What A Shambles
What a shambles. My three day trip with mum was cancelled due to Covid 19 which is understandable, and although disappointing it wasn't a problem. Until it came to trying to get a refund!!!
I have tried five different phone numbers on countless occasions with no answer. I have also tried to email them four times with no reply. The customer service is shocking beyond belief and i will never book with this company again.
Not even a text message to say they would be in touch soon to try and sort things out.
Hotel Pueblo Benidorm
Fab holiday,remember you get what you pay for. 7 days in sunshine (March), flights, transfers, 3 excellent meals a day. Excellent excellent holiday for the money £325 each. I always go with David Urquhart and make an allowance for mistakes/errors. Can't wait til my next holiday with them. Outstanding value for money. WELL DONE DAVID URQUHART :-)

Great 3 Day Trip To Largs
Returned last week from a most enjoyable 3 day break, the Willowbank Hotel was ideal with comfortable rooms and great food,staff couldn't have been more pleasant or accommodating. Our coach driver made the trip even more enjoyable with his interaction and care of his passengers.

Locks Glens And Oban
Went on this trip last month(may)Never travelled with David Urquhart before but would certainly use them again. Hotel a little dated but spotlessly clean. All meals were enjoyable. Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Our coach driver was brilliant. Scotland was beautiful will certainly be back again. Thanks for a lovely 5 days.

Once again it was Enjoyed by everyone involved.

Stinking Coach
we travelled to Scotland for the military tattoo. The coach started to smell of raw sewage after about two hours into a nine hour journey. it was obvious the toilet hadn't been emptied before the journey. we all had to sit there with scarfs or hats against our noses. A women passenger sprayed her deodorant every now and then. The driver said he couldn't empty the toilet. He bought an air freshener from the services. A disgusting long journey from start to finish. Never again David Urquhart. Avoid. Don't even consider them.
Allocated "designated Smoking Rooms" In Britannia Stockport
My friend and I paid an extra £20 each for single rooms on the Chatsworth Flower Show trip. We were given "Designated Smoking Rooms" where the smell of smoke was overpowering. On complaining to the manager, we were told no other rooms were available and there was nothing to be done as all other hotels in the area were full due to big events that weekend.
We complained to David Urquhart on our return and asked for compensation. They refused to compensate, saying we should have complained directly to them. The ticket clearly states that problems at the hotel should be referred to the hotel manager. They also said we had not specifically asked for a non-smoking room and that the situation could arise again! Who knew that smoking was allowed in hotel bedrooms? The hotel website states all rooms are "non-smoking".
Eventually David Urquhart offered us £15 each off a future trip as "a goodwill gesture". I would never travel with this company again so their gesture is worthless. Unless you want to damage your health in a very unpleasant atmosphere, DON'T TRAVEL WITH DAVID URQUHART.
Trecarn Hotel Torquay
The Trecarn Hotel was an absolute disgrace. It is a health and safety and health and hygiene risk to all concerned, and should not be trading.
In Our 70s And Never Been To Spain:- Just Returned
In our 70s and never been to Spain:- Just returned from a fantastic 7 nights at the Regente Hotel-Benidorm. From our 9th (top)floor room we had a good vista of the area. The Regente hotel is modern and clean. A good variety of meals almost every day, and very efficient restaurant team. Thank you to the housekeeping staff for keeping our room clean and tidy. The poolside was kept spotless ( I had a nice leisurely swim ). The lovely people at reception were very pleasant and informative. this is a fantastic hotel and a 10-minute walk to the (long) promenade - all on the "flat" --great. Right from the very kind people at Glasgow airport / EasyJet to the same kindness at Alicante airport. We have been several times now with "David Urquhart", and have always had excellent choices, service, and value for money - many thanks. ---- Regente is a hotel we would go back to again. ---- Thank you D.U sky travel. -----------

Does anyone know how I go about getting a refund for a trip I was due to take in July 2020? I haven't seen any information since the winding up of the company.
I've just booked a mystery 5 day break, I had to paid £30 extra for a single room, just wondering where people have ended up please? Thanks
Do you have to sit beside other passengers at mealtimes?
It all depends on the hotel you are staying in and the number of guests on the holiday. There have been a few times I've paired up with another guest and other times when I'm sitting on my own. I've even been sat with the driveron other occasions. I think if you asked, they would let you sit on your own. They do prefer for people to remain at the same table they are first sat at.
You are on holiday so you want to enjoy yourself and, to be honest, I've often been on my own and just as often sat with others. I didn't mind sitting with others. They won't be strangers for long if you are sat with others. It's lonely on your own and I always bring my Kindle to occupy myself on my own. Given the choice, I would prefer sitting with others. Hope this helps.

We are 4 adults who will be traveling to Torquay on the21st August and are worried about the reviews on the Burlington and Ashley court hotels, has anybody got an honest opinion on these hotels as we are going with a david urquhart 5 day trip

Never been to Torquay, so unable to help. Hope you are satisfied with your trip, but do not expect any help from Customer Relations if the trip does not come up to expectations. We booked trip to Ireland and driver had never been before, did not have a route map. Went to local Sherrif Court on four occasions and D.U. Did pay us £100, which we immediately donated to Save the Children. No apology was forthcoming. Hotel, Buncrana Gateway was excellent and visit to Giants Causeway good. Read our report....tour August 2015, if interested.
Anyone on N.Ireland tour on 10th August 2015 - 15 months ago. On Inishowen Peninsula Tour did the bus stop and passengers get off before arriving in Londonderry?
Can anyone tell me which hotels David Urquhart use for the trip to Emmerdale magic travelling from Edinburgh? Am wary of booking in case it would be the dreaded Norbreck castle in Blackpool.
