Avoid

double booked my hotel and rang me at the airport to say hotel had been changed - luxury spa hotel to average family hotel.

Avoid, avoid, will never use again. Don't trust them.

Brochure 4 Years Out Of Date

Just to warn anyone looking at their brochures. Ignore the prices as the brochures were actually printed in 2020 before the pandemic.i went in for a quote and found cost was actually double wat was in the brochure. I was not informed of this wen given the brochures.

Took Money In Full For A Short Notice Holiday. Abo

Took money in full for a short notice holiday. About three minutes after paying called and said that booking was cancelled as it was short notice and that I had paid over phone. Money has been taken from bank account. They had the front to ask for a money transfer for the holiday after already taking nearly £5000 from the bank card

Over one week now and money still NOT returned to account

They lie. He said money was refunded straight away

When I spoke with a woman she said money had not been refunded

She said money was refunded on the 1st September

Money got taken out on the 26th August

Avoid like coronavirus. Do NOT trust

Travelbag are great... before you give them your money. They're currently holding over £3,000 of my money for a planned trip last year and the only people that will engage me now are commission-chasing salespeople. Take their assurances with a pinch of salt and don't expect there to be customer service team when things go wrong - just more salesmen. Interestingly after advising me to buy and ultimately selling me BA flights, their tone post-sale towards BA changed entirely, where they proceeded to tell me that they're useless and that I should have booked with Emirates/anyone else. Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere.

Never Use This Company

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY They withheld from us that they were rescheduling /refunding customers holidays more than two weeks prior to the 10 March due to covid -19. Apparently its our fault for not asking even though we were told cancellation was the only option.

Do Not Book

I understand covid19 has been terrible for companies but just as difficult for consumers. We booked a £11000 holiday with travelbag for my daughters wedding which was cancelled due to Coronavirus. Travelbag should be ashamed with the way they have handled this. They basically are refusing to refund our money even though they have a legal requirement to give us a refund. They are trying everything they can including ignoring customer contact to avoid giving customers the refund they are entitled too. They are trying to remove all negative comments from review sites and their Facebook page.

Cheap But With A Bad Twist

When you buy something from discounters you should know what the trap is.

In this case this travel agency charge you really high cancellation fees from the moment you pay money.

Yes their prices are good but their claim about lowest prices and price match is quite misleading.

They are not the cheapest - immediately after I booked quite an expensive hotel I found it 5% cheaper on the other discounter site. And they had free cancelation option.

But it was impossible to cancel it with Travelbag for free. They charge 35% cancellation fee immediately. They do not offer anything without cancellation fees- it mean they just put it in their pocket. Also information about fees they hide in their T&C and you receive it in confirmation email after the purchase. It is not Really transparent so obvious that this is their strategy.

So it looks like they cash well from these fees.

My advice-

Think twice before booking. If you want to save some money- check other discounters and compare sites for hotels. And if there is even a small chance that you might not go- book somewhere else. Even discounters like Stayforlonger offer fee free cancelation period.

Not The Best

Booked with travel bag a couple of times always had fantastic service.

Not this time booked for next April 2019 no communication absolutely useless.

Rang to ask if this could arrange a hotel before our cruise, eventually got back to us with random hotels miles away from cruise port.

I realise we must have a very junior adviser but emailed head office no reply.

Although we have had great service before must say your only as good as your last experience.

We have never used Travelbag before but would very much like to say thanks to them following ourholiday in January to Hua Hin Thailand. We booked the holiday over the phone paid deposit but paid balance inthe Knutsford branch. The holiday went very smoothly the transfers were prompt and very professional also the rep at Hua Hin was a credit to the company. Thankyou once again Travelbag will looking at booking fir next January with Travelbag

2nd Time To Phuket

Haved used Travelbag twice travelling to Thailand.From first contact they were very proffesional. Flights were at a good time for us,Transfers were very good and on time.I would recommend to everyone.

We travelled with them from Heathrow to Las Vegas in September 2012 with BA staying at the Venetian hotel. We were delayed coming back at airport for over three hours and I believe I can claim compensation from the airline. We do not have our flight details, but we travelled business class on September 18th I believe, is it possible that they still have details so we can make a claim?
