We had used Elegant Resorts for two trips to Dubai through Emirates Holidays and our experience was very good

We then wanted to visit New York and Boston and was introduced to one of their North American experts who really only had to recommend an airline as we had chosen the hotels ourselves despite some of their recommendations. They chose American from Manchester and we went economy on the outward flight and business on the flight overnight

The outward flight was like a 90s package holiday, no booked seats so we spent 7 hours with no back of the seat entertainment, no windows being sat at the back of the plane next to the toilets and galley .Not very elegant I can assure you. We duly completed their survey about the holiday and made mention of the outward flight. We have not heard a dickey bird from them.

We then tried them again for Dubai and a promised upgrade rom the lady who had done so well for us (she was ill we were told).The promised upgrade wasn't necessarily available until nearer the date of the holiday so we decided to go elsewhere and booked direct with Emirates which was easy and cheaper. We told them out of courtesy we weren't proceeding with them but again no response or acknowledgement.

Seems they are more focused on perception than experience

This company is a joke - they seem to think they have a monopoly on being able to recommend good resorts and obviously use this belief to calculate their prices. They are also very derogatory about other agents which is very unprofessional. My advise is to shop around as many other agents are willing to listen to YOUR requirements for a holiday and can be significantly more competitive with prices.

I have used Elegant Resorts over the years for many destinations, mostly in Thailand, Seychelles and Dubai and on many occasions.

They consistently competitive (I normally get 3 quotations for a major a holiday), very knowledgeable - one can alway talk to somebody who has been there - and, once booked, one can assume that everything runs smoothly, which it always does.

They have a first call policy, which is refreshing in these days of endless levels of option of automated menus, and the first person to whom you speak is also on the ball.

I have never had any problems with a holiday booked with them and, were there to be one, I would feel confident that they would sort it out. When, for example, we had the volcano in 2010 and I was due to travel to The Seychelles they were the only travel company I could get any sense and communication from. Everybody else was overwhelmed.

It is often the case that you find out how a company looks after their customers when there's a problem and after a traumatic experience when our holiday went badly wrong the reassurance of the staff at Elegant Resorts dealing with our honeymoon turned nightmare was nothing short of outstanding from start to finish. Used Elegant Resorts for first time, to travel on our first family holiday (with toddler and baby) to Sixth Senses resort in North Oman beginning of December... they secured the best price (we could find after much research) for the trip and offered a problem free, highly professional service, really quick to respond to all email queries and requests and great facilitator between us and the hotel. We had one criticism with our hotel regarding transfer to Dubai, and they have already, escalated, responded to us in writing.. well in hand. We look forward to using ER for our next luxury holiday..

I booked with Elegant Resorts for my honeymoon last year. From the initial phone call I was very impressed.Nothing was too much trouble and the consultant arranged everything from flowers and champagne in our room to the various trips we went on during our honeymoon, she even booked the best table in the restaurant we wanted to eat in whilst we were there! I would highly recommend them and will certainly be using Elegant Resorts for my next holiday!

I always book my holidays trough Elegant Resorts and find their product knowledge and expertise to be second to none. I always get to speak to somebody who has actually been to my chosen hotel. I have always had terrific holidaies with them and have always been completely looked after from start to finish. Nothing is too much trouble for their wonderful staff and on the odd occasion when things have not been 100% perfect they have always been right on the case and go beyond the call of duty to sort things out for me.

Elegant Resorts have been in this game a long time and it really shows, they really know how to look after their clients.

They are not always the cheapest but I am always happy to spend a little bit extra to deal with a company I trust but if I can';t afford one of their holidays then browsing their brochures perk me up a bit or browsing all the lovely photos on their website (www.elegantresorts.co.uk)

The staff at Elegant Resorts are wonderful and extremely helpful, doing their utmost to meet the needs of the customer.

The hotel selection includes some of the best in the world.

Very personal feel to the service.
