No Gluten Free Options On Sunday Evening Menu

Will never visit here again. Just another one to add to the list of businesses that do not cater for gluten allergy. Sunday night menu is so poor I was resigned to eating a portion of chips from the chippy. Am so sick and tired of businesses who have no option for food allergies an intolerances. You wonder why your business struggles when you alienate so many of your customers.

Disappointed

I booked the weekend Friday to Monday for my family me, daughter, three grandchildren age 12,7 & 2yr.

Pool closed Friday, all swimming slots taken on line, was told "just walk in, it's not busy". Early slot nothing available. 11.30 slot had to queue 30 mins. Total mayhem every one gets out same time to get changed and leave the pool before we were allowed to go in, same mayhem when we finished, whistle goes all have to get out!! Not enough changing rooms. Same scenario on Sunday, this time had to queue outside for half hour. Pool then closed completely at 12.30 on Sunday, and all day Monday.

We went to milkshake for the little one, there was a technical hitch, so we made a mask, then asked to leave. They are kids entertainers, could they not creat a game or entertain?? Every thing on the day for the kids was on extra payment only. It was raining all weekend. I paid £189 for weekend (3 nights), expected some fun and swimming SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

The evening show starts at 17.30 this was GOOD, also the soft play for 2 year old.

Restaurant expensive, we ate off site. Wouldn't recommend this park.

Worst Caravan Site

Dirty caravan, oven microwave carpet kitchen stools & bedroom smelt of urine.i at to go to asda to buy cleaning products.Dead flies on dressing table,Broken blinds door frame & handles. Couldn't use swimming pool as was all booked 2 weeks before. Was given pink chicken in restaurant. My daughter fell over as no street lights working which I reported at reception, we stayed for a week & lights still was not fixed. Entertainment was cut short due to traveller's which they did not do anything what I saw,we had to leave our drinks ect so I wasted money this happened twice. The kids park needed security always fights & arguments plus park should of been closed at certain times due to safety as was really dark but was left open even till very late.Rubbish never picked up outside caravans for the whole week we was there.i should of taken notice of reviews & not booked this. Absolutely apoorling

Park Book In Relax

This is not my first visit nor will it be the last. From the time I make a booking and subsequently call to change dates pitches etc. All of my changes are made with cheerful professionalism and courtesy. Every member of staff that I interact with makes mine and my entourage's time here a time to remember. the site is regularly patrolled by an army of grounds men and cleaners. Although there are no children in my group I cant remember seeing any on site looking glum or bored they all seem to be having a great time letting of steam.

For adults there is always great entertainment by a professional group of youngsters who work there socks off in between the brought in acts.

I use both the sites vans which are clean and modern also my own tourer and have stayed on a variety of pitches all with plenty of room around them and the whole park is landscaped and a pleasure to walk through.

I wont harp on about what facilities are on site just look in the brochure. Its the staff that Make Vauxhall Holiday Park as great as it is.

And the town and beach of Great Yarmouth is only a short stroll away.

All I can add is give it a try.

Decided To Try An Individual Park As Opposed To Th

Decided to try an individual park as opposed to the usual Park Resorts, Parkdean etc .... swimming pool and splash park are faultless, entertainment was ok, plenty of seating, air conditioning etc, but on two nights the caberet failed to appear with no back up plan in force. Jade kebab shop was run by what looked like 16 year old lads as was the chip shop, food was swimming in grease and inedible, pizza outlet along with seafood shop were faultless restaurant we didn't try out. Caravan on arrival had a non speaking English person cleaning it, shame she forgot to remove a childs had prints from all over the main mirror in the lounge along with lord knows what brown coloured substance off the heater in the main bedroom. Security, if you can call it that consisted of a few guys wearing SECURITY shirts chatting to each other outside, not once in the 7 days we were there were we asked for our passes, nor did we ever see the entrance barrier in the down position.

Had I paid the price Vauxhall wanted to charge (£680) I would have been gutted, thank goodness I hunted about and found the same caravan grade via Hoseasons loads cheaper (£418), same week etc. Location of the park is ideal, 2 mins in the car to Asda, 5 mins from the seafront so no complaints there, beware of noisy RAF planes tho !! I had a moan on their Facebook web page but it was removed so be cautious reading wall posts there, they seem to keep the good ones and delete the bad. I would maybe return if another bargain price appeared but there are far nicer, cheaper sites around the area.

If You Have A Tourer You Need To Read This. On Ar

IF YOU HAVE A TOURER YOU NEED TO READ THIS. On arrival we were very concerned about the size of the pitches. We have a large caravan and consequently a large vehicle to pull it. The pitches are very very small. We were sited up a very narrow road onto such a tiny pitch our back window was in the bush and the jockey wheel on the road. We asked for a more suitable pitch but could only be offered a pitch that we were at that time able to pull in and park sideways on,there are no better pitches and you are on top of each other. When the awning was up the only place to park the car was in front of the awningbeing careful to try and stay off the road. That meant nowhere to sit outside. Most of the reviews are written by people who go regularly so they dont have anything to campare this site to. When we pulled our van off the first pitch we damaged it trying to get it out of the narrow gate which has another gate at a 45 degree angle which is also so narrow we just got stuck, the staff couldnt care less. If you have a van over about 15ft dont go. We think the pitches were originally for use for tents (and some of them only just fitted). The day we had a severe downpour our pitch and the one next to us (in tent) flooded and we could only get out because we had brought wellies and the complex also flooded. Whilst the toilets/showers are cleaned regular because of the poor drainage the floors are constantly muddy not very warm and only suitable if you're less than 5ft you will need to take your own mop/bucket and washing up bowl. There are no separate private wash basins so you clean your teeth in the toilet sink or your own van. The washing up is done INSIDE the toilets and although there are 3 sinks only 2 people can really work in such cramped conditions. There are 3 supermarkets close by but the beach is 1.5 miles away. Dont be fooled by the brochure pictures this site could have been used for an episode of Life on Mars, it is so outdated. The kids liked the swimming poolwhich is quite modern and we liked the restaurant but the entertainment was appalling. The entertainment room has pillars all over so you cant see the stage or the dance floor. If you are used to sites with standards this is not for you. Please remember most people who go to this site go nowhere else and therefore it can be quite 'clicky' People we spoke to who were visiting for the first time were not impressed, we in fact as did others leave early as we were so bored as you cant get a TV reception no matter how good your equipment! Vauhall Holiday Park looks good from the road but unless they invest heavily in updating the pitches/facilities it will only get worse.
