Appalled And Disgusted

Reply from Office

After send back my ugg slippers to Office customer services for them to be examined as they developed an unsightly mark and after cleaning them with the ugg cleaner they became discoloured. Office examined them and said that they cannot take any responsibility if the cleaner was used incorrectly which it wasn't and they were worn, which was three times so they are unable to take the slippers back as per their returns policy and had the cheek to state that they understood that wasn't the outcome I would have liked but hope I'll understand the reason why they couldn't accept them back, A £75 PAIR OF SLIPPERS (DISGUSTING ) just an exchange i would have been happy with. They just didn't want to accept responsibility, will avoid office at all costs. So much for the Christmas present from my son.

They arrived back to me in a box, the way they were , was like " we're finished with these.now just chuck them in the box and send them back . NEVER AGAIN

Should be reported to trading standards the way they treat their customers

First complaint to Office

My son bought me a pair of Ugg slippers for Christmas costing £75 not cheap. Wore them three times when they developed this brown unusual unsightly mark going right across one of the slippers, unusual place. Took them back to office saw one manager who said bring them back with the receipt and he'll see what he can do. Went back the next with the receipt saw a different manager this time (how many managers does a store have? ) she refused to exchange or refund but offered me 25% off the ugg cleaner and advised me how to use the cleaner which I followed using the scrapper as advised now it has now discoloured the slipper. Mentioned this to office sending pictures of the mark and the discolouration. I said that I was prepared to accept a replacement or for office to send them away to be professionally cleaned which they declined both. Was so disappointed in office, being a well known expensive store. Now left with a discoloured expensive slipper. Scared of wearing them now. Have now got in touch with watch dog and trading standards because I thought uggs had a warranty on them and they haven't even had the courtesy to reply to my last email. Would never be buying anything from Office, so much for my poor son spending so much. Wouldn't buy another pair of Uggs but not from Office

Bad Quality Shoes, Problems With Return

I've bought a boots at one of their shops near Oxford circus. In one week some metal pieces on the boots has fallen down so I brought it back to the shop. A cashier told me she will get me money back but I was missing my ID so I went out to get it. When I came back now one hour the manager of the shop appeared. She took a look at my boots and said that it might be my fault that the pieces has fallen down due to "that kind of shoes are delicate to use", as she said. I replied that although I don't understand what does it mean exactly I only used that boots in the office. The manager grinned into my face and said that the boots look like I used it outside. Yes, I could be out for a cigarette, I replied, buy anyway, where was it written that the boots are made to use them inside only??? As my futher conversation with the manager was useless and a bit rude from her side, I agreed to leave my shoes for assessment. They said, in 2 weeks maximum I will recieve updates.

It's been one month since then. I still haven't had any news. I wrote few letters in the office, twice they asked me to send them my receipt. But exept endless "we are sorry" I haven't received nothing, not even the date when I should expect for some news. My last email was just ignored.

I had to write a complaint to ombudsman today and now am waiting to start the process.

Seems like it's the only way to talk to that people who works for Office shoes.

So I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to everyone NEVER DEAL with this retailer. Apart of bad service in the shop you will be all alone if you're in trouble with the shoes.

The worst attitude to the customers have never met in my life.

After A Recommendation From A Friend Who'd Had No

After a recommendation from a friend who'd had no problem ordering a pair of shoes from Office in the past, I decided to have a look in their summer sale. I would've gone into one of the stores, but our nearest one is an almost two hour journey away. I'm going on holiday soon and wanted a new pair of trainers that would be comfortable for the amount of walking we'll be doing. I chose a pair of Nike trainers, which had been £115, down to £50, then £45 with the extra 10% off code. Thinking I was getting a bargain, I ordered the shoes and quickly received my confirmation email.

A week after ordering them and I still hadn't received an email about dispatch (my account online said it was apparently still "in progress"), so I googled how long it would take for them to be dispatched and found, amongst others, this site. I quickly read a few reviews - just as bad everywhere, with only a few good ones thrown in - and suddenly I just knew that this was going to happen to me. I messaged them on Facebook after reading that I'd probably have no luck calling or emailing them and received a quick-ish response from a nice enough woman. I had explained that I was going on holiday soon and wanted to make sure they'd arrive in time as I'd expected them to be dispatched (if not delivered) by this time. She asked for the order number, which I then gave her. I didn't hear back from her or Office that night.

The first message I received was from Paypal saying my payment had been cancelled. This was fairly self explanatory, but I still had not been replied to on Facebook yet. Less than an hour later, I did get a response.

"We're really sorry but this item hasn't been processed through our system as it should have. As such, the order has now been cancelled and no payment will be taken. Your funds may show on hold with your bank but this will be released shortly.

We're really sorry about this and would like to offer you 20% off of your next full price order, excluding UGGS. All you need to do is place this order, pay full price and let us know. We'll then refund the 20% to your account.

We Hope this helps.

Thanks."

I don't even know where to start with this. First of all the shoes I wanted are now (obviously) out of stock and the only other place I could find them (Offspring) didn't have them in my size and was part of Office, so I didn't want to order from them either. Not that it matters, since I won't be ordering from them again, but I really didn't like the sound of "pay full price and let us know". Why not just give me a discount code? I'd gotten the shoes on sale in the first place, so a) I wouldn't have been able to use this code on reordering the same shoes if they had been in stock, and b) if I'd been able to reorder the shoes at full price it would have cost almost £100 anyway.

Clearly what happened to me is what happened to plenty of others who left a review - Office let me order something they didn't have in stock and just weren't going to tell me until I did something about it. I was so surprised when I initially searched how long they took to dispatch items and saw their reviews. With such a huge company you just don't expect them to be so incompetent.

All I can say for them is at least they responded to me a lot quicker than others have said, so if you're having problems with them I'd recommend you message them on Facebook as that seems to be easiest. While, clearly, you can sometimes actually receive shoes you order online from Office, I won't be testing that out any time soon. I'd probably still have a look in their actual stores, but I've not heard great things about doing that either.

Do Not Use This Company

What an awful company.

Customer service is VERY poor. Took them 34 days to deal with a refund.

On Line Service Appalling

I ordered a pair of boots and received confirmation that they were on their way plus tracking info, next thing I know is that I am being refunded with the cost less postage. The tracking order shows that they are still waiting them at the delivery company. They never had these boots available and rather than admit it just refunded me but kept the postage. Phone lines a joke to get through on and promises of return email not happening. They are hoping I will just go away. This is a matter of principle now and shocking customer service

Terrible Returns Policy

I bought a pair of Parisian lace up heels for a wedding, they cost £75. I wore them on one occasion, only wearing them inside. After one wear, the suede covering both heels peeled and showed the white plastic heel. I was not careless in my wearing of the shoes and I do not recall the heels coming into contact with anything. On this basis I returned them to the Chester store, I was annoyed that I paid £75 for a pair of shoes and the quality of material was so poor. A very snotty customer assistant insisted that there was no fault with the shoe and that the damage was accidental therefore I has no right to refund, exchange or repair. Also the price has nothing to do with expected quality (according to Office). Now I am left with a pair of poor quality shoes that have white plastic heels showing through poor quality suede that I will be unable to wear again. I'm off to Timpsons to see if they can be repaired meaning £75 shoes have now cost £90 when factoring the repair fee in! Terrible customer service!!!!!!! I will NEVER be shopping with Office again.

Return Policy Shocking

I recently bought a pair of shoes, toms to be exact, I tried them on in the shop and they were great and I thought I would wear them round for the day to wear them in. I had a pair of toms last year and they were the comfiest shoes ever however we've these toms they rubbed the back of my ankles to point where they were bleeding.

I went back to the store not to even ask for my money back just to exchange them for a different pair where I was I told I couldn't because I wore them outside. I showed the back of my ankles and she said that's just the way it is, u should have wore them inside. Absolutely shocking service and from now on I will stick to schuh as they have a great return policy.

Didn't Deliver My £108 Boots, Won't Answer Emails!

I ordered a pair off ugg boots, when tracking said they were out for delivery I stayed in all day but no one called, so I rechecked tracking which had been updated to " delivered to customer " but they hadn't......at least not me! It's been a week since my boots went missing and office have been useless, I supplied them with all the details I could including my signiture and am still waiting for a reply never mind a replacement or refund! Avoid this company I am seeing the bank regarding this as its now theft, they have my money and I DO NOT have my boots!
