Avoid Do Not Use This Company

Terrible company and terrible service. Avoid at all cost. They mislead with False information on the website and then lie when questioned.

They will not make you aware of any changes to the hotels once booked. They are rude when you call. The manager apparently far to important to take calls from customers.

I have had to escalate my complaint to Abta. Whether something will be done I am not sure, however all I can do is make sure I avoid anyone else experiencing the same as what we have for a family holiday, and if I can stop them in receiving a booking then I will be pleased.

Best at Travel and Destinology is who I would highly recommend and they price match.

Poor Complaint Resolution And Service Failure

Despite a relatively easy booking process, the provision of an important Airport Transfer to the booked resort (some 2hrs away) didn't materialise and we were left at the Airport stranded. Several calls to the number on paperwork eventually found a local representative who claimed he knew nothing about us and there was no transfer booked. When pressed, he agreed to try and "find a driver". Without detailing the ensuing dramas, suffice to say we didn't arrive at our resort for some hours and were stressed and quite traumatised by the end of the journey. This was certainly not "Luxury" travel.

A complaint (immediately next day) to Kenwood Travel in the UK revealed that they had been negligent in arranging the transfer and responded to follow-up emails with arrogance and a complete lack of appreciation for the experience we had endured or their culpability in the matter. The resulting intransigence has left a 'bitter taste' that will ensure we don't use Kenwood Travel

Disabled Daughters Boyfriend In Major Accident Was

Disabled daughters boyfriend in major accident was pulled from Barbados holiday by parents, we then cancelled him but were told by Kenwood that they would keep his place open in case he was able to join us after all. Months later he felt able to come along so Kenwood were informed.. Rude and unhelpful member of staff says he was cancelled, and the hotel now had no room or bed for him so wanted £3000 to add him back on. Heartbroken disabled daughter begs me to please sort out holiday. I call the hotel DIRECT to be informed that Kenwood had lied and that we had already paid for a family suite for 6 anyway,(not what Kenwood told me), so adding him was not a problem. They then offered him a 35% discount due to the circumstances and after calling BA for flights and transfers we managed £1200 all inclusive..Disgusting..The second time we have used Kenwood with problems.. Go direct..

Beware Of Kenwood Travel

I would never recommend using this company if you are the kind of person who likes updates on your booking and someone there to speak to in case you would like to make any small changes. Originally I spoke to Dipak who gave an amazing sell of the high priced package and ensured I could easily contact him again if needed. However of course Dipak was non-existent after I had made a payment and no matter how many times I phoned or left messages. I never heard from him again.

They got the transfers on our booking wrong on a number of occasions and I had to chase and chase endlessly. In addition my meal requirements were not taken into account (I emailed them many times about this) so I ended up skipping my meal on the flight. When originally booking we were assured our seats would be together on the upper deck of the Malaysian airline flight - on the way there it was absolutely fine but on the way back we didn't even have a seat together. My fiance ended up having to speak to Malaysian airlines on the phone for 45 mins to sort this out himself (followed by a high phone bill). I'm guessing they didn't make the return seat reservations in time and didn't bother updating us on this!

Since receiving the documents for our trip we have had no follow up or further contact, they ignored my emails whilst I was away so in the end I just gave up with them.

Overall, our holiday was amazing - but this wasn't down to them. Kenwood travel are rude, disorganised and only after your money! Don't expect a service once you have made your payment.

Awful Company And Service!!!

Due to travel to Barbados for Christmas on the December 2016 to the Sands Hotel (new build- completion date was August 2016).

Concerns started in August (estaimted completion date) when a friend of ours was actually in Barbados and said they had seen the hotel and it was no where near completion and a total construction site!! In the meantime, our other friends wanted to join us in the Sand Hotel but they were finding it difficult to book as other company's took it off their webpage (obviously as it clearly was not ready)...

So we told them to book it with Kenwood travel as they were still advertising it on their website. They called them and was told that the hotel hopefully will be finished by October but not looking good for Christmas, so our friend passed this on to us considering we had already booked this in April 2016.

We then decided to send a email asking about this and was told it should be ready by October 16th but to call back before we pay our balance.

We then got the call to say it will not be ready and to look for other hotels within reason. We were actually given a list of alternative hotels by an employee at Kenwood, one of which was Turtle beach but we were told we cannot have this one even though they had already offered it to us!

Called back AGAIN and spoke to another employee at Kenwood, who advised that we could not have our chosen alternative due to availability. He then suggested a hotel called Sugar Bay- We said yes to this hotel but then was told we have to pay £2200 EXTRA!

We have been completely mis- sold a holiday by Kenwood and the customer service is absolutely appalling.

We have been waiting and saving nearly all year for this holiday in a BRAND NEW luxury hotel to be told a couple of months before it would not be ready and we have to settle for less! The only hotel they offered us at no cost was called Mango Bay- I advise anyone to look at this and the Sands and compare the two- how can they expect us to be happy with this in the slightest- it is also a different side of the island where we purposesly did not choose in the first place.

Kenwood have caused so much inconvenience for us and have not compensated appropriately. We would not recommend this travel company to anyone.

Never Use Them

If I could give no starts I would... So I guess the 1star would be not waiting for long to speak to anyone on the phone.

Myself and my friend booked a holiday to the Sands Barbados via Kenwood Travel. On receiving notification from local residents that the hotel will not be ready in time n informing Kenwood Travel of this and supplying them pictures. They are refusing to acknowledge this n are being unrealistic that it will be finished in time. There level of customer service is repugnant. For example I was told that "I was being silly " by Russell Fleming a manager. This speaks 1,000 words about professionalism. I will never book with them!!!!!

Worst Experience I Have Ever Had In My Life!!!!!!!

My experience with this company has been dreadful!!

I have never come across a more unorganised travel agents who completely messed up my holiday experience, made promises they could not stick to and lied throughout. This company is a complete shambles. The staff are extremely arrogant and rude, clearly have no customer service skills, they shout down the phone and should all be sacked. I WARN YOU DO NOT USE THEM. Bluddy joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friendly, Helpful And Great Value!!

I was passed contact details for Abbie at Kenwood Travel by a colleague who had recommended her to me after travelling to Florida with Kenwood. I contacted Abbie and she was extremely helpful and found a great deal for me and my girlfriend to Orlando for 14 nights including flights with Virgin Atlantic, hotel stay close to all the theme parks and transfers to and from Orlando International Airport. A further bonus was that this deal was much cheaper than anything I had found previously and everything went off without a hitch during our holiday.

I paid an initial deposit to secure the booking with Kenwood and didn't have to pay the full balance until 8 weeks before the holiday.

We had a brilliant time and I would definitely use Kenwood Travel again and will definitely contact them in future for our holidays.

Thanks again to the agent who made the whole process as easy as possible.
