Restaurant Full Of Flies And Dogs

If you love dogs this is the place for you as they’re all over this site, even in the seats in the restaurant- need to give seats a brush before you sit down due to dog hairs.

Restaurant so full of flies you can’t enjoy your meal.

The lazy river is clean and good for families.

Paid for early check in but was told this wasn’t something available at this park, even when I showed my confirmation email - later complained to be told we should have been allowed to check in as apparently our caravan was available but refund for booking in early refused.

No signal on most of the site which is a shame as ordering is via a haven app so app is pretty pointless

Cleanliness,flies , Food

Reighton sands Haven site

After opening the door and being met by the North Yorkshire fly army and a smell that could have knocked you out as well as Chloroform I knew we were sunk ..

It took me 1 hour and 30 mins to clear the van whilst my wife tried to get us moved but no avail the staff were very negative and not interested in the slightest…

As fit kitchens and bathrooms I looked for the cause of the smell and found the main soil pipe to be uphill for the last six foot of pipe so I got under the van and corrected the pipe…ffs

After this the smell calmed down the flies were almost gone

That first night I wanted to sleep on the beach the springs in the beds were covered in tissue I think

The first morning we put the oven on to cook bacon sausage for breakie as the frying pan was ???? and then found it took over an hour because the oven door does not shut correctly so I spraggled it with the broom….

So Thurs we booked a table and went for a meal for a birthday treat and found we’re all the fly army vacated

to … the wife’s spagboll could have been used to grease the bike chain and my father in law had lumps in his mash like pebbles on the beach ……..????

All in all a ???? experience and won’t be returning soon

Appalling Service In Restaurant/bar

Been visiting reighton for several years. Generally wonderful place lots of fun. I don't know what's happened this year but the Hawkwood restaurant is

Very understaffed, a reduced menu, Wait for food over 1 hrs and that's after waiting for 30 mins or longer for service. Food not up to usual standard and tables left sticky . The wait for drinks at bar due to lack of staff unbelievably slow. Staff were bickering and flustered and generally not enough of them . Facilities are overcrowded, difficult to get seat in club. Almost impossible to book swimming slots had to wait for walk in sessions with fingers crossed . Very upsetting for grandchildren and especially disappointing as play passes cost over £300. Never ever thought I would be writing a bad review for Reighton sands. Come home 2 days early as had enough

Disappointment.

Great Park And Improved Since Our Last Visit. Woul

Great park and improved since our last visit. Would recommend going on touring one site, toilets always kept clean, wardens regularly seen walking around checking all ok. The swimming pool inside and out was enjoyed by the children. Entertainment always great for the children. Could do with another food outlet like other haven sites ie papa johns or Burger King. All in all a great holiday apart from the winds and rain which can't be helped, British weather!

Friendly Place And Very Welcoming

This was our 2nd visit to reighton sands and we was very pleased with the 7 day stay.We checked in with no problems, the caravan was very clean. Night time was very enjoyable. The funstars are excellent, had loads of time for every child. The bar staff was very friendly and never waited long to be served. very pleased and will be going back every year now with my family.

Friendly, Clean And Great

Reighton sands,

Would defiantly go again, we arrived at the park and it was in a nice quiet and friendly environment,

The staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay,

The on site shop was reasonably priced and the bar and mash and barrel were too.

There was a lovely private gold sandy beach with a steep slope as access but couldn't be helped and the good point was that there was a tractor ride running 10am until 4pm wich was free and was really helpful.

The site was really clean and security were very friendly, we were placed in a nice quiet area wich was good as we didn't have any noise from the complex. We had a lovely caravan it was a private one and it had a nice big balcony so it was great for the kids to play on.

The complex and arcade has been reviewed previously as small, ok the arcade could of been a little bigger but it was big enough, and the entertainment room was quiet big it was big enough for us to be able to get a table every night without struggle.

To sum it up would DEFINATLY reccomend it to anyone who is thinking about staying!!!!

Fine If Your On A Budget

Accommodation was fine but basic as you would expect. Reasonably clean however the shower has seen better days and didn't look very clean at all. We had to air out the caravan as it smelt very musty but I think it hadnt been used for a few weeks. I would go again as we did ejoy ourselves and our friends had a good time too

Average

we used to go to reighton sands all the time every year while our kids were growing up, we found that it was a small park with minimum entertainment and well we liked it cos it was small and quiet and we couldnt lose our kids there lol. the last time we went though i was very very dissapointed, the staff wasnt as friendly as they used to be and we found a huge dead rat outside the booking offices, we reported this and the woman did not look shocked at all she stood there and said in front of us, not another and then put a bucket over it which stayed there several hours before they disposed of it,

we went for our meal in the restaraunt and was dissapointed, where as before it tasted homecooked, it now tasted like a £1.50 microwave meal, the chip shop there isnt bad, and the funworks are fun, the statics seam to have gone downhill, we asked for a prestige and got the same one as last year that wasnt even prestige class,

at one time i would have give this a very high rating but now it gets a thumbs down from me, its not as clean as it used to be and staff not as friendly. nowadays i stick to havens hafan y mor in north wales, much cleaner nicer site.
