Peter Lester Golf Coach, Vilamoura, Algarve

My game has not been good this winter, seem to have developed a randomness in the swing which means my shots are inconsistent to say the least (excellent shot, hooked left, blocked right would easily describe three consecutive shots!). I had booked a short golf break to the Algarve and someone recommended I try to tie up a couple of golf lesson with PGA Professional Peter Lester whilst I was there (www.lesters-golf.com). Well, within five minutes Peter had identified that my right hand was too 'strong'

on the grip and that my swing was too fast (introducing the randomness).

Weakening my right hand (by holding the club more along the fingers rather than the palm) sorted out most of my problems, then Peter turned to my tendency to 'snatch' the club at the top of the swing (don't know where that came from!). By the end of the lessons (I had four hours worth) Peter had introduced a level of consistency back into my swing and given me a few exercises to take away with me to ensure I kept practicing the right things and not reinforcing the wrong things! Would I recommend Peter Lester?

Definitely! He has an easy manner, the skills and experience to teach golfers of all abilities (everyone from children to touring professionals).

If you're in Vilamoura book yourself a golf lesson or two with Peter, I don't believe you'll regret it.
