Do Not Visit

We stayed here for 10 days in August 2012. They hygiene was appalling and the toilets were covered with excrement and urine by midday. The water in the pool was grey not blue. Many people in the camp came home early due to diarrhoea and vomiting. My children aged 6 and 7 had terrible violent diarrhoea and vomiting, our entire row of tents also came down with the same sickness bug. Nice site but filthy - dont Visit it!!!

Great Site For Families Just Don't Book Through Keycamp!!

We have recently returned from a trip to Berny Riviere, France. The campsite is great for families with lots to do on the site and outside. The kiddies race track with little cars and motorbikes was an instant hit with our 3 year old. The bouncy castle was great for our 2 year old although he needed a little help to get in. The swimming pool complex is excellent for all ages and for our 2 boys the children's pool was great as it is one depth throughout so they both felt confident playing in the water. We went to Asterix Parc which we would highly recommend for all ages. Some great rides for little ones. unfortunately we booked through Keycamp and found all the mobiles homes filthy, not just our family but also the other 2 families that travelled with us. We had to deal with blood and vomit on mattresses from previous guests, lumps of mould surrounding the kids beds and then had to ask for an apology!!!The stained mattress was not changed but a cover just put on for some other poor unsuspecting customer. I noticed this as I was leaving the mobile to go to my 3rd allocated accommodation after refusing to stay in it. Other members of our travelling group got presented with a mobile with a hole in the wall, dirt all over the floor, stains all over soft furnishings and a table literally falling apart. So overall campsite really good, clean and tidy with excellent facilities but our stay not the best due to Keycamp service

As a party of 9, including a 2 year old and a 3 month old baby, we have just returned from a week at Berny Riviere. The park was exellent in that there was plenty to do for all ages and the little beach was perfect for the small child who spent happy hours making sandcastles and paddling (whether permittng). I rarely saw my husband as he was of fishing for carp and sturgeon which he said was well worth the trip alone. There were plenty of interesting places in the area to visit ,including some beautifully kept war graves just dotted round the countryside. Reims cathederal was beautiful and easy to get to and the roads were exellent. I also must mention Chez Micheline, just up the road in Berny Riviere village, which served us an exellent meal and the host could not have been more genial. He seemed genuinly delighted to have even small children in his restaraunt (British establishments take note) and was the perfect host as well as serving lovely food. Now for the down side.... Key Camp need to get their act together as far as the accomodation is concerned. When we went into our caravan, 1 of 2 we had rented, we opened the door to the 'double' bedroom(no room to dress or undress) and were met by a horribe smell which we discovered was coming from the blankets on the bed. On inspection these were found to be filthy, and stank so much we had to take them outside and open the windows. It was obvious that they had not been washed from the last occupancy. On checking with the other caravan we found they had the same problem and the small bedroom which the 2 year old was meant to sleep in was so smelly that it was unuseable. The travel cot they asked for would not fit in the bedroom so they had to sleep in the living room with the baby while the toddler slept in the double room on his own. I had to go to reception to ask for clean blankets and explained why but the girl I spoke to did not seem surprised in the slightest or apologetic, she just said she would have some sent over and wrote it on a list which I noticed contained requests for blankets from others. On the good side our shower was great, not so the other one. I would visit the site again as It is an exellent base from which to, explore the area but I would NOT book with Key Camp as the accommodation is, in parts, disgusting.

My Family Have Stayed In Le Croix Du Vieux Pont On

My family have stayed in Le Croix du vieux Pont on 3 occasions and are planning to spend 2 weeks again this year. The site itself big and busy but is very well managed with everything spotlessly clean. There is a lovely swimming pool complex with a range of different pools to suit everyone (kids pool, slide pool, large pool and outdoor waterpark). Adjacent to the pool complex is a pleasant bar with a games room upstairs and a disco room downstairs. There is a large terrace area where you can sit with a drink and watch the kids in the pool during the day and relax in the evening (if you are lucky like us with last years 30 degree plus temperatues).

The site has its own restaurant that I have personally never used. It is, by all accounts, very expensive and the food/service not particularly good. The takeaway is pretty decent offering the usual burgers/nuggets/pizza/chips etc etc.

The site has several lakes with fishing available. You can hire pedalos and canoes on one of the lakes and there is a nearby playground with a mini go cart track and trampolines (all cost extra). The site also boasts an all weather football pitch, a table tennis room and has its own man made beach complete with parasols and a pleasant beach bar/restaurant.

The pitches are generally very nice , most offering a good degree of privacy. Some offer shade but there are many (ours was one of them) that have no shade and the vans are face on to the sun all day. This is not pleasant when you get weather as hot as we had it last year. This may sound like a minor grumble but when you pay out a lot of money for the top of the range van you expect a decent pitch. I would say that the company we booked with are probably at fault here rather than the site. The nearby village of vic-sur-aisne is very pleasant with an ancient castle and some small shops including a bar/tabac, several bakers, a butchers and newsagents. There is also a small Intermarche all within 10 minutes walk of the site. In the other direction is Berny where you will find the fantastic Chez Michelin restaurant. Book it through the site, you will not be disapointed!!

Soissons is a 20 minute drive away and there is a massive Cora supermarket which is very reasonable. the petrol is cheap there too. DisneyLand is about 90 minutes by car and is a straightforward journey. Also you have Reims about an hour away which is well worth a visit both for it's fantastic architecture and its world famous Champagne houses. You can drive around the Champagne region which is worth the travel (not recommended for kids who get bored in a car!!)and stop off at some of the small Champagne Chateau to make a few purchases (recommended).

Back to the site there is a small shop that sells the basics and an on site bakery for your lovely fresh croissant and baguettes. It really does have everything you need for a great hiliday. Enjoy!!

We Stayed At La Croix Du Veiw Pont For A Week In J

We stayed at la croix du veiw pont for a week in July and we loved it. The man-made beach was a nice touch and we used it nearly everyday. The lifeguard was super, he was very eagle-eyed. There are a few fishing lakes, one of which is in the boating lake which isn't really convenient as you have to watch out for the fishing lines, but still fun in canoes or pedaloes. There is a restaurant on site(we didn't experience)which was always busy. We did use the takeaway(berney burger)which was very nice. The baguettes from the site supermarket were freshly baked and very nice. There are a few pools but were very cold even the jacuzzi was quite cold but the kids still had fun while i sat outside on a sunlounger.

It took me a couple of days to adapt to unisex shower/toilet blocks, but then it just became natural. We went on the disneyland Pars trip which was great. We loved this campsite that much that we are going back for 2 weeks next year and we can't wait.

£15 Sun Holiday Booking So A Bargain Price,i

£15 sun holiday booking so a bargain price,I wouldn't pay full price however as I think you'd have better value in an air conditioned hotel mid summer and get TV ! The area was not too commercialised. Everywhere I went I said 'Bonjour, Pardon je ne parlez pas Francais bien' with a big smile & people were more than helpful.

The reps for ALL the various holiday groups were friendly and helpful. We were stationed next to the drainage -it was stinky in the july heat. But also right next to the complex. The pools were lovely, the place was clean, local shops nearby, as their campsite baguettes were awful. We arrived early @ 8am due to an night ferry and used the facilities all day.Our little girl was ill on the 1st day the staff were very concerned & offered help.

The caravan was clean but hot so we were glad we brought a fan. No TV so glad we had the nintendo DS/Laptop for little one to watch DVD's on.

The caravan had a cooker with oven & a large fridge freezer. So we froze lots of little drinks to take to disneyland in out packed lunch.

There is no evening programme like in the UK, except for 1 kiddies disco. You can pay 5E & use your laptop with unlimited wi-fi by the bar daily,if lucky find a plug socket to use as well.

Each site was cordoned off with trees so it gave some measure of privacy, the most were 2 to a site. Ours had decking,we took advantage of the free coal & had a BBQ.Nearby Soissons was lovely(macdonalds) ~ Pierrefonds nearby has a beautiful fairytale castle(creepy crypt in cellar). Disneyland is a good 60- 90 minutes drive depending on how early you leave/traffic.

Despite the sewage smell, I really couldn't fault the place, we had a good time despite madams sickness. French Supermarkets open 9am and shut by 8pm, some are open a little later, they ALL SHUT FOR LUNCH. So if you are a late arriver and need a few supplies overnight, stop en route and buy or go without ...

A Lovely Family Campsite, Fantastic!! Loads To Do

A lovely family campsite, fantastic!! Loads to do for the children to keep them busy all day long. Lovely swimming pools/a man made beach/parks/fantastic fishing lakes. They organise trips via coach to disneyland paris and to paris itself. We stopped on a ready made pitch,And the faciliies were fabulous with local aminities very local. Entertainment for the children was lovely with kids clubs during the day and the odd disco twicw a week, but plenty to do in the evenings. And still very relaxing for couples/groups. Suits most types. Not suitable though for young groups as its based more on families. Over all a lovely family holiday. Going again next year!! five star No complaints

This Is Our 6th Visit To This Park We Love It That

This is our 6th visit to this park we love it that much the park itself is lovely its within good distance of Paris and Euro disney which you are able to book on site and also have the option to go by coach which has a added cost but is worth it if your not to sure about travelling yourself. There is a shop, bar, takeaway, resturant, pool and if you like fishing you can do that hear on sight the shop is quiet expensive but there is a inter marcha just down the road which is cheaper the bar is quiet pricey to they takeaway is quiet good value for money if you fancey a night off the pool is lovely i could not get my children out off it they loved it that much there is also a park and some other bits on site which do cost extra but if you wont five min its worth it.There is a little family run resturant which is five min down the road from the site called chez mich its cheaper than the site resturant and they are very welcoming you do have to book as they get very busy and they are quiet small but there food is lovely and there drinks are cheaper than on site we went to this resturant 3 times in two weeks its that nice.We stayed with siblu in there three bed elegence this van is lovely and the staff are helpfull. There are things to do around this site and plenty of places to visit. One thing that i would not recommend is the rideing school which is just at the top off the entrance to the park reason for this is that myself and two friends decided to treat ourselves to a ride and it turned into a disaster this rideing school is advertised by the park the staff at the school are able to speak english when they wont but do act dump when things go wrong we managed to book our hour session in english when we turnt up they seemed to have a problem and we ended up haveing to wait once they sorted out our booking they then bought out our horses my horse was huge he was nearly 18 hands high which is a bit to big if not done it for a while once monted after no help what so ever i then waited for my friends to be ready there horses were half the size of mine once we were ready thats when the problems really started we were just about to leave when the boss of the stable decided to push my friends horse into mine after my friend trying to tell her what she was doing but no one listoning it then set my horse off into a bit off a mood which he then decided to bolt down through the stable with me still on him i was trying to stop him with no sucsess which he then decided to throw me and trapped my leg under him the boss of the stable just sat there and tried to get my friends to carry on after my friends shouting and a man that spoke english telling them they were finally allowed to get off well i spent the rest of my day at the hospital and we had to fight to get our money back so would not recommend using this stable at all they did later say that all the horses should have been on leads which my friends were but mine wasent as they forgot which would have prevented this from happening all the staff at the stable found this highly amuzing as you could see them laughing and they didn't bother asking if i was ok they were more concerned about the horse it took half AN HOUR TO GET OUR MONEY BACK AND CONSIDERING WE BOOKED IN ENGLISH WITH THIS WOMEN SHE ALL OF A SUDDEN COULDN'T SPEAK A WORD OFF ENGLISH this was my second time at this stable and neither experiance was good so i really would not recommend it at all.Other than the rideing school the rest of our holiday was brilliant and would recomend this sight to anyone.

Excellent Holiday With Lots To Do For The Kids, Ac

Excellent holiday with lots to do for the kids, accomodation is good and nearby supermarket has everything you could want. Setting is lovely. We went in Paris for a day (would recommend you book train tickets well in advance as booking on the day was hideously expensive). Also within easy reach to Eurodisney which is an awful place but kids love it!!!

An Excellent Campsite Well Placed For Visiting Par

An excellent campsite well placed for visiting Paris & Disney.

Good pools on site and plenty for kids to do.

The canvas kids clubs are great with pleasant experienced staff.

We stayed in a Canvas 2 Bed lodge deluxe which was very good indeed, well equipped and with a lovely quiet location at the far end of the site but not too far really from the pool and amenities.

Soissons station is 20 mins drive (We took a day out by train to Reims *change at Laon)

The Intermarche in the village is fine but there are better supermarkets in Soissons such as 'Cora'.

Te takeaways on site are ok and all of them are English speaking (But are more friendly if you make the effort to speak French)
