Value For Money

Useless Company

Have been with atlantic for the past 15 years. Over that time their service has deteriated rapidly especially this past 5 years. No more, I am in the process of moving to another provider. Unfortunately they have lost the meaning of customer service.

Not An Honest Company

At first, a lady came in carrying the LED 4ft light with her and happily said that she is from BGE and she is replacing all our light bulbs with LED. All nice and dandy, after spending half a day walking around our business and counting out all light bulbs she finally said that she is not from BGE but she is an electric supplier. Ok, so I was under impression that I get all the light switched and I was ok changing a supplier.

A few days later an inspector came in from the same company and waisted another few hours of my time, a few days later I get 32 lights when we counted over a hundred!!! Apparently, I missed the small print!

After installing the new LED lights in my office 4 light fixtures burned out completely and they will not do anything to fix it. And now I am trying to get out of the contract and they send me a bill, but it is not a cancelation bill it is a product invoice. I switched to another company and they said that they will cover the cancellation invoice (and they are much cheaper), Atlantic energy refusing me a regular cancellation invoice.

Experience Over About Ten Years

Never any problem. Communicate online, paperless bills. Recently had Smart Meter fitted, no problems with arranging fitting. Needed advice, prompt clear reply. Never had any worries.

Don't even consider signing a contract with this supplier. They misrepresent their intentions and refuse to comply with their contract. They only provide a fraction of the LED's and expect you to install them.

Run Away As Fast As You Can.

This is one of the worst supply companies you will ever find.They promise you they will say you money,then you look at your statement and its a whole different story.as far as trying to get in touch with them to help you with your bill,they ignore your phone calls.Bottom line stay as far away from this company.

Rude, Talk Over You, Aggressive, As A Landlord Do Not Use

Never had such a rude and obnoxious experience with a call centre. The operator threatened to put the phone down on me, and just talked over me and would not let me speak. What a load of agro and then insisted and sending me 2 bills, each for 81 pence - to be fair I would pay 100 times this just to never have to deal with these people again. No service ethic at all. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR SUPPLIER.

Used To Good - Now As Bad As The Worst!

Atlantic used to have clear pricing, customer rewards and excellent customer service. NOT ANYMORE.

Now they take whatever payments they like, when they like (even though we are in credit and have an "agreed" direct debit)with no notice.

Phones are always engaged, emails ignored and oh, no rewards plus only one (expensive) plan available.

Was good - now large, cold, uncaring and awful! 'Keep looking for a better provider as this lot are probably as bad as the one you are considering leaving!

Customer of 15 years now looking to leave.

Excellent Customer Service

I have been with this company for just over 7 years. In the past, the remotely operated switch (for white meter night-time heating and hot water) broke. It clearly said on it that it was the property of Scottish Power, not Atlantic (or Scottish Hydro - their parent company). First off, I contacted Atlantic. They arranged for a Scottish Power engineer to come and replace the switch within 24 hours - excellent service. On another occasion, my account with them was so far into the black, that I asked them not to take the direct debit for one month, via my online account. They duly obliged. You might think there is nothing exceptional about this, to my mind this makes them stand out compared to some of the horror stories there are for utility companies. I am so impressed by their customer service, that it makes me nervous to switch to a potentially cheaper supplier. I personally haven't had a bad experience with them.

Gas And Electricity

Avoid this Company like the plague. I have been a Customer twice in different properties, they do not manage their meter reader`s readings and even if you pay by direct debit they SHOCK you with an exorbitant like 2 years later. I paid what they required and suddenly got a bill for almost £800 in both properties.Their tariff is ridiculous in comparison and I will NEVER use them ever. I have switched.
