Hello All, I Want To Share My Vacation Experience
Hello All,
I want to share my vacation experience that I booked through ‘Yatra.Com’ by dated on 28th Mar’22 for my three days’ vacation starting from 14th Apr’22 to 17th Apri’22 (15 days in advance booking and full payment done in one single shot) for 2 families (4 Adults and 4 Kids). They gave me 2 days Shimla and 1 day Chandigarh tour package for INR 85,000.00. Below is my complete itinerary that they promised me in written - black & white (tour package document) as follows:
1. Delhi-Shimla-Chandigarh-Delhi entire tour via private AC Tempo Traveler.
2. Inclusive of all types of driver allowances, toll taxes, parking fees etc.
3. All sight seeing in Shimla and Chandigarh via AC tempo traveler.
Now, would share the twist, their commitment levels and behaviors as follows:
1. Two days before starting of my tour by dated on 12th Apr’22 evening Yatra operations team called me that AC Tempo Traveler is not available and they gave me 2 options and asked me confirm immediately:
a. Full tour via 2 separate cars.
b. 2 separate cars from Delhi to Chandigarh and Chandigarh to Shimla via AC tempo traveler.
2. They completely back off with their written commitment to give AC tempo traveler for entire ‘To & Fro’ trip. So, this was the 1st surprise from their end as my vacation had started to ruined now from this date onwards. My complete family and kids had planned to go together during these 3 days but this could not be happened because of these guys false commitments.
3. Then after lots of escalation via emails and talking with Yatra team, they committed me that I will get 2 Innova cars from Delhi to Chandigarh and AC tempo traveler from Chandigarh to Shimla by saying that this is a matter of 4-5 hours and kids have to compromise for these 4-5 hours only and once we reached to Chandigarh we will get AC tempo traveler.
4. One day before starting my trip on 13th Apr’22, was completely engaged with them by doing multiple follows ups and escalations via n’ numbers of emails. And they confirmed me one mobile number to talk to get my vehicles. When I dialed that number, I found that this was the owner of another sub-contractor ‘tour and taxi travels’. Anyways I talked to him asked 2 Innova cars at 6 AM on 14th Apr’22.
5. That tour and travels sent me 1 Ertiga and 1 Desire car at 8 AM and the worst part of it that both cars had CNG cylinder in their boot. So there was no space for our luggage. This was the 2nd and 3rd surprise from Yatra.Com end (wrong commitment of 2 Innova cars again with no space of luggage).
6. Somehow, we compromised again and started our journey to Chandigarh via these for the sake of cars by adjusting our luggage inside.
7. When we reached Chandigarh they gave us AC Tempo Traveler for Shimla ‘To & Fro’. Tempo was in worst condition and AC was not working properly (complete KHATARAA) and icing on cake was driver. He was fully unprofessional, money greedy person. He asked us parking money almost everywhere and his dinner amount as well. While, all was inclusive in our tour package as I mentioned above tour itinerary. This driver has a very basic mobile and did not know how to use google maps. Entire road, we were guiding him that here to move now there to move now. So, this was the 4th Surprise from Yatra.Com.
8. Somehow, we reached at 9:30 PM at Shimla via tempo. Our whole day passed into trip only. So, finally on 14th Apr’22 we did nothing except travel struggle.
9. On 15th Apr, we saw Adventure Resorts (New Kufri) and Zoo on the name of sightseeing.
10. On 16th Apr at 9:30 AM we left Shimla and move towards Chandigarh and in middle we cover Pinjore Garden as well. At, 1:30 PM we had reached to our Chandigarh Hotel and that driver left us by saying his company with us was till this point only. This was the 6th Surprise from Yatra.Com.
11. Then 2 PM onwards, I started to call our On-tour responsible, we got surprised that he had no clue about our tour itinerary and status at all. Then I explain all things to him and again begged him to send cars for Chandigarh sightseeing. He sent another tempo at 6:30 PM and biggest thing to know that by 7:00 PM all Chandigarh starts to get closed. So, we cover boating at Sukhna lake for 45 mins and post that driver dropped us Sector-17 Market. That was all on the name of sightseeing in Chandigarh.
12. Anyways that day also passed and on our last day 17th Apr’22 again I begged to send cars from our drop at Delhi. However, I had already conveyed our plan 1 day before to our On-Tour personal that we have to leave Chandigarh at 8 AM at any cost and asked to send 2 Innova cars as per our compromised deal. But, he sent again 1 Ertiga and 1 Desire at 11:30 AM. So, this was the 7th surprise from Yatra.Com.
13. Anyways, we compromised again and started our journey to home. But again one of our driver stopped one of our car at Mannat Dhaba by saying he is not paid hence he will not go further until he gets his full payment. Then again we struggled with lots of calls to tour & travels agent and our On-Tour agent and sort it out this matter. So, this was the 8th surprise from Yatra.
My Verdict about Yatra.Com :
1. Truly unprofessional, casual and adamant staff.
2. Expert in false commitments and lying at almost every step. Infact they will easily backoff with their words by giving everything in written.
3. Sales people will never pick your call post payment.
4. Operations team biggest liar.
5. On-Tour Coordinator also in same bucket. He has no awareness about people vacations, itineraries and tour details. NO coordination at all.
6. The biggest nightmare, Yatra.Com has no single number to call back for their customers. They people can call you anytime but you have no number to call back them except one single Email-ID. So, whole time you will pass your precious time to write emails to them. And whenever Yatra staff will call you they will expect your answers almost immediately.
7. During vacation, your half of time will go in coordination only. As post payment they will leave you on-ground to play alone. Now, you have to coordinate and arrange everything. They will just take your hard earned money and will make you pee. And will make sure that you begged everything from them and hence I used begged word multiple times in my feedback writing.
Insult To Travel Industry
Worst company that is an insult to the travel industry. They have no clue about service. I have been chasing since April for refund. Highly disappointing and this is evidence why international travellers do not trust Indian companies. 0 business ethics.... yatara.com should be banned from ever operating again. The owners should be ashamed
Terrible Tour Operator
We recently chosen Yatra(YH4409812) for International Holidays for the New Zealand . We have been touch with the company since August. We have already paid the huge amount of pacakge but we are facing huge penalty since the tour got cancelled for us. They always given false assurance to us that we will get the Visa before asking the Payment. The Visa never got approved . We tried to draw their attention towards the pending status of Visa but they were more concerned to serve their interest. I would advise fellow traveller to read the policies of the company and make sure to have your Visa approved in order to avoid cancellation charges. It will help you to avoid unnecessary follow up with the management to reimburse your money

this is an worst site I ever gone through,
we booked We reserved eros hotel room for three days from 16/04/2018 to 19/04/2018 for out one guest by yatra.com,But due to some avoidable circumstance he need to go Back to Tokyo today, so now we request them to change guest name in this booking. We speak to hotel staff also regarding this,but they also denied for any changes,now only we are the sufferer, who wasted our money for nothing

( Delhi -> Port Blair)
Day 1. Port Blair Hotel Shompen - Yatra showing it 4 star in Voucher. It's 3rd class hotel. And no ventiliation deluxe rooms. I changed to Family rooms by paying extra to hotel.
Day 2. After reaching Havelock; I WAS SURPRISED AS THERE WAS NO ROOM BOOKED FOR ME IN HOTEL( SYMPHONY PALMS). What was you doing of my money? Wait I am not alone; 2 Other families also suffering same problem. SHAME ON YOU. I got the room after 6 Hours sitting on Reception.
ALL YATRA PEOPLE EITHER SWITCHED OFF THEIR PHONES OR NOT PICKED( Including your Landline No.).
Finally one Yatra person reached by saying that HE IS ALSO SEARCHING ANOTHER JOB AS YATRA ALWAYS DELAY SALARY TO HIM.
Day 3. I will get Private Taxi as per Voucher. I always waited for 40~45 minutes for Taxi as 1 Driver has a load of 3~4 customers.
Day 4. For Sitapur Beach( Included in voucher); your people demanded extra money.
Day 5. Your employees are shameless. They can rush the customers to Jetty even 2 Hours in advance to save their own time only( even in rain). Whether one can catch Cruise even half an hour before easily.
Believe Reviews, Dont Go With Yatra
Myself Revanth Kumar, has started a new firm and in order to improve turnover of the same, we planned to offer a trip to our major customers and we decided a budget to work out for the targeted sale. As we are planning the trip in december, we decided to take them to Delhi, Manali and Agra as the chance of prior visit in our customers is less. My wife took care of this plan. We have enquired with Make my trip, Thomas cook, Travel triangle and we decided that it will not come in our budget. As we dont want to compromise in the quality of trip. Hence we decided to change the place. Before that As I have registered with Yatra also, those people called me and they said it will very well happen in your budget. I narrated all my requirements that I need Flight tickets to and fro, Stay of three nights in Delhi and 2 nights in manali in four star hotels. DInner and Breakfast to be complimentary in that hotels. They said every thing is ok and gave a package with in my budget. I was very confused becuase other people are not even near to it. So, I confirmed nearly 5 to 6 times whether every thing is ok and even I asked whether the budget you are telling is including flight only. Ms. Swati of Yatra spoke with me and Mr. Puneet is her manager, both of them confirmed it is very well correct. I paid them the initial advance and informed all my major 15 clients and Iam going to take them to these place. The hotels offered to me were Golden Tulip in delhi and whispering inn in manali. After a week, Ms. Swati called me saying that mistake happened while calculating the package and flight charge was not included and she immediately increased nearly 15000 per couple and I argued with her a lot and I didnt agree with the same and she went on reducing a little and finally she cried that she will lose her job if I didnt agree the increased one. I felt bad and finally agreed after a little bargain. After that She said Golden Tulip is very far from city, So I will offer Golden palms(near to golden tulip that I dono) to you. I agreed for the same. A week before the trip, I had made entire payment and I have checked my flight status which is confirmed and I called Golden palms hotel. They said it was not confirmed. However yatra has given a voucher to me. I have forwarded the same to hotel people. They asked me to confirm with Yatra only. I called yatra and they said it was booked in some other name that is in the name of travel agent Mr. Karthik of Himgiri Travels. The same was enquired by me and still they said no booking of 15 rooms on that day. I was very tensed and I kept on calling Mr. Tarush of yatra who was dealing with the same. He assured me for 100% and the day before trip, I got a call from Yatra that Golden palms has bounced my booking and they said they are giving accomodation in a* hotel and I have checked the same. It is very cheap graded. I didnt agree for it and I called golden palms and those people said Yatra has not made any payment so far. I called yatra and I argued with them and finally they said rooms were booked in golden palms for all the 3 nights and as I said I want a confirmation from hotel also, they kept me in conference and a front office guy of hotel told me its confirmed. Next day morning I went and the hotel people said it was confirmed only for half day not for three days and yatra people told them to offer a limited menu break fast that is only sandwich in morning. I got very angry and I called local police. Police came and spoke with the local travel agent. The agent finally agreed to give a accommodation in two star hotel and as the hotel is some what good and as I dont have any other option I agreed for the same. After first day in delhi, we proceeded to manali. Our plan is to stay a night in manali and proceed to delhi next day after dinner. But the hotel people has booked the hotel only for a day and they asked to us to vacate next day morning itself. I argued with them a lot and I have a conversation for lot of time and finally I made them agree. After taking lakhs of money, they have not kept a single promise.
1. Problem in accomodation.
2. The cabs and drivers are very bad and problematic.
3. Offered only veg food. I have asked for food both veg and non veg hotels where my accomodation will be. But they have given only veg food that to two or three items on the way in cheap graded restaurants.
DONT GO WITH YATRA. ITS MY SINCERE ADVISE. I HAVE ALL CALL RECORDS AND MAILS ALSO AND WITH THE SAME I AM ALSO PROCEEDING TO CONSUMER FORUM. THEY WONT COME TO CONTACT WHEN YOU ARE IN PROBLEM. I SUFFERED A LOT WITH YATRA.
Worst Site Dont Book Anything
The worst site where amount get stuck such a bad experience and yatra denied in accepting system problem ...very very bad site...worst experience...all lines are busy always of customer care...they really don't care as the money get deducted so guys never think to do a booking by yatra
Yatra A Slow Poision, Dies You Slowly Slowly.
In my experience, yatra is one of the worst travel company ever. Booking a package with Yatra.com seems committing suicide. I had been part of Yatra for so long, so I can say working with yatra is more worst than to book something with yatra. This Comany is good for nothing for its employees. Pathetic work experience working with Yatra.com. No one is ready to take employee feedback there. Mr. Shringi has got some highly educated but extremely non capable people in his core Yatra team, and they are least bother to know that whats going on in the organisation. Expensive gifts being exchanged to get the promotions. No matter how good you work, your promotions are based on how much butter you put on your seniors face. Yatra works policy of no investment and maximum profit. Employees of yatra pretend to be happy however none of them even is actually happy.
In cut short a company without proper management, and good for nothing.
Doesn't matter whether you book a package or you work with yatra, Yatra will bring you at a point where you will think that its better I will commit suicide than dealing with This pathetic organisation.

Never Ever Use Yatra
I choose yatra for my trip to Bali thinking that they would give a good service.
It was a horrible experience. The person who took my booking resigned and no one else was taking responsibility. After I wrote to sales head, one person was allotted and later he also resigned. Both times, yatra staff maintained that the person is on a medical leave !
I got my tickets and hotel voucher just 2 days before my travel and the name on air ticket was incorrect. The hotel was booked one starting from one day before arrival to one day before departure. So I was paying for a day before reaching and had no room on last night. When I asked to correct it, they booked half the period in a different hotel in a different city !
In this entire process I kept on calling yatra and I never got the person assigned. I was told that he will cal back ( Out of 24 times he didn't call even ONCE ! ). I could only talk to him when I insisted that I will hold for half an hour till he is busy.
I was going on a foreign trip. No one ever cared to give any details of formalities required or documents to carry. There was confusing info available on net but no one from yatra clarified anything.
