Turkey Travel Centre arranged a local private 1 day tour for us in Cappadocia (we flew in for the day from Istanbul). It was a memorable experience. We were met at the airport and visited all the amazing sites for a full day before being returned to the airport. The guide was very knowledgeable and the driver drove safely over some long distances. We didn't waste our time being driven to shops. Arranging the tour through an Australian-based agency gave us the peace-of-mind that were weren't simply dealing with a dodgy non-existent company in Turkey. It's a bit more expensive but less stressful.

From our initial enquiry to Turkey Travel Centre through to our farewells on our way home, our trip to Turkey more than exceeded our expectations.

The transport organised was professional and punctual, the boutique hotels exceptional, our wonderful guide amazing ........ and then there was Turkey - stunning, spectacular, historic, warm and friendly. We had 2 days on our own in Istanbul before joining our tour which afforded us the opportunity to spread our wings - on foot of course - exploring and discovering. We then met our guide and headed off on our adventure. Our guide was so knowledgeable and really loved his job. We learnt so much whilst travelling through the beautiful country and we were afforded plenty of time to explore on our own as well. The Ancient History we so loved at school suddenly became real and our 2 days spend on the Battlefields of Gallipoli was definitely a moving and emotional experience. We could not fault any of the arrangements made - whilst professional in every way, Turkey Travel Centre was also extremely caring and respectful - always putting their clients first. I have no hesitation in recommending this Company to anyone considering a trip to this amazing Country and beyond - thank you all for making us so welcome.

For people who are thinking of travelling to Turkey for the first time – or for return trip, we highly recommend the very professional and capable services of Turkey Travel Centre. At all times we felt safe and in good hands. The team is customer focussed and has an excellent service mentality.

We were very impressed with the way that Turkey Travel Centre team organised our 10 day custom tour of the Black Sea and surrounds.

The pre-trip service from Australia was efficient, timely and hassle free.

Our guide in Turkey was excellent. He was flexible with our arrangements which we appreciated greatly, tweaking our itinerary as he understood our interests.

His suggestions transformed the itinerary that we had devised into a truly unforgettable insight into this area of Turkey.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable with regard to a huge range of subjects – history, religion, anthropology, local customs and art. His explanations and communications about what we were seeing were interesting and relevant.

He was an excellent ambassador for Turkey, and helped us appreciate the rich culture and warmth of the Turkish people and society.

His rapport with us and with the people we encountered – the man who made us a local speciality 'menemen', the man who proudly took us for a tour of the tea processing factory, the men who gave us white roses at the autostop – warmed our hearts and spirits.

We were left with a very positive and enriching experience due to our guide's exceptional experience and skills.

Just a short note to say how much we very much enjoyed our holiday in Turkey. Some key things we learned about Turkey:

· Turkey is as safe as any other European city. At no stage did we feel unsafe, uncertain or vulnerable. In fact we felt very safe. There was a good security presence at key points: airport and tourist attractions, which we found comforting. Nor was the security presence overwhelming to the point that it made travel difficult. We were in Turkey during the recent referendum and we saw no protests or demonstrations. The day after the referendum was just another day in this wonderful country.

· The food is amazing. We loved the food and there was lots of it! The BBQ’ed lamb, beef and chicken was delicious. The seafood at Kuşadashi was fresh and cooked over a hot grill Turkish style. The vegetables were fresh and tender, and the fruit (especially the oranges) juicy and to die for. We have never tasted Turkish delight like that which we found in the spice bazaar in Istanbul.

· Turkey has a rich and diverse culture and history. If you are interested in Greek, Roman, Byzantium, Christian and Islamic history, go to Turkey. Sitting astride the Silk Road, Turkey is a rich confluence of history and culture. We could spend months in Istanbul walking the back streets absorbing the rich history of this wonderful city. The Greek and Roman ruins of Ephesus, Troy, Pergamon and PMD are breathtaking.

· Turkey is very cheap. Hotels, food, transport are all very cheap by Australian standards. Daily living costs in most of Turkey was less than $AUS50 per person.

· The transport system is modern and very easy to use. We caught a modern air-conditioned bus from Istanbul to Eceabat, and later a Turkish Airlines domestic flight from Denizli to Istanbul. Services were prompt, clean and very professional. The internal flight was as good as any flight between Sydney to Melbourne flying Qantas.

· Most importantly, the people are incredibly warm and likeable. They have a natural affinity with Australians, not so much for our shared military experience, but we seem to share good nature and optimism.

The team at TTC helped us pull together a trip to the Aegean and Istanbul which was truly memorable. We were fortunate to be privately guided on most days. The standard of guides in Turkey is very high. All were university educated, spoke beautiful English and were lovely people. The guides were a key element to our wonderful holiday. The accommodation booked by TTC was four star, modern, clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed the accommodation in Istanbul at the Dosso Dossi within walking distance of the historical old city sites.

Most importantly, we are determined to return to Turkey as we believe that this was one of the best holidays we ever experienced.

It was enhanced by yourself, Mehmet and Ihsan. Your organisation, knowledge, prompt responses and helpfulness was fantastic.

We also loved Mehmet (at the end of our tour, explaining that a tip was not necessary as he loved his job). One of our pet hates is the tipping at the end of a tour.

As for the trip, it was exceptional value for money, so full on and so full of amazing experiences.

We would have liked an extra day on the way down the coast, just to enjoy one of the towns and a wander around the real places. The experiences of Cappadocia were just awesome. We enjoyed everything.

Thank you for organizing our Turkey tour, we have had an amazing time, have seen beautiful sights and met some lovely people.

All the accommodation was great with all staff very friendly and accommodating and we would happily stay at any of these hotels again. They were all in great locations as we were able to walk from the hotel to some great restaurants and shopping areas. The staff at the Sokullu Pasa Hotel in Istanbul were very helpful after the terrorist bombing at the airport ,checking with pickups and the airport to make sure all was ok. A sad ending to our trip but this would not put us off going back to such a beautiful, friendly country. Our Show in Istanbul was cancelled due to lack of people but we were compensated with a lovely meal.

All pickups were punctual and all the guides very friendly, they spoke English very clearly and had an amazing amount of knowledge.

Its very hard to have a favourite place as we loved all the places we went to but if we had to name any it would be Kas with its beautiful setting and Cappadocia. The balloon ride was amazing and what a fantastic place to do it.

In April the two of us spent two weeks touring Turkey on a guided drive. We firstly spent three days in Istanbul with one guide before being collected by our second guide in a late model car for our drive through Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamon, Ephesus, Konya, Pamukkale, Hierapolis, Cappadocia and Ankara before returning to Istanbul. Both guides were very considerate and kind towards to one of our party who had some mobility issues, one even buying a small collapsible seat. Both guides spoke well and knew the history of the ancient sites we visited. Throughout the trip the accommodation was first class and the local food was simply terrific.

We have no hesitation recommending the Turkey Travel Centre to all who are contemplating a visit to Turkey, the largest museum in the world.

Excellent service from initial enquiry to final day of holiday.We enjoyed 13 day Treasures of Turkey tour. Accomodation and transport was good. Turkish food is delicious. Tour guides well informed and eager to share their expertise. Very friendly people. Istanbul would have to be my favorite city ever visited.
