Would Have Left Me £1300 Out Of Pocket
I booked flights with e-bookers which included four flights from the uk to mexico with internal flights while I would be in mexico. I have two middle names. In transferring my name to the aeromexico booking, ebookers mangled my name, making one of middle names my surname and removing my surname entirely. When I first got the confirmation I assumed my surname was missing because of the length of my full name. When I came to select my seats a month before the flight I noticed the entire surname missing. I immediately called and explained the issue. After two weeks of messing around with forms, sending them copies of my passport, being on hold for an hour every time I called them, them hanging up on me constantly and them repeatedly asking for my 'marriage certificate to explain why I had change my surname' (i hadn't). They finally sent me a curt email to say the airline wouldn't change the name at all and my only option was to cancel the £570 ticket with a refund of £70 in taxes only and rebook a ticket for £1000. £500 Wasted and an extortionate £1000 basic economy ticket. I called them in tears, the guy on the end of the phone hung up on me. I called again still in tears, the guy said he would 'try one last time to ask the airline and would call me back'. He never called me back. No one ever replied to my emails after this. Completely at a loss I guessed the email of an executive leadership team member of the airline and explained what had happened. Within an hour he had replied and asked for my number. Within another hour his assistant had called me and my ticket had been cancelled and a new one issued free of charge. I was speechless - how could ebookers have let me down so monumentally. Essentially, ebookers are more than useless. They are heartless and completely incompetent. Aeromexico are golden and have a customer for life (but one that will be booking directly and avoiding expedia/ ebookers).

I booked a ticket, paid for it thru Ebookers, and got a confirmation that all was well. Then Ebookers told me they couldn't process my payment and were cancelling my reservation, even though the charge showed up on my credit card, and the credit card people said they fully approved the charge.
For the next 3 days I was in limbo, as the charges were still "pending" on my card. I couldn't make alternative arrangements.
Ebookers had no number to call and wouldn't communicate by email.
Eventually, the charges were reversed and the flight I'd booked (and wanted badly) was cancelled. I had to book a new flight and pay a lot more. Don't use Ebookers!
Lier, Horrible Customer Service, Experience Stressful Travel
I have bought the flight ticket through enookers website which was including 20 kg baggages according to their website otherwise they charged me 101 $ for my 20 kg bagage in the departure airport and they told me I have to pay the same amount again as I am returning. According to Wow airline, which was the air line'sname, it is all ebookers fault that is told in their site 20 kg baggages is including ticket price. I send them email during my vacation , but they send me an automatic email that they would contact me whitin 48 hrs. Finally nobody came back to me. In deed, it was an awful experience.
Hotel Booked - But Actually, Not Booked!
Regrettably, I wouldn't recommend e-bookers to anyone. I booked a hotel I knew well through e-bookers - it all looked in order - I received email confirmation including an itinerary. Turned up at said hotel to be told that not only did they have no record of my booking, but they have never heard of e-bookers either. Luckily the hotel had a spare room and fit us in, but we would have been well and truly snookered if they had not (arriving late evening in a rural setting). Of course by now, I have handed over my debit card details to e-bookers, but have also had to pay the hotel direct, so rest assured I will be checking my bank account frequently to ensure I don't end up paying twice! It's the sort of hassle customers can do without!
Ripped Off By Ebookers
I had to change a flight to New Orleans on 25 April 2017. I was told I was due a partial refund and that it would be paid into my account in 5 to 7 days. I phoned a few times. It takes ages to get through to speak to someone. When I did manage to get through I was told I had to email them. I've emailed 3 times and have only had an automatic response saying they would deal with it in 48 hours, but that hasn't happened. Beware using Ebookers as they are totally unreliable in my experience.
Misleading Conditions On Flight Tickets!
Do not buy flight tickets on Ebookers. They are lying on the site - and have misleading information on ticket conditions. I purchased 2 tickets - ebookers conditions in bold lettering: TICKETS ARE REFUNDABLE. Turns out they are now refusing to do a refund and claiming it is standard text to put on their site. They are lying bluntly to costumers and not willing to either remove the text or honor their clear mistake by effecting the full refund. Will never use this site again.
Never Use This Agency Again
I am here to show my indignation regarding this subject.
I received the bank transfer in my account but instead of the 72,932.28 Thai baths that you took from my account on the 07/01/2017, I received 66,825.87 Thai baths on the 26/01/2017.
This is unbelievable. Since the beguining it was clear that I have no fault on this matter. I booked the flight with you, you took the money and then decided to cancel my trip just like that and after being payed. My client was at the airport and couldn't board on the plane, he had to stay one night in Bangkok, payed the hotel, taxi and everything and there wasn't at any time any consideration from your company regarding all the costs and consequences of your action.
After several calls and mails I was assured the money would be returned in 4 days and it took 21 days to have my money back and when you finally did it, the transfer doesn't cover the payment of the trip that I was never allowed to do.
I Asked the full amount that ebookers took from my account With any more excuses and what they told me was due a exchange ratings I received just this amount and they can't do nothing!!! SERIOUSLY???
This is no way to treat your clients, has I said it´s unbelievable that I stayed 21 days without my money for a trip that didn't happened because of you and end receiving less money after paying all the expenses of your mistake.
Dont Use Gold Car Rentals
Booked a car from e bookers in Nov for a week in Grand Canaires,e bookers took my money and passed me on to Gold car in Granda canires.When i arrived at the Gold car desk i was asked to sign a form and give my credit card as security which i did.I returned the car full of fuel as i was supposed to. On my return home i checked my credit card and found that Gold cor had taken 222.95euro from my account.
I contacted e bookers and got through to India and was assured my money would be returned,i just had to e mail Gold car all would be solver.
Unfortunate Gold car replied saying that i signed for extra insurance which was NEVER mentioned to me at the check in desk.
If i had only read the reviews on gold car i would have stayed well clear of Gold car and e bookers.
Beware of Gold car and read the reviews PLEASE.
Ripped Off
Booked a BA flight to Toronto. The price was £1200 when searched on the website, but they charged me £1331, which I only noticed when the booking completed. Also they stated there would be a CC fee, but did not say what it was. At the end of the booking I noticed it was a wrapping £32! I wrote an email of complaint to customer service, but they did not even bother to reply. It feels very much like I've been swindled. I would never use this site for a booking again and user other to be very careful when booking through it.
T&c Pages Long
Was just reviewing the terms and conditions of my flight anticipating a flight date change and was amazed that it was 2 pages long....really...why
To make it worse....I was more confused after reading the t & c than before when I had no info
So I picked up the phone to find out what this flight change would cost but gave up after waiting 15 minutes in the call centre queue

Looking to book a trip on February 12th, eBookers is the cheapeast airline tickets I could find, I read the reviews about them but has anyone had success? I am nervous and getting myself to book or not... please help?

Has anyone used eBookers to book a hotel and if so what was your experience? I am concerned as they want full payment up front but are offering the best rate.

I have had no problem with the booking experience or the hotels themselves once abroad. I have booked a few hotels and always ended up with a genuine booking and the correct hotel, but I haven't booked a holiday or anything more complex. Pay on credit card and there is always chargeback if things go wrong.
If you are booking a hotel I would recommend using the voucher code BEACH15 for 15% discount off most hotels, have just checked and it works but it does expire on the 20th. The only problem I had was to cancel a booking and boy did they give me the runaround, did get a full refund in the end but talk about hassle!
