Vauxhall Astra 1.8 SRI

lovely car nice to look at lots of room inside how ever very costly with fuel and car tax!!

I had bought a Vauxhall Astra 1.8 SRI from new and its been very reliable and vauxhall have been very good for parts and service

I am 22, and in my four years of driving I have drove a lot of cars, nothing that I have been in has the best deal for the price, obivously you can get bigger and better but it come with a cost, but you get a lot for what you pay for in this car.

I had this Vauxhall Astra for one month, I stuck it out for that long hoping it would grow on me, why I bought it I don't know even to this day. It's a very cheap and nasty car that is slapped with a horrible plastic interior you get what you pay for. The model I purchased was an 1.8 Sri and I traded in my 52 plate VW Passat 1.9tri sport estate for it as I wanted to down grade in size but I wanted to keep the sportiness, and I must have been mad, unimpressed by this I took it back to the dealers and swiftly changed it. I didn't like the lack of power from the engine my kids can ride their bikes faster, the front leg room was awful you couldn't fit a small handbag in the foot well with someone sitting on the passenger side, you practically sat on the floor, but that might have something to do with the car trying to look like and behave like something that was sporty but it fails in both and that sport button does nothing. I think it's there to look flash, yes it looks like nothing else out there but its breeding and everyone on a tight budget is buying them and they are so common. Another very good reason why I got rid of mine, everybody seems to have bought an Astra and I don't think it's because they are good cars, but seriuosly I didn't like anything about this car. I had it for a month and got shot of it, before you buy a car go and sit in it, take it for a test drive there are by far much better cars out there for the same price as an Vauxhall Astra 1.8 SRi.

The new Astra 1.8 SRI Sport is a brill car that dont cost the earth and drives as good as it looks.Well done Vauxhall you have come a long way since my last 1995 model which was errr rubbish.
