Absolutely Useless Customer Service
I get text messages on a regular basis asking me to pay my bills on line. SSE some how have got my mobile telephone number I have tried blocking them to no avail.
I have tried many many time to call them but all I get is our customer services are busy helping customers get great service they are not a good service provider at all far from it.

What Does Deadlock Mean?
This company breached DPA, I complain and complain... because I am right and they are wrong, they send me a letter saying we are in deadlock so tough??????? how does that work???? load of rubbish. will never as long as i live be a customer of SSE again. even if they take over the world and I have to live in a mud hut in the woods burning cow pats for fuel!

Horrific Company, Would Never Recommend!
I just wanted to let everyone know what kind of company SWALEC really are. Due to THIER mistake, they undercharged us by £1049.80, & have now billed us for this amount.
Not only is the above stressful enough, but me & my husband are expecting our first child as I am 9 months & 2 weeks pregnant, & my husband has just been made redundant, & we are 1 month & 5 days away from being made homeless as the house we are in came with the job.
So thank you SWALEC for being incompetent, rude & condesending, give yourselves a big pat on the back for nearly giving me a nervous breakdown! I am just glad that my woderful husband was there so that he could deal with it, considering I had been reduced to a sniveling mess!
We were lucky that we had been saving hard, however the full £1000.00 was paid to them today.
Oh but I should add according to them, this is fine, as they said sorry in their letter!
Very Expensive On Prepayment (pay As You Go)
I couldn't believe the difference between their charges and EDF (also EON) on prepayment. These prices will change, so I'm not going to post the current tariffs, just be aware that you could end up several hundred pounds a year worse off if you have the "wrong" supplier/tariff. If like me you have limited money don't just assume that you have to use the existing supplier - check around for the best price.
Also consider this - I recently calculated for a pensioner the cost of Swalec pre-payment vs A.N.Other standard tariff (both with day and economy metering) and it came to an eye-watering £500 per year. How's that for a kick in the teeth when you are living on benefits as some must do?
Wast Of Time
Recently got in touch with customer services, what a wast of time.
Had a new meter instaled the man fitting it said it's wrong meter so he rang his office to tell them.
They said fit it now I'm useing twice as much of electric than I was before acording to this meter.
Asked them to check it and all I got was the runner round, you are only useing 7 units a day so unless you use 10 units we will not check it

Been With Swalec Energy For About 3 Years Now And
Been with swalec energy for about 3 years now and have always thought they were very good, never had any problems with them at all.
Very pleasant staff and very efficient.
