I Brought One Of These Five Years Ago. I Use 1210s
I brought one of these five years ago. I use 1210s usually when playing out, but love the TT500 for its extra capabilities and very solid heavy construction. Just brought a second one to make the pair. Would definitely recommend!
What other deck can play 78rpm + 50% - backwards!!! (not that I would recommend it)

Brilliant Decks, Great Torque And Build Quality, A
Brilliant decks, great torque and build quality, amazing value. Had mine for about 3 years now and no complaints. Surprised more people don't use them.
Only downside is lack of a cover, so I transport them in the box they came in.

I've Had This Numark Tt500 Deck For 5 Months, I So
I've had this Numark TT500 deck for 5 months, I sold my Technics about a year or so ago (I had them for 10 years) and wanted another set of decks so I went off to the DJ equipment store to buy another set of technics but noticed the numark decks, and could belive how good they were every bit as good Technics and little cheaper, they have excellent startup respond better than Technics in the mix due to the excellent pitch control and motor. They are also very well built...these any nothing like previous Numark Turntables TT100 TT2s etc. So if your going to buy a set, these decks are definitely worth trying, before you the usual technics SL1200/1210 etc/PS don't bother with vestax/gemini turntables they're rubbish.

Numark - Tt500 Direct Drive Turntable Review:
NUMARK - TT500 Direct drive turntable review:
Identicle to the TTX1 but stronger motor and much cheaper.......(and none of the digital stuff...ha ha ha).
Who's going to use it.......c'mon realy....but this turn table is very close to the TTx1.
* the strongest motor you will get in a pitch control turn table
* 8, 10, 20 and 50 % pitch control
* adjustable start and stop speed
* electro magnet braking for super smooth stops and motor slow downs
* removable target lights
* comes with straight and S tone arms.(nice to have the option)
A good quality turn table which with the 8% pitch control I believe there is no reason why this wouldn't be better than Technics,
The TTX1 is great as well with all its digital features but I've found the digital pitch control which I might add is the only form of control is not as precise as the the TT500 with an anolouge control.
* The motor on the TTX1 is rated at 3Kg/cm
* The motor on the TT500 is rated at 5 Kg/cm
A lot stronger which generaly was the decider for me and of course about $450 cheaper a deck than the TTX1.
I hope I've lead someone toward a pair of these as they are first class,
Regards.....
I have owned four technique 1200 turntables. Why, because they were the best 20 years ago. Today I own NUMARK TTX. The reason is in my opinion they are now the best. First a simple lesson. The turntable continues to spin while the record is held equals enough torque. The best in the world used 1200s in the day and nobody was having torque issues. As for a digital display its simply a convenience feature as with all top models you get a few more options. I use it on occasion to check status. Keylock-on/off, Quart lock engaged, or rotation braking %. Some times you dont want a dead stop. But thats another issue. The TTX now has variable torque, but so what. It works great as is. If you compare yours to the TTX it sets it as a benchmark. Maybe next time just buy the TTX .Remember a Camary is not a Lexus even though they are both Toyota. Sincerely Patterson Stratton.
I agree totally allthough technics have 30 or so years proven record in their turntables the price of the sl range is very high and the design needs to be updated as the newmark has excellent features and is a very smooth and powerful deck to use and the look is great as well total value for money. Go get some you won't regret it.
