When we travelled on the Magica it was not long after it's launch. The ship is awash with gold and glitter, very Las Vegas in style. I understand the decor cost a fortune but to be honest it looked distinctly like it had been the victim of changing rooms and I am not sure how well it will wear. The food on board is not as good as some of the other Costa ships, probably due to the sheer scale of the passengers to be catered for. It does however have a great outdoor pool deck area and is big enough to seem spacious even when fully occupied. The optional trips are good, the bicycle tour of Barcelona was especially memorable.
