Too Awesome!!!

For someone like myself who had limited riding experience and wanted to enhance my skills. Selecting a bike that best accommodated those needs, the right bike was very important to me. I currently own a 2005 Dyna FXDI. This was my first bike I've ever purchased. I added a few compliments to the bike, Screaming Eagle pipes, Leather saddle bags and a few chrome plates. I absolutely, whole heartily love this bike. Why pay for therapy, when all you have to do is get on a Dyna. Talk about value, maximum resale and limited. I feel like I'm part of an elite community of current and past Dyna owners. Too Awesome:

Superglide Sport 2004

I rode most Japanese bikes in my time, this bike changed everything about motorcycling for me. Looks, sound, raw appeal. It encompasses everything which most other motorcycles will never do, both in power and chill factors, and adds a smile that every time I look in the mirror, pisses even me off! Its got that James Dean appeal, and makes you feel like there is a story line in every trip. She will turn heads, Like Meatloaf, she is a "silver black phantom bike", When I first got her, she had screaming eagles on her, but she blew them off. So we replaced them with Vance Hines, and this time put an aluminium tap in each..that day she blew them off as well...I soon realised that this bike had attitude, and demanded a rider with a greater imagination..lol..So this time we used stainless steel taps and designed a bracket just on the off chance that she would buckaroo once more. So far so good!!...and believe me she's good. That good I named her Bessie, for beast and best. She's mine now, till the very end, a bat out of hell...and like the imagination itself, a dream come true.

My Two Years Living With A Harley

I bought my super glide second hand and over a period of time realised how poor it was.

The brakes were poor and thats being kind

The handling was brick like and all I wanted to do was get across a roundabout without grinding the foot pegs.

Try using it to commute to work on and watch the thin chrome and finish rust in front of your eyes

Parts can take months to arrive

But it looked and sounded good and if thats all you want then get one if you want to actually use a motorcycle for whats its meant to be .....DONT

I have owned Harley Davidsons for more than thirty years. They have always been good bikes to me. They are not Japanese sport bikes. They are what they are. My current bike is a 82 FXRS Shovelhead Superglide 2, rubber mounted, 5 speed. In my opinion the best Harley ever made. I ride it daily. Put on 10-12 thousand miles a year. For the Harley line up you can't beat the Superglide. Sounds like you should of stayed with the Jap bikes. Most of my friends own Dyna Superglides, even my wife.

I Purchased My Fxdi 35 New And Added A Standard St

I purchased my fxdi 35 new and added a standard stage one with screaming eagle pipes. The bike is one of the best Harley's I've ever riden; it handles well and has near perfect balance. Last year I had a big bore kit added which involved new cams, new management system and an increased 1550 capacity. I also had the gas flows smoothed out: all of which added a massive 20% more power. The only negative I have is that the bike has had two relay failures, which I understand from the mechanics is a known issue, if you don't have a spare handy you are buggered... Tip, for 10$ keep a spare set. Great bike which has delivered much enjoyment.

The Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide Fxd 1450is A

The Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide FXD 1450is a great motorcycle. I have a 2005 and with the hard leather bags and detachable windshield I love it.

Plenty of power. Big enough to go with the biggest and small enough to move around easily.

Basically a sportster front end. Mine.. the 2005 has 39 mm forks. The 06 and above have 49 mm which is slightly better but not much. Can't put forward controls on the 05 with an engine guard. Harley makes them for 06 and above but nor for an 05.

I Owned My Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide Fxd 14

I owned my Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide FXD 1450 for over 7 years and have just sold it for a very reasonable price. in that time it never once let me down, which I think is very good. when I brought it new I had it stage tuned and had screamin eagle pipes put on it, which made it sound like a proper Harley. I owned big Japanese sports bikes for many years before buying the Harley so I was a little apprehensive about what I would think of the bike, but I have to say that the power is OK and the handling is OK, as long as you remember you are on a cruiser, not a racer. I use to get good mpg, and spares are no more expensive than the Japanese bikes. I think the bolt on extras that everyone buys can sometimes be massively over the top price wise, but everyone buys them anyway. if there was one thing that I didn't like about the bike it would have to be the Harley dealers, I found most of them unhelpful and in some cases totally useless when dealing with me, I am sure it's not true of all Harley dealers but where I lived ( London ) I thought my local dealer was very poor, and as the dealers are quite spread apart going to another might involve a lengthy journey. If you are thinking of buying a Dyna Glide I would say go for it, and if you buy new, although the dealer won't give you a discount you can get free bits thrown into the deal if you haggle hard enough.

Nice Bike. One Of The Quickest Harleys I ' Ve Ridd

Nice bike. One of the quickest Harleys I ' ve ridden. The handling is a bit suspect at speed. Especially when you hit a lorry rut or groove in the road. The rear can go into a scary weave. I think the rubber mount system is to blame. Don ' t get me wrong. I do like the bike.
