Rude Customer Service

I had to cancel my holidays and I’ve been told that I would get the refund for the rails but not for the hotel. But then they offered less than the money I paid for the train tickets. Never again.

Avoid Superbreak At All Costs!

Please read this review and avoid SuperBreak for any planned trips. I booked with this company 7 months in advance of my planned trip so everything could be arranged early, to avoid disappointment. The trip was a special celebration, was important to me and included rail travel instead of flights, for something different. We were very specific about requirements and SuperBreak completely failed to deliver this remit. A special trip was completely ruined before it even started due to SuperBreak incompetence. They made no effort to make up for their shortcomings despite numerous phone calls to get things sorted. Don't ruin your holiday plans. Go elsewhere.

How To Waste A Well Intentioned Gift

Superbreak needs renaming Superconbreak. Only eleven hotels to choose from throughout Britain and only couple within feasible travelling distance for duration of one night only in Midlands. Had to be booked on certain nights only and two weeks in advance and were always fully booked on dates we were able to go, as my husband has been undergoing operations and treatment for cancer all year, and to extend costs £20. Impossible to speak to anyone directly about problems booking. One hotel in reality cost £55 when voucher had cost £100. Ended up swapping to cheaper pub break and losing £16 pounds. It turned out to be like a night at Fawlty Towers and was yards away from main railway line. It was dated and worn. Our bedside lamps were broken, hooks missing so curtain hung off rail, wardrobe creaked with every step on floor, mould on shower and not even a box of tissues or any sign of luxury and they wanted an extra £8 for having a twin room needed because of my husband's condition (which they did waver when I expressed my disgust). Breakfast felt like a complete shambles, no teaspoons or side plate and the sausage worryingly barely cooked. We have stayed in many hotels and guest houses and have had better accommodation at a Days Inn in the South for £49.

You Rely On These Websites To Provide You With Goo

You rely on these websites to provide you with good value for money and it is cheaper to book your packages separately. Disgusted in the fact that they label their packages as ‘special offers’ when you go on the official websites for the hotels and excursions and they are cheaper there. I will not be using this site again and I suggest no one else does either.

2x The Price Of Booking Direct

No value provided whatsoever. For package deals, they attempt to get away with non-itemised billing to try to hide their extreme markups. The 100% Non-refundable policy you'll notice on their website's hotel listings is clearly their policy, not the hotels'. Book your two-day and three-day breaks DIRECT. Use SB and other sites like it to search for specific hotels but be wary of booking anything through them. The hotel will often give you a much better room rate and perks – and they're much more likely to give you a 100% refund/cancellation guarantee at no extra costs to you, even up to a day before your date of arrival. Never again for us. Speaking with them directly yields nothing, they are inflexible about any ill-gotten gains. You've earned all these bad reviews, SuperBreaks!

Refers To Welcombe Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon.

Have since made written omplaints about the service in my booking and stay at the Hallmark Welcombe hotel, Stratford Upon Avon, between Friday 20th January 2017 to Sunday 22nd January 2017.

1. Despite my clear written booking request for there to be a twin bedded room we were given a room with a double bed.

2. When I queried the incorrect double bed room with the hotel reception, I was immediately told that they had got my booking down as a double room before verifying the original booking. This was further humiliating to me because it made me wonder if I had booked a double room or indeed if Super Break had conveyed the correct twin bed details to the hotel.

3. The hotel receptionist agreed with my request for her to escalate my complaint to the hotel management but there was no response from them to me.

4. The twin bedded room we were then given needed time for the staff to make up the beds.

5. The twin bedded room allocated to us was considerably inferior to the double bedded room the hotel gave us, as it was much smaller and had less pleasing views.

6. Despite my written request for a quiet room we were given a twin bedded room 318 next to a noisy main air-conditioning unit. The noise level was terribly exasperated by being put in a noisy part next to a room of young women who were talking until around 3am which kept us awake. I went down to the hotel reception at 2am and reported this to the Hotel Night Manager and although he then went and spoke to the young women concerned in their hotel room about this, the noise persisted. I should not have to drive 150 miles home in a car the next day on a total of around 2 hours sleep.

7. Despite the Super Break team advertising that the first night's evening meal was included in the hotel tariff I had paid, on checking out a hotel receptionist gave me a written bill demanding an extra £70 for this meal. The £70 additional amount was later entirely removed following my complaint and a rectified invoice was issued.
