Trufffles Campsite, Robin Hill, Isle of Wight

Trufffles (yes 3 f's!) simple eco camping, Robin Hill, Isle of Wight:

We stayed with our two daughters on the new, small and beautiful 28 day campsite (approx 2 miles from Robin Hill). With compost WC, tap and and solar shower camping can't be more simple than this. I felt it was my first go at wild camping and that's from a Londoner like me who usually likes Glamping!. The 5 acre meadow is peaceful and offers a wonderful stay in the middle of the island. Trufffles doesn't have a website - bookings are mainly word of mouth but you phone up on 07582 876145 and book your pitch. It's only a couple of miles from Robin Hill and at £5 per night per tent it is fantastic value. This has to be the most tranquil and meditative eco campsite on the island. I'm so glad we stayed there and we are planning to return next year too. They have some animals on a smallholding next door and you can buy eggs for breakfast and veggies from their veggie patch.

A website would be good but when you meet the warm and enthusiastic people who run it you can see why it hasn't been a priority... maybe they'll get round to creating a website for next year?!
