers as that's all I've got off them is lies! I will be getting in touch with the financial ombudsman and cab as your insurance company have been fined £2.8 million for the same thing already. Your company moto should be, Treat others how u would like to be treated yourself. I just hope that by writing this review I will save somebody from using your company and being bitterly disappointed like I was!

I bought the s4 in may,they advised me to get insurance for damage which was for 3.99 a month. I had a phone call from phones 4 u advising me to get insurance for lost and stolen, which would cost 7.99 a month. I thought if I got that then if something went wrong, I would have no problems....HOW WRONG WAS I
I took my phone into currys where I bought my phone,as I had dropped my phone down the stairs. She said she would phone customer services, who told me I would have to send my phone to them for repair,NO FREE POST BAG
I will send it away and after reading the other reviews,,,, I WILL GET DOWN ON MY KNEES AND PRAY It wont take long to come back, forgot to say have to pay 50 pound too.
They better not come back and say it has water damage.

Dont understand why you pay insurance but still need to pay 50 pound gor repair . Insurance for what reason wish some stupid employee can answer that instead of her/ he saying u can phne custmer services . Always the excuse.
As with all insurance you pay an excess for damage. Lets see you write off your car and get a new one for free from the insurance company

Beware Phones 4u Insurance
I've just claimed for losing Iphone 4S from this company. It was a terrible service. I had to pay £100 to claim. After two weeks, I got a replacement phone which was a refurbished Iphone and its battery could not be charged. Then I sent it back for the new one. After other two weeks of waiting, there wasn't any reply except one automatic answer email informed the company received the phone back. I called the customer service and they told me that I would be offered £333 for buying the new phone. In fact, £100 was my money. They offered this amount because they search the price on Amazon!!! I've paid for the insurance £12 a month more than one year and they offer £233 to buy a new Iphone 4s. I asked for other option and I was told that if I do not accept this offer, I had to wait and call them again and again until they have an available refurbished phone!!!!!Shall I cancel this insurance??????

This is NOT customer service, Its a money making scheme! After spending a stupid ammount of money on a contract and then buying monthly insurance you'd expect to be taken care of by the provider. However the staff are rude and unsmypathetic to their loyal customers. For the same price i've spent on the insurance i could have bought two new phones to replace my stolen phone... my home and car insurance a both cheaper or around the same price and i get a hire car if mine breaks down! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Beware! They Dont Tell You Its Second Hand Replacement
I brought my phone from Phones 4 you and as I had with TALK Mobile previously took out an insurance policy. My son had his phone stolen from his bag within the 10 days of having the New PHone.
I phoned the Insurance Company, filled out the form on line, they then send it to you sign again, DELAYS, they then told me they only supplied back second hand phones and directed me to the small print i.e. something in the pamphlet they supply 10 DAYS after you have signed - this is supplied at the time of purchase!. I had no choice but to accept this.
Over Two weeks later after lots of calls we got a second hand phone, this was American, could not be changed to English. It did not work, and then had to send it back, they said they would send a bag for special delivery - they didn’t. I have resorted to a hand delivery with a POD as I honestly believe they would say they had not had the phone back.
No one in the phones 4 U shop told me there was second hand phone replacement policy - and I did ask if it was New for Old and they said yes.
I can’t speak for Talk Mobile, but my business use T-Mobile, a minor fault on the phone and got a brand new one the next day.
I would not go for this policy without reading every part of small and smaller print. Clarify everything with the store staff and even ask them to put what you have agreed on the form you sign to say they have told you everything and agreed to everything as they will do anything to sell you a phone, but the policy is the worst and is a waste of money.

On the Phones4u care insurance does anyone know when they changed the t&c on the fact they can give you a secondhand phone? how much notice do they have to give you?
