Haven Holidays, Riviere Sands

We have stayed here twice via the Sun £9.50 holidays. As it was a deal via the Sun we weren't expecting it to be great.

On the contrary, the park was lovely and clean, the caravans clean and modern.

The staff were very friendly on arrival and the kids entertainment (our daughter is 4) was fantastic.

I will continue to book with Haven Rivière Sands on future holidays. 5*

We've have 5 kids aged from 6 to 14 and every single one loved it including the adults

Will defiantly be back next year

We would like to give a special mention to fun stars as they were amazing and made our hoilday really special

Everything was really clean and tidy and all the staff really friendly

And the views are amazing

well i think this holiday was awesome and i really enjoyed it esp.surf lessons and just chillin out on the beach but i think the beach access could be improved but I LOVED IT,

the most friendly staff we have met on any holiday no matter how much pressure they were under cornish cafe always seemed under staffed for peak season, bluff good service never waited longer then 40 minutes for well prepared meal

Having read some of the reviews on Haven Riviere Sands before we went away we were worried what we might find when we got there. Luckily we were pleasantly surprised to find a very nice holiday park. We arrived at around midday and were told that check in hadn't started yet which we know when we booked it and we were supposed to check in a 4pm but when we came back at 2.30pm our caravan was ready. Check in was very quick and easy and when we got to our caravan it was very modern, clean, well equipped and well presented with a nice view of the sea and we wer able to park right next to it rather than 50 feet away like in some holiday parks). There was plenty to do on the park as well as in the surrounding area which made a fantastic holiday for our three kids (all under 6 years old). The staff were friendly, helpful and polite and the entertainment in the evening was good fun.

I would definately recommend this place to friend and will be going back for another holiday next year this time slightly longer so we can make full use of all the parks activities.

After reading one review I thought the haven site was great and absolutely enjoyed it I would defently come again my in laws loved it was wasn't to busy and my son had a great coming from Cornwall myself I'd will be booking again don't take no notice of what people say come and visit yourself you will have a wonderful time the entertainment was excellent please don't let these people put you off when we went to Wales on our first hoilday it was very good to noise and enttertainment was very poor would not go again the staff at hayle were fantastic and very very helpful when my son was I'll they where great about it and I couldn't complain see you all again very soon come here people its GREAT

i came home today from rivera sands THANK GOD.

i have to say i was very disopointed by this haven site. having staid at peron sands i expected the same. i had four children with me 11,7,6, and 14mnts one of which is disabled. i booked a standard 3 bed caravan. ON arival i first noted that the site was very dated and small. i then went to check in. staff were very polite and helpfull i got my keys and proceded to my caravan. the van was not nice but the park was fully booked so i had to make the most of it. havin staid at Quay west wales the week before it was a big let down. there was mold on the curtians. and of bathrom walls and floors strips were hanging off with staples proud, dirty matress. melted cutlerly. tatty caravan stunk of cigarets.

then to top it off outside the caravan was used as a car prk. by STAFF!!!!. one morning i opend the door to find at the bottom of the steps was a staff van. one morning a large green waste bin was placed outside and not moved.

disabled acsess to club was through the fire exit at the back of the club!! which if the seats were full at the top u were stuffed as there were steps to next levels very poor. swimming pool was freezing. toilets smelly and dirty changing room chaty. amusments poor. not a nice place.

very very disapointed ruined my holiday. if u like bein pkd in like sardines and dont mind dirt for ur £600.00 a week then this is the place for u.

We are at Rivi re Sands now, preparing for our last evening on-site. Having read the reviews on here, we were a little concerned about the quality of holiday that we were about to have.

We needn't have worried. The camp is well presented. The staff are all friendly, although it takes a while to get used to their Cornish speed of working! The chippy is good, the food in the Bluff Inn is really good and the beer is good too. The entertainment do their best to do a good job without causing upset or embarrassment.

The Exclusive caravans have a superb view of the sea and, if you are lucky, as we have been, you will have a fab time here. All the caravans are a good standard, so don't feel unsure about booking a cheaper unit than the Exclusive range.

We have just returned from another short break at Riviere Sands, they have made loads of improvements for this year, the pool has been updates and looks great, new entertainment and more out side acts, they food at The Bluff has improved alot with the new menu,

During our stay we had a massive power cut,lasted about 6 hours til about 1am, not the fault of the park, a cable had come down but with in about 30 minutes they had the staff out knocking doors and explaining and checking on us all, the staff came from everwhere and was organised by Jan and team in reception. The big boss turned up and arranged candles and matches to be brought around, they showed they really cared about the guests

The weather was good to us some of the week so we managed to see even more of Cornwall. We have booked again for later this year(June) and cant wait to go back

Caravan was dirty on arrival although a note was left saying it had been cleaned.Great if you want to spend the first 45 minutes of your holiday cleaning.

The caravan left a lot to be desired since holidaying in October, you don't expect the weather to be great.

However there were missing window wedges on nearly all windows which meant that they could not be closed properly. When the wind got up the curtains were blowing all over the place and it was freezing cold.

The whole place needs a makeover.

The Bluff inn next to the site was good although the prices for some items were horrific e.g. bottle of Newcastle Brown ale was £4.25.
