This Is My First Digital Camera. I Also Own A Stan
This is MY first digital camera. I also own a standard 35mm SLR film Olympus OM10 with lots of lenses, flash etc. While you can't beat the SLR for quality of images, the easy ability to focus on what you want, for day to day photography this little Sony CyberShot is my camera of choice. It's quick, light and portable.I have used a number of other compact digital cams from fuhi to HP as well a fuji finepix 9600 and a canon digital SLR. For me, this little camera is just fine!

Clearity sharpness and brightness is awesome. Image quality, grainless result with crisp details is the main thing i look up to the most. I have this camera for more than 4 years and i used it in big hall gatherings as well as for personal potraits. Is a super camera in such a low price range.
Its a wonderful camera for quick caming. It takes no time to give you a perfect shot. Bring it out of the case, switch it on, and Chikoooooon!
Done!

I have the P120 - just a black P100 with a case and a pointless spare battery - and wear it on my belt every day. It fires up in no time, takes a perfectly exposed shot (often concealed in my palm) and then disappears again. Absolutely ideal for candid / street / any photography. Not the ideal camera for low light shots. (I have a vastly inferior in daylight Fuji F30 for those.) I have used and own a whole shoe box of newer and older compact digitals but it is the Sony P120/100 that is the reliable workhorse. In fact I own 3 now. I don't care that 5.something megapixels is considered puny, it's the image that counts.

The Sony Cybershot Dsc-p100 Blew Me Away With Its
The Sony CyberShot DSC-P100 blew me away with its state of the art features all packed into this little box. It certainly packed a punch when the shots I took were displayed on the "big screen".
The colour and clarity of the images were second to none. Considering that this was a Carl Zeiss lens, I wasn't surprised at the quality of the images.
The battery life was surprisingly very good. When fully charged, you should be able to get about 200 minutes - and all it takes is a 2 hour charge to get it all pumped and ready.
I was quite taken aback at the brilliant quality of the macro function. The image subject stayed well in focus, capturing all the colours, whilst blurring the background well enough to create that macro effect.
The metal casing gives it a good sturdy feel, rather than those sub-priced compact cameras out there who feel very plasticky.
The rectangular shape could have been improved on, perhaps by sticking to the standard "square" shaped feel, but then again, that's just my opinion and nothing that actually impedes the superior performance of this little gem.
The LCD screen could have been made a bit larger (2"). The current 1.8" screen serves its purpose well, but can be occasionally strenuous on the old eyes. However it looks like SONY have incorporated the 2" LCD screen in their 7 megapixel version.
All in all, this is a brilliant camera for someone who is new to photography or even an experienced novice. If you're an amatuer or even a pro, this would be one of those cameras that you'd want as a second one to keep in your carry case. This little gem is definitely something worth adding to your list!

I bought the Sony CyberShot DSC-P100 camera, so far I have had no problems with it. When I bought it, it was presented well with a USB Cable, TV out Cable, 32mb memory stick, hand strap, battery, and an ac adapter.
