Prosimmon Icon Tour Forged

I bought a set of Prosimmon X9's and I love them, beautiful bag well made clubs at a great price. I find the balance took a bit to get used to at first but once I did , I hit the ball much farther and more consistant. I have a few friends that have bought them and we all agree you have to get used to the balance at first because of the counter weight on the bottem of the driver but once you do wow can you hit it far. I have played for 30 years and I have never hit a ball as far as I hve with the X9's

the driver is a poorly made.huge peices of pooh. the rest of the clubs are ok for a true beginner and after a couple of months and after you break the driver you need to buy a better one. irons are ok and the woods are ok too. really the best part of this set is the bag if it didnt say prosimmons. so in the short if you buy this set buy a good driver and you'll be ok for a while.

I will start with the facts. I have never played golf prior to a month ago. I took three 1 hour sessions with an instructor and i purchased this set after my second lesson. He told me what I needed to look for in a beginning set. Plus 1 inch ( i'm 6'4") and they had to be stiff flex. This set had it at a price I could afford. After using standard lenth clubs, the prosimmons X9 felt great. I have a lot of confidence in my irons. The hybrids and woods i am still a work in progress. For what its worth i don't feel like a beginner on the course and i love to go out and work on my swing with this set. They are well worth the price.

I purchased 2 sets of Prosimmon icon pro forged stainless steel clubs as starter sets, one mens and one ladies. the driver of the womens set split after four months of use and the head separated from the shaft on the 3/4 hybrid of the womens set. The mens driver shaft broke off at the club head on the mens set after 6 months of use. These are very inferior clubs even for starter sets. I would never recommend these clubs for anyone.

The smaller sweet spot than your average cavity back makes them less forgiving but if you can play these irons you will be rewarded every time
