For Those Looking For The Combination Of A Small C
For those looking for the combination of a small compact MP3 player with good quality sound and adjustable EQ, this does the job superbly. Much better than any others I've tried. There are currently 4 available - the 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB.
I’ve not used mine for recording until now so unable to comment. I have just tried using it as a Dictaphone, using the built in microphone and the sound quality was a little muffled. Holding the player/recorder 30cm away whilst recording was perfectly audible on playback, but when I held it over a metre away the level dropped considerably. I’m guess it would be better with a quality microphone plugged in.
I am planning to buy a cowon mp3 player but my main concern is recording capability. Can you please tell me how good is it as a recorder? My main recording is of lectures and speeches in halls or classroom type areas or maybe in the open. SO will this mp3 player be good in these situations as compared to iRiver.
