Very Quick, Very Professional, Vary Quick

Have been interested in Solar for some time and was ready to commit recently. Saw the PSUK add on FB and it looked slick and professional. Made contact and from then to now is just over 2 weeks, First visit, to having solar for 4 days. Everyone turned up on time, did the work with minimal disruption. Great initial deposit, great monthly payment. Very pleased so far.

When Things Go Wrong

The installation was slick and the system has worked reliably over the last year, but what impressed me was how they handled a generation shortfall for the first 12 months. There's a guarantee of a certain amount of PV generation, and I was 10% below. I raised this as an issue with them, and they installed additional panels, at no cost, promptly and with no fuss.

Foxess App Stopped Working

For the first time in almost 3 years of having absolutely zero issues, I had to make a call into Project Solar UK due to losing all the solar data on the FoxESS cloud app.

After experiencing such excellent service when installing the panels, associated equipment and after care service, I wondered if anything had changed or the service was going to be the same as before.

I need not have worried as once again they have stood out from the rest...the individual who first took my call (upset i missed her name) was quick to identify the issue and passed me straight to Kacper in the maintenance department, after a few mins he had reinstalled the equipment, sent me a link to access the wi-fi and get it all working again.

Total time spent was about 15 mins sorting it all out and very happy again.

So I can now say, pre / during and post service from Project Solar UK is right up there at the top - well done and thank you.

A A1 Class Solar Company

contacted project solar by accident after looking at advert.I was then contacted and a appointment was made .At first appoinment i found it was alot to take in. But after looking at everything i asked for the panels to be sited on two different roofs instead of on one facing south east. The salesman had to return and alter all the paperwork and agreed to some on south east and some on south west. After that everything went ever so smoothly even though it was fitted on the only day it snowed. The only compliant was it took two phone calls to get the fitting team to comeback and tidy some loose wires on solar panels

Smooth Instal

After lots of paperwork, date was fixed for scaffolding and instal. Scaffold was done in half a day and next day the he solar panels got installed on roof top.

The electrons came a few days later and fitted batteries and rest of the connections. It too a full day 2 people working. Scaffolding collected a week later. It took some time for certificates and ref no from the grid but once these arrived I was soon exporting to grid. Indications are that I will benefit in long term.

Project Solar Installation

Right from the start this has been a positive experience. The rep was very knowledgable but not pushy and never rushed me into making a decision. The scaffolders were fast and very careful of my garden.

The installers were a complete delight, friendly, efficient and very tidy.

Also, the after care has been great....I'm impressed!

Smooth Process

I contacted project solar on a whim from an advert to see what the deal was with solar and the benefits. Once I spoke to the sales rep, I was sold! I knew solar was the way to go but this conversation confirmed it with me. He was honest, accurate with information and had a clear simple cost structure and savings benefit.

The office team were second to none and the installation team arrived on time, were courteous and polite. It all went sooo smooth I would recommend this to anyone thinking of having solar fitted. Good price, excellent loan package and excellent product.

Very Pleased

Very pleased, professional and communication was excellent, I was kept very well informed about the installation times and date, follow up emails and phone calls to make sure I was happy with the work being done, the people doing the installation were knowledgeable and would answer all my questions, everything was complete and running in about 4 and half hours, even in the bad weather we had, I would fully recommend Project Solar.

Fast Action, Well Organised

A lot of information to absorb, but the salesman was very patient and helpful. The fitting allowed for one day to put up scaffolding, installation the next and then taking down the scaffolding a couple of days later.

Before the installers left, they explained the system, put an app on my phone, and showed that electricity was already being produced. They offered different options to fix the equipment and nothing was too much trouble.

There is one thing left to do, connect to Octopus Flux, which is for me to do and is in hand. Our Smart Meter is already showing much reduced energy costs and we get a "pay back" too.

Very happy with everything, so far, and if there is a problem I have the help line number to assist. It's going to be easy to calculate savings, both from electricity reduction from the grid and also cash-back.

Would recommend Project Solar team to anyone.

Q&A

hue821

I am having a system installed in Feb 2023. I know what make the panels are but I have no idea what the make/model of the inverter and batteries will be. I am having 20 panels installed with a 6 kW battery. If anyone has very recent experience of either, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

LUMCM8PSUK

For every positive you’ll get negatives! I was cautious but well he spot with mine! Electric bill has plummeted, admittedly it isn’t as good in the winter, but from August 2022 when installed, I paid no electric until around mid October, and even now I see benefits, so it’s your call as I am happy, but others may not be. But then that’s the way of the world!

sajrichardson

My Project Solar panels were installed in June 2014 and appear to be working well. I have been receiving calls from companies offering to check the performance of the system which, they said, was a legal requirement. Is this the case? I am suspicious and believe that this is a scam and could lead to an invalidation of the warranty.

Thank you

I'd ring Project Solar UK direct and ask, or call Solar GUide UK for impartial advice.

How much is the boiler doctor and is it worth using on a new boiler?

scotttoye

My house is all eletric but did have the hot water system put in the solar iboost its ok. If you time it right but do miss the constant hot water if i want water on in the winter and its already been on have to press the iboost button for 15 mins intervals at a time up to two hours for hot water hope this helps

sbartrip

I have a question I need to ask (but not directed at this solar panel company where I have got mine from). My parents (pensioners) have solar panels and I suspect that the company that installed them have gone into liquidation. Will they still get FIT payments and who do they contact if there is a problem? Is there a governing body like Ofcom? Any help would be much appreciated.

abdulraoufackad

Dear Sbartrip

Your parents should have registered the feeding Tariff with any energy company.

This way it does not matter if the company that installed the panels is trading or not. The forms and documents take approx. 5 weeks to process.

Can anybody tell me how much are you producing over the last 2/3 days given the bad whether condition? I have installed it last week and my 4kw system is producing on average 300 watts which not even covering my washing machine which consumes average 600 watts on its one run and in a day it comes to 3.2kwh. I'm not sure my system is performing in optimum level given the bad weather.

bazlewis

yes during the winter when there is less sun you do produce less power. but do not worry some days are sunnier than others. you can get your system checked if you want but I always check my system by the amount of power I get on a sunny day. if its good on a sunny day its good when its not.

mamunmail

Their price is too high in comparison to the market. Are they really that good? Please advice

Mrsfloppyjumping

do not use project solar i am still having problems nearly 5 years on and there customer service is shocking I am now getting an independent to look at system and will also be informing ofgen as to the mis selling of this product

nsamuel61

Do the financial claims made by the reps equate in real terms of generation and payments received?

Mrsfloppyjumping

no no and no told us the system is self funding load of rubbish

technika3

Has any one had any after-sales problems with Project Solar UK please?

Marsbars

Who has not is a better question.
