Durable Golf Shoe

I have just put my first pair of dryjoys in the bin after 6 years. I've had them since 2007. The right shoe was no longer waterproof but then again I think I only cleaned them half a dozen times. Considering I play 2 or 3 times a week in the north ish of England (Leeds), that's not bad going for a pair of golf shoes. I've replaced them with a pair of contour series velcro (can't stand laces) and this time I'm going to look after them a bit better.

After Playing Golf Twice A Week (or Less) For Less

After playing golf twice a week (or less) for less than 15 months, my DryJoys split on the outside right shoe where the leather joins the sole; about 10cm long split! Contacted Acushnet Europe Ltd (FootJoy) sent them my shoes and they returned them telling me that it was 'normal wear and tear'. Ridculous!! Won't be buying FootJoys again!!

I Bought A Pair Of Dryjoys About 18 Months Ago But

I bought a pair of Dryjoys about 18 months ago but the professional shop had to send them back as the Joy of Dryness applied to only one of the shoes. The replacement pair were fine for a few months, of 1 to 2 rounds a week, but by 6 months had also started to let damp in and now, after a year, the sole is clearly starting to separate from the upper shoe. This is very disappointing as the Footjoys I had before were excellent and lasted for years.

I Previously Owned A Pair Of Dryjoys Which I Purch

I previously owned a pair of dryjoys which I purchased almost 10 years ago. As I recall, the right toe leather began to peel immediately after a month's use. I wore them rarely and last week the bottom molding broke off. This could be due to the age of the shoes, but I wore them less than 15 times total. I bought a new pair of dryjoys this past week for a bargain price. Footjoys don't have an athletic appearance which I prefer. I recommend trying on the shoes before purchasing because they can run slightly narrower than Adidas or other brands. They fit like shoes and not sneakers and provide comfort with traction. Quality materials, and a smart classy look seals the deal. My only qualm is durability as the previous dryjoys came apart after little use.

Footjoy Shoes In General, Dryjoys In Particular, C

Footjoy shoes in general, Dryjoys in particular, cannot be beaten for comfort, style, value and long lasting playability. Some of my Dryjoys have lasted 10-15 years! No lie! I currently have a pair of Classics that are over 15 years old. Footjoys are the best, bar none.
