Great Service..thanks

sorted out my van insurance with quoteline direct! great service, she was very chatty, was nervous to go with a company with such bad reviews but she was very efficient, listened to what i needed and sorted out my insurance for me. she sent my documents whilst on the phone to me, would definitely be recommended them. Just wanted to thank her as she was great! best service i have received in a while

Avoid Like The Plague Couldnt Care Less Attitude

I contacted Quote line to take advantage of the insurance I had with them. I was referred to Arc Legal as this was a consumer matter. (Another bunch of incompetents) When things started going wrong with ARC Legal, another story. I went back to Quote line and raised the problems with them. Initially they were stand offish and really didn't seem to care very much but after keeping onto them they have taken a completely different approach and decided that they couldn’t care less.

After persisting with the first line incompetents it was referred to someone who declared they were the complaints manager  She listened to the saga, said all the right things but I later found out that in the first instance she wasn’t the complaints manager and in the second instance did absolutely nothing to help at all. In fact I couldn’t even find any evidence at all that she had assisted with the problems with Arc Legal at all.  After doing some research about the company I found out that who was the Customer Service Manager. When I finially got to speak with him, I thought I’d had what seemed to be a reasonable conversation. He pledged to look into the matter and come back to me within a couple of days. More than a week later he failed to keep his promise and hadn’t called me with the promised update. Instead he wrote to me dusting down his shoulders and claiming that it was all down to the underwriters to make a decision and nothing to do with them as the broker. I spoke with Towergate the insurers and they most definitely stated in very clear terms it was the broker who was responsible. I also spoke with the FOS and they reinforced the position. In brief Quote Line had taken my money it was their responsibility to help. Having stated to this to another person he only wrote back with more excuses. I protested again and demanded my money back as I had been told to do by my credit card company and this time a different guy wrote back and again referred me away. Ironically he is the compliance Manager. So it seems I must take the matter to the FOS to have the compliance manager educated in matters of compliance !!

My Credit card company have registered the complaint and started the process of getting my money back. All this has detracted from the original claim and that isn’t being dealt with.

I would urge anyone to think very carefully about using Quote Line or any of the other names they go by. These are the details of the company;

I have also reported the matter to consumer direct and spoken to Manchester Trading Standards. Watchdog have also been informed.

Gave Up At The Quote Stage

Spent a long time filling in the proposal form online. The outcome was that the system couldn't provide me with a quote online, and I needed to call them quoting a reference number. The blurb said thay had all my details and the call would only take a couple of minutes. When I called, the person I spoke to started going through the entire proposal form again. I queried this and he said it was the only way, 'for legal reasons'. I said thanks but I don't intend to waste any more of my time.

What is the point of entering the details into a website and then having to go through it all again?

Car /trailer Broken Down In France-superb Breakdown Service

The sat nav took our car and trailer down a small road in France on to a farm track and finally a field. This was particularly difficult as it was difficult to reverse with the trailer, it was dark and the conditions were muddy. The Breakdown company telephone operator could not have been more helpful and kept us fully informed until the support arrived to a fairly remote spot in 30 minutes. The two local operatives made sure both our car and trailer were towed out on to the main road and we were able to proceed on our journey

my experiance with this company was horrible

never ever seen any t&cs with any company

i bought the van insurrance with them

kept it for 2 moths and then cancelled it due to

changreof circumstances

2 months of insurrance cost me 800 pounds

been told cancellacion charge, admin charge , direct debit charge

bla bla charge , bla bla charge and so on

would suggest to never buy it as its just a rip of the pockets

Nightmare - Avoid - Not Worth The Small Savings.

Not using these people again....Customer Service awful.

Can't get through.

They were a bit cheaper than big boys (LV, Hastings, etc) but not worth the hassle.

Praying I don't have a claim this year.

Can't talk to you when you are buying their product, what are they like when you are claiming !

I compare insurance prices every year and this company is by far the worst in 15 years of switching policies.

What A Bunch Of Clowns & Liars!

I'm not the biggest fan of vehicle insurance as the industry is an uneven unregulated joke! Basically these numpties take the award for the most unbelievable of the lot of em! Basically don't fall for the 'cheapest & we'll give u a hundred years NCD' jargon as it's really just to get you on the hook before they then bleed you dry of insane amounts of money for things like a change of vehicle or a cancellation! My van blew up 4 months into my premium so I have to buy a new van which they want to charge really greedy stupid amounts of money to swap, even smaller vans are coming in at daft prices, whilst doing this they won't even insure a temp vehicle!!!!!!!!! I've lost the will to live,trying to run a business while dealing with these jokes, I'll be spreading this love like the plague! Stay away for your own sake!

Don't offer commercial insurance if you can't cut it Quoteline!

Why And How Direct Lince Car Insurence Can Run A Buisness.

I'm extremely distraught with the experience I am having with Direct Line car Insurance ( DL) regarding my insurance claim on my car which still hasn't been sorted after nearly 4 months. This complaint was regarding a break into my car on the 7th of April 2013. Why do people usually take out fully comprehensive insurance cover? It's because they want that peace of mind that if a misfortunate incident occurs they can rely on their insurance!! However I'm extremely distraught to say that I can't say the same about my insurance company direct line! I'm intrigued to find out where my hard earned money goes that I pay to cover me as DL has done nothing but to cause more pain to me! Firstly I went through this tragic experience of finding my car broken in to and damaged to this extent when I had only recently serviced it and secondly I'm being made out to be the criminal who is doing wrong! How is this fair!? How anything DL do is even legal and they are allowed to take people's money and when something happens you refuse to do what they have promised and don't take any responsibility but instead look at ways to get out of doing what I pay to do!

I work full time and it’s so stressful to find time to call every day and either get no answer or just be told to wait! It wasn't a problem when DL took money out of my account but when it comes to doing their job that what I pay them for it is becoming an issue! No one is taking responsibility. When I first called I was assured by a customer advisor of direct line that it’s all covered and everything will be sorted, I have even kept the voicemail form an advisor apologising for how long it’s taken and saying all will be covered should anyone need to hear to confirm! However when this assessor (Wayne Jones) came to see my car it seemed his job was to try and find out ways in which I won't be covered for as much as he could possibly get away with! His behaviour was absolutely disgusting. He made me feel as if I was in the wrong and it's my fault that my car is in the state it is. I thought going with direct line I will have a great service and peace of mind but it seems their customer service ends once the cover has been taken out! After that it seemed like I never took any cover at all! I don't need this extra stress! The assessor is taking advantage of the fact that I only recently serviced my car and using that for his own benefits. When you service the car from Lexus they record every little detail such as tiny scratches, graze marks and blemishes. Well this so called assessor used this to his advantage and suggesting that the massive scratches and damage won't be covered as this was already on there before. There is an obvious difference between tiny surface scratches that buff out and scratches that have deliberately been put on there using some sort of a tool when my car was vandalised. The police have taken finger prints and have matched it however they still haven't caught the person yet. I just want justice that's all. I pay for a service and all I want is you guys to do what you promised to deliver and do not take advantage of my situation to benefit yourself.

My car had been to the garage from )7/04 to 22/06, when I HAD to remove after paying ÂŁ450 access with no repair as the garage said to me that they are going to charge me ÂŁ20/day for parking. How could I remove the care when they only repaired car window glass no scratches were even touched and the seats still ripped.

This is the worst experience I have ever had from any company. Extremely poor customer service. It's not right that companies treat customers so poorly!

I am very surprised how and why a company like DL is out there conning people and still allowed to run the business. I have been with them for a very long time, this is my first claim I have made and this is the way I get treated. Very disgusting to be fair.

Quote Line Direct Car Insurance Is Very Competitiv

Quote Line Direct car insurance is very competitively priced! Direct Line offered a 10% discount as we already take Household Insurance with them, and Quote Line still came in significantly cheaper.

They always contact me in good time to renew, and they chase by telephone if I haven't responded, which means I never forget!

I have been using this company for several years for Car Insurance. They offer an excellent service, and they continually review the underwriters to give the customer the best car insurance deal possible.

I am happy to recommend them to others.

Actually most people would call that harassment, you failed to mention the 'helpful ' letters threatening legal action. Try making a claim & you'll be chasing them with very little success. Are you an employee by any chance, because they write their own reviews too!
