Brasher Ladies Supalite Gtx
I purchased a pair of Ladies Brasher Supalite GTX boots and suffered blisters in the heel area after only 2 miles of walking. The inside of the heel was very coarse leather, which was more like an industrial abrasive. After many months of trying I could not break these boots in. The more I tried the bigger the blisters became. After a protracted process I have now managed to receive a full refund.
I absolutely agree. Have worn these boots for short distances on several occasions but my heels hurt so much that I've now given up and will have to sell them. The pain lasted for months.
I too have had major blister problems with these boots....had an earlier version without any problems, really comfy....but these, after just two or three miles they had sliced all the skin off my heels. Have tried them three times now, just short easy country walks so they will be cleaned up and I will take them back to see if I can get some satisfaction.

Brasher Ladies Supalite GTX
I am just about to throw out my second pair of Ladies Supalite Boots - I had the first pair for 12 months walking most days for 2 - 5 miles, they were very comfortable but the soles wore out completely so as I loved the comfort of the boots and the fact that they were completely waterproof, unlike my Scarpa Rangers! I went for my second pair, what a difference in the comfort - I had awful blisters from just walking a couple of miles in them for the first couple of months but I persisted with them as they were expensive and the first pair I'd had were so comfortable, they eventually improved enough to be able to use them but were never as comfortable, the soles on the second pair have worn down to smooth again in 16 months.
I did notice that my first pair of Brasher Supalites were manufactured in China - the second pair were manufactured in Portugal.
I won't be buying a third pair!!!

Sadly I Believed All The Hype About How 'comfortab
Sadly I believed all the hype about how 'comfortable' the Supalite boots are supposed to be. I paid £120 just before a walking holiday but wore the boots once only as they caused cripplimg pain in both feet. The selling point seems to be the 'rigidity' of the sole and while this may be fine for a lot of people, the podiatrist I had to consult after the holiday ( the pain persisited even after I stopped wearing the boots)confirmed that a rigid sole is entirely unsuitable for my feet. Brasher said it wasn't their problem and the shop where I bought them said it wasn't their problem.Nice.
You don't have a zero rating option, but that would be my real verdict.
How awful for you. However, to be fair, all walking shoes need to be broken in before a major walk .. and perhaps they were just too new if you bought them just before your holiday. I've worn my Brasher Supalites since 2005, walking the Larapinta Trail in Central Australia, the Apusemi Mountains in Transylvannia, hillwalking in Ireland, many many bushwalks around Sydney, and am about to do an 8 day trek through Madonie Mountains in Sicily. Wont' wear anything else.

I Have Had Nothing But Blisters With My Boots Whic
I have had nothing but blisters with my boots which is costing me a fortune in plasters, I have tried them with various socks and various innner soles but nothing makes a difference. Another lady at my walking club has also had the same boots and has had the same problem. After paying all that money I now find I have no choice but to pay out for new boots as did my frined. I would not recommend these boots.

I Have Very Happily Had Two Pairs Of Brasher Women
I have very happily had two pairs of Brasher Women's Supalites before but because I wear them for about 8 miles a day the uppers eventually crack and split. However, because they were previously the lightest and most comfortable boots I had worn, I have just bought another pair. These are totally different - the leather is much harder, the laces are inferior and shorter, and after only 3 miles they gave me terrible blisters. I waited until my heels cleared up and tried them again with different socks, but got more blisters and a bruise on my ankle. Brasher tell me they have changed the fitting and firmed up the heels in response to customer feedback (they didn't mention the rubbishy laces) but in my opinion they are not the boots they were. I can't get on with them at all and have now dumped them and will be buying Meindl. An expensive mistake and I am very disappointed.

I Had Was Pleaed With My Supalite Gtx Boots. Comfo
I had was pleaed with my supalite GTX boots. Comfortable, nice soft leather lined, however after 2 years of very occasional country walks in them and virtually no wear on the soles, these soles just came away from the boot. I tried a shoe repairer and then tried Shoe Goo glue to fix them but nothing worked. Very dissapointed and I shall not be buying Brasher again

Bought A Pair Of These Years Ago And They Were Fan
Bought a pair of these years ago and they were fantastic. After some particularly difficult terrain in the Himalayas they finally disintegrated having done sterling service. I did not hesitate in replacing them with another pair of Supalites. My new boots have the most dangerous and slippery soles of any walking books I have ever worn. As soon as it rains rocks, stones even ordinary paving slabs become hazardous. Certainly not suitable for hiking trekking, or even walking to work in. Very disappointing and a waste of a substantial sum of money.

My Brasher Lites Are Old Friends. 6 Years Old And
My Brasher lites are old friends. 6 years old and still going very strong. Wear them a day a week and for all big walking trips, two or three a year.
I like the look, the feel and they keep my feet dry in all weathers.
Occasionally I'd like to justify buying some new boots in some groovy fabric or colour but I cannot find any boots more comfortable.

To Begin With My Brasher Ladies Supalite Gtx Were
To begin with my Brasher Ladies Supalite GTX were very comfortable. Very happy with them for 2 years, about 1 day per week use on average.
After 2 days constant rain while walking, camping, not able to dry them out: soft leather lining to both heels disintegrated, the damaged surfaces taking the skin off both my heels.
Result: walking holiday terminated, just as the sun came out!
BEWARE: NOT RECOMMENDED FOR WALKING IN THE RAIN i.e. IN BRITAIN.

I Have Had The Brasher Ladies Supalite Gtx Boots R
I have had the Brasher Ladies Supalite GTX boots resoled three times less than two years and they are only worn ,on average, once per week.. A new Brasher sole fitted lasted less than a wee k on the C2C walk before the studs on the sole started collapsing and tearing.
Buy Meindl or the like.
