Boots Only Lasted A Winter Thats All
I purchased these boots size 11 but they only lasted 1 winter. The buckle fastner came away and the boots split at the seam fold very soon after on either boot. Repairs ineffective so just be aware, very poor quality. You will only get a winter out of them. They looked the business at first but really not for the British winter.

Stuburt Winter Boots Fit For Purpose?
these have to be the worst boots I've ever had, first winter was very good with dry feet. Boots were thoroughly cleaned waxed with dubbin and stored.
Second winter boots leaked (both of them) uppers letting go of the soles on the instep.....several people at my club complained of the same thing.
Will never buy another pair and advise you not to either...

I Bought My First Pair From An Ebay Supplier In De
I bought my first pair from an ebay supplier in December 2007. They leaked within 10 rounds and 2 straps broke so were replaced under guarantee. I emailed Stuburt and got no response. I have today 9 January 2009 had to abandon the second pair for exactly the same reason after using them only since the beginning of December.

As An Alternative To Wearing Golf Wellies Or Putti
As an alternative to wearing golf wellies or putting up with your ordinary golf shoes getting a soaking the Stuburt Hydro Dry boots are a great choice. The high boot fitting takes a little getting familiar with but the fit is very good, a little stiffer than a golf shoe but still OK for 18 holes with no signs of fatigue, I went up one size so that I can use a full on hiking sock plus a liner sock for very cold days. The three velcro fastening straps make for a good fit and the flexible tongue helps to keep the boot from feeling too stiff on your shinbones when walking. I have used my pair for four very wet and muddy rounds so far this year (2008) and I would not swap them. The sole is a proper golf shoe sole and is fitted with soft spikes so you should have no issues with your local greenkeeper. The boots clean very easily with some warm water and stiff brush.Good choice if you want to be playing in the UK winter conditions.
